    Magic isn't ;-)

     35mm film, quite common by the 1940's, has a higher pixel addressability than 1080p "HD" video. 16mm film easily exceeds 720p. Don't confuse 50+ years of low quality video/TV broadcasts with other higher quality technology that had been around even longer.

    The word "inflammable" came from the Latin word inflammāre which means "to set fire to".
