9 out of 10, its a laqueur. It works great on wood, and its what you commonly see used on any wood thats shiny (wood chairs, tables, cabinets etc). When dried, its very durable and easy to keep polished.

im pretty sure its a 2 part epoxy, the torch is used to get rid of any air bubbles so that you get a super clear smooth finish
