@CoD6HModthedeisel No they're just having fun with batteries that have already reached the end of their useful life or which were already damaged by dropping or being in a crash. The battery has to be disposed of anyway.
lipos are very safe but they will do this if you do one of 3 things: short out a fully carged lipo, hook it to a car battery, or use the wrong charger.
This is a prime example of people going to extremes to make a point... These batteries do not blow up if used properly.
