Matter of fact, they're nocturnal, so when seen in daytime they're most likely rabid, or sleeping. as seen in this video, if they just wander around in daytime, completely comfortable infront of humans, i guarentee you its rabid. they're pests. i dont go wandering around in the dead of night scaling trees to kill, but dont troll when you have no idea wtf you're talking about

i hate possums they have torn my attic up i cant even go up there to work out anymore b/c they have taken over and now i have to have animal control come in and remove them and pay out the ass for it and i thought i got it but it was just another possum that i had already shot in the back yard these are not great animals go hump a tree

opossums are nocturnal and it may be confused as it is daylight but it was possibly frightened out of where it was sleeping. Also if an opossums continually walks in circles it usually means it has a head injury.

He looks like the common opossum you see in South USA, but his feet are black stockings!! I guess there is room for Opossum fur variations. Not all of the characteristics are set in stone. He's cute!!!

I've rehabbed opossums for over 21 years. When an opossum walks in circles they're usually blind. The dumb person making the comment about rabies should educate themselves. Opossum's body temp is much lower than other mammals,- you just don't see rabies in opossums. They also do NOT carry diseases like other mammals. Educate yourselves, you'll learn how wonderful these animals really are.
