  • a very educational and informative videos,

  • i recommend all marcos loyalists to read "the conjugal dictatorship" by primitivo mijares, marcos's media hatchet man and one of his former top aides. be enlightened.

  • 5:11 i wondering if that kind of rally now against PGMA is effective

saludo ako sa mga taong nag pursigeng tanggalin ang kamalian

im proud to be a filipino

  • kawawa naman c cory 0:38.. i was there in her funeral (SLEX Magallanes, Makati) and very proud of it.. GO CORY!!

  • it's so sad that only a few people have appreciated the real essence of democracy

  • ninoy aquino really fulfilled his promise to return to the philippines and made the ultimate sacrifice by dying at the tarmac. it wa on ly then that the filipinos have regained their senses and realized what ninoy did to our country that is to restore freedom and democracy which Mr. Marcos curtialed during his 20 more years in power.

  • martial law can also help, a very huge help to the country , if it is used in a proper way . it can reduce crimes^^

  • There's truth in what you said.

Unfortunately, Marcos declared martial law under false pretenses. Sure, he wanted to eradicate crime and quell the insurgency perpetrated by the so-called anarchists...but also included in his plans was his ambition to be in power for life just like all the dictators in history.

  • Thanks for the upload. But I believed Marcos had also great contributions for this country, no doubt about it. It's just that, if behind the success of a man is a woman, also behind his downfall, it's also a woman.

  • Thanks for the appreciation. No one can deny Marcos' contribution to our country. Of course he did something good; it's just that his inability to let go of power was his biggest mistake. His good legacy could've been left intact had he let the 1973 elections to take its course.

  • NinoyAquinoTV:

I believe that Mr. Marcos prevailed over Ms. Aquino during the election. It was a clean election, as we witnessed in the province and through reports from our roots in other parts of the country. Even when Ms. Aquino had a lot of supporters, the Filipino People still knew that Mr. Marcos was the better candidate and is better able to lead the country in so many ways. To note, the Philippine Government at that time was under threat from foreign elements.

  • proclamation1081:

Not just I, but most people believed that Marcos prevailed because he rigged the snap elections;that's why the outcry for his ouster was tremendous! Foreign & local observers composed of diplomats & statesmen confirmed that. Sure,Marcos had a lot of supporters, but it was the same people who supported him that kicked him out of power, for the simple reason that the country was going nowhere but down! He's a brilliant man I can tell you,but the people had enough of him!

  • And just who are the foreign elements that the government was under threat from? The dictatorship wasn't under threat from the outside, but within its own!

If you're talking about the ASEAN, they were so concerned of the peace&order situation that's happening,w/c Marcos can no longer control because he's gravely ill! USA has already lost its confidence on Marcos...that's why Reagan has ceased his support of him. Marcos should be thankful that he was at least escorted out of the country!

  • If only the Filipino People knew, Mr. Marcos was successful in securing the Republic from foreign threat. There were valid report and reliable sources that foreign catalysts were behind the funding of the NPAs. Mr. Marcos was blamed for the violence and disasters in the country; However, it's too obvious that Mr. Marcos wasn't stupid enough (i.e. assassination of Mr. Aquino). Mr. Marcos knew that he needed more time to create a new beginning for the country, and that only he can do it.

  • What foreign threats? Tell us! Didn't u realize that it was during Marcos' time that these threats sprouted like mushrooms? Why is that?Because there was dissatisfaction on his leadership!

"Mr. Marcos knew that he needed more time 2 create a new beginning for the country, & that ONLY he can do it."

Are you saying 20 years wasn't enough for him? You got to be kidding! Sounds to me that you refer to him as the Philippines' only hope for salvation! Too bad, his "brilliance" wasn't enough!

  • Greetings!

Number one threat was from the U.S. of A. As we all know, the Subic/Clark are strategic to the US control of the Orient. However, Mr. Marcos was not someone whom the U.S. of A can push around. U.S. of A knew that any time, Mr. Marcos can kick them out of the country. In addition, as history dictates, the U.S. of A is known for maneuvers and tactics including instilling sedition within the underlying target (i.e. Philippines) to gain control of the target.

  • Hey there!

I agree with you on that. USA has been known 2 protect its vested interest from different parts of the world. They knew Subic & Clark are VERY vital in their stronghold 2 combat communism initiated by then USSR due 2 its strategic location in the Pacific. When USA felt that their grip on Marcos was slipping away because of his political issues, they simply dropped him off in order to protect the 2 precious bases!

Talking about "policing" the world! USA would do everything!

  • 20 years isn't enough for people who think it's harder to make the change than to remain suffering...it's also been 20 years since the Philippines is under governance by subsequent presidents, but I don't see substantial improvements...To be blunt, the country is more pathetic these days than in the past..it only shows that years of service is not the measure or benchmark...The presidency and its country are dynamic...He was the Philippines only hope for salvation, because no one else was capable.

  • For what it's worth,Filipinos today are more free than they were during the time of Marcos. That's all I can say.

On the other hand,it's sad 2 know that they have ABUSED this so-called freedom & takes it for granted! The result?Coup de etat left & right, insurgencies, terrorism, traditional politicians running wild like they own the place, street activists who protests a lot and offers no absolution, & losing candidates who cry foul whenever they lose an election!

    So much for democracy!

  • It was known that Libya was behind the funding of the rebels. From what I recall, Imelda even made a courtesy call to Muammar al-Gaddafi... I'm not sure though if anything happened to their talks.

  • If you'd remember the the raid happened somewhere in the province of Isabela, where the military confiscated from the so-called "rebels" significant quantity of arms and ammunition that where imported in the country from a foreign source. It was well known that funding sources came from Hong Kong, Europe and the U.S. of A.

  • That was just sad. Even during those times, you can never fully trust "our friends" from the outside! No wonder these commie bastards are still running wild in the mountains. I bet even today, these gung-ho elements are receiving financial aid, inside or outside the country.

  • @NinoyAquinoTV where can i watch the whole thing for free

  • I was 6 yrs old when Ninoy died.I could'nt barely remember what really happened then, but I remember listening to the radio everyday with my parents. Thanks to this video...It brings nationalism to remember history of our country...

  • Thanks for the appreciation kabayan. Ninoy of course will never be forgotten...we'll just have to preserve his legacy, which is what we're doing here on this channel. =)

  • i thought Marcos is innocent about the assassination of Ninoy Aquino, i thought the real one who killed Ninoy, the mastermind is Fidel V. Ramos. because he knows that, the one will blame is Marcos,Ramos is too intelligent.. .God knows wat is the real. ..this is just my opinion only.

  • The first thing Marcos did was to order the closures of unwary media establishment, his troops fanned out all over the country to arrest and detain his political opponents, business rivals, militant student and labor leaders, critical journalist. He also ordered the sequestration of properties of his critics on the pretense that these properties were used as instrument of subversion.

  • Alright...just like before!!!

Way to go Ninoy Aquino TV!!!
