I bought this the other day, I've unpacked it and it works fine, yet I received a 2 pin power adapter for it, which I'm a bit miffed about. it's a 6v 1.5A DC adapter but why was I supplied one?
With these do you have to buy Speakers? And if you dont where dose the sound come from your Laptop? And if you do what speakers are cheap and good for beginers? Please Reply have to order them before christmass
Question: Can you use the jog wheels for pitch bending as well (apart from scratching). If yes is there a button and you chose the mode (scratch or pitch bend).
I prefer it over the VCI for a couple reasons; The knobs are bigger and easier to manipulate, the unit is symmetrical, it perfectly maps to traktor, the effects banks are better, and it has a mid-entry sound card. The VCI has better jog wheels for scratching, but since you play house, there is no need for scratching. Check them both out and make your decision carefully.
The RDJ2 with Traktor has 23 effects. You can control 6 at a time and you can change them on the controller (no need to touch the pc). My only complaint about the RDJ2 is that the sound card is not fully professional, its only 16 bit compare to industry standard 24 bit. For small parties it works flawlessly though. I plan on getting a louder sound card (Audio 4) if I ever take this unit to a bar or club.
hi mate, when you say the scratching on the vci-100 is better than the reloop how do you mean the reloop has touch sensitive jog wheels dont it.?? im asking cause im thinking of buying the reloop.
The jog wheels are touch-sensitive but they are somewhat "heavy" for their size. They are also very sensitive. They work extremely well for searching but for scratching, they don't feel natural. Overall I love the DJ-2, and I'm very satisfied with it. Hope that helps!
but i considered the price difference between the two.
this one is approx 400$ and the vci 300 is 900$ or so.
vci 300 is obviously better, it has more features such as beat jumping (i tihnk it was called) and such, but if it is worth 500$ more than this one, i don't know
ahh alright, yeah that'd make it mad expensive though.
Numark NS7 is hugeee though, not really protable. although it looks amazing.
what did you mean when you said that the RDJ2 can't take private parties? do you mean that i can't take my laptop and the RDJ2 to a party and spin some tunes?
would be nice if he talked about the quality of the buttons and rotaries etc rather than just banging on about what it can do.... no good if it cant be taken on the road and bashed about a bit
The up-faders are very solid and slide with minor pressure. The cross-fader is loose and moves freely and fast. All of them, including the eq knobs, are sturdy and feel professional.
nice video again , i have been using them a lot to show people equipment and techniques , some djs think they know it it all and will slag some off your vids off not releasing at people are at different levels . end of the day its all interesting stuff.
1 quick question for you.
can you play both anolouge and digital at the same time , ie 1 x turntable in one channel and virtual deck in another ?
i think i have answered my own question with a go buy the xone 4d lol.
Im Using the Hercules RMX with 2 TT. This thing can mix TT with TT & TT with digital & Digital with Digital. But only the Line fader, crossfader, EQs will effect the Aux-inputs, so you have no effects at the aux inputs.
I'm wondering, what is the difference between Reloop DJ1, and this - DJ2? More effects buttons? Better durability? Also I want to see price of this kit.
This could be hard player at MIDI controler market.
What's the difference between
Reloop digital jockey 2
Reloop digital jockey 2 Interface edition
Reloop digital jockey 2 Master Edition
Cause its a difference of 100 euro.

Hi, thnkx for the great vids. I'm thinking of buying this exact version but have a question about the speaker connections and how that works.
Do I need to connect speakers directly to the digital jockey 2 IE through the RCA connection or will it run over my laptop internal speakers as well?
Because if I have to connect RCA speakers it would mean I'd have to include them in my budget calculation.... so any thoughts on that?
thanks ahead for the help. keep up the great work, david.

@Gethamine yes on the interface and Master edition (which i own) is there a headphone output, but there isnt on the controller edition :)

I think vci 300 is better but is most expensive. and now we have a problem. In this money Reloop is pretty good
ramzesfx 2 years ago
@ramzes As far as upgrade factor goes though, i think the ReloopDJ2 or VCI-100 would be better, since the VCI-300 only runs Serato Itch..

Thats what i was thinking, i'm not playing hip hop ect... Also, there are no effect for the VCI (i need an external FX controller which costs alot..)
Those the RDJ 2 got effects?
Seems to me that the RDJ2 got more value for money... Is the interface edition the best?
seems like you have tried both the vci and the rdj2.. thanks, any help appreciated,

i bought the vci 300 last week..
It's very good !!.. But to get all the feautres you'll need the VFX-1 controll too.. So it's going to be very expensive..
The RDJ2 is like the vci 300 + VFX-1 in one, but just worse quality..
The vci300 is better, but if you cant afford it, you cant afford it.. take the RDJ2..
But the vci300 is better, and the RDJ2 cant take private parties ect.. The vci300 can..
Also if you wanna spend even more.
check out the NS7
