  • marriage, don king, drugs, mental problems, sex, prison destroy tyson.holyfield fought 2 nasty fights- headbutting and pushing. He could never beat tyson in clean and fair fight. Same with lenox lewis- he kept pushing and dropping himslef on tyson shoulder/back. Lewis and holyfiled wouldn't even last thru the first round in tyson prime, say 1980's. Tyson was really washed up when he lost to these clowns. He would have kept the championship for 10 years had he stay with his Catskils team.

  • An injury is an injury, all boxers get injured in the ring.ntysons power came from his speed and when he lost it he was finished, just another short heavyweight at the end. Not the best boxer ever, but the most feared By a long way

  • tysons knee clearly went 30 seconds before the end of the 1st it was his own fault he was too heavy and shot to shit .

  • Tyson was well past it in this fight. If he hadn't been continually ripped off by don king he would never have needed to take this fight. Tyson in his prime beats williams in the first round. Respect to williams though i saw him knock another fighter out while he had a dislocated shoulder.

  • as a boxer ima say congrats danny williams but yo combos were shit!!... well at least it was good enough to do the job on an 'old' Tyson.. no offence

  • @aituhikian682 How can you be critical of Williams's combo's?they did what he intended them to do.Williams was always a world class puncher with solid chin,Williams had great heart and took a ridiculous amount of punishment every1 knows Tyson was past it but he couldn't stop Williams early and ended up gassing.Williams's plan worked if you were a boxer how can you be critical?you work on your advantages and Williams did perfectly you are typical Tyson fan full of denial

  • @MrConnolly25 Dude u wanna talk about being in denial?? well u cant deny the fact that Tyson hurt his right knee late in the first round and was hobbling for the rest of the fight 'gifting' Williams a HUGE advantage, and if Willams was the world-class puncher you claim him to be he'd have capitalised quickly and taken out Tyson a lot earlier so i firmly disagree he worked on his advantages "perfectly", and u say Williams had a solid chin??? 7 losses by KO sounds more like a glass jaw to me

  • @aituhikian682 Tyson wasn't hobbling lol he battered Williams until he ran out of gas sure he hurt his knee more to the point after throwing everything he had at Williams without knocking him out he gave up he had no hunger to carry on,almost every1 who watched this agreed Tyson just had no hunger left.Williams was involved in plenty of fights were he got hammered watch his fight with Vitali the man had heart. Also check his fight vs Potter the guys shoulder was out lol thats heart

  • @aituhikian682 I'd like to know your opinion on Tyson's jaw too as he had 5 stoppage defeats does this mean he too had a glass jaw or does Tyson avoid this slur as he was an all time great lol

  • @MrConnolly25 if u knew ur maths u'd know that 7 is bigger than 5 (never mind just the 2 numbers that separate em) so Tyson obviously had a stronger chin but my previous comments aint about Tyson, its about Williams not capitalizing properly on the advantage gifted to him by taking out an injured fighter that had absolutely zero fight left in him as quickly as he should have since u claim he "was always a world class puncher". Lewis and Holyfield wudv made short work of Tyson in that state

  • @aituhikian682 Nit picking now as 5 or 7 suggests a weakness lol Tyson was fine until the last round he was still throwing big shots so why would Williams take any risks? he timed it perfectly i fail to see how you don't realise this. And Lewis/Holyfield were both far superior to Williams neither of them had to take risks as they wee both better than Tyson as their victories against Tyson tell you also Tyson was the 1 who had to take risks against them not the other way round lol

  • Tyson just stopped caring...

  • Danny Williams did have a lot of heart.

  • must have felt good for williams to have mike tyson on his victory list, well done williams for taking such a beating and staying with it to wear tyson down and get the stoppage.

  • Comment removed

  • Danny Willams should have retired after this fight.

  • I don't like the quality of this video.

  • @PokerPlum truth is yea he got beat, on the other hand on hes rime with cus he was unstoppable, but yea end of the day he did lose.

  • @HigherPoker Ugh, you're the epitome of what's wrong with brits. Acting like it's a betrayal if you're not fucking blind and ridiculously biased for your home guy. Pathetic.

You know why americans don't have to play that shit and can enjoy any skilled boxer regardless where they're from? Because our country is gigantic. Guys from Florida don't feel kinship to guys from Utah. We don't care if a guy's american or panamanian or whatever the fuck. As long as he can fight. Williams fucking blows.

  • Proud to be British

  • what fight was that ref watching? There were no low blows by williams and yet the prick took 2 points?!

  • Tyson in Louisville Kentucky!!! Bad Ass!!!

  • Danny Williams, Fraudly and Haye are all wankers - Carl Froch on the other hand....

  • @dofbeer Froch on the other hand will be demolished in another 120-108 decision for Ward.

  • This is still such a great fight with so much action and one of my fave ever because of that. So many fights are boring and nothing really happens, these guys are just throwing so many bombs at each other, it's great!

  • Tyson admited he only agreed to have his last few fights to pay his bills he knew he didnt have it in him to beat williams, lewis, mcbride but he practically showed up just for a beating and for the money which was sad. I would have prefered him to retire rather than have taken this humiliation.

  • Szkoda mi Mike-a widać że robił to już tylko dla kasy a nie wkładał w to serca, wole go zapamiętać jako najlepszego boksera wszech czasów

  • Danny williams is a joke, and the fact he beat tyson should be forgotten. Tyson was unstoppable for about 2 years. In those 2 years, he would of beaten anyone. Lennox lewis beat a past it tyson... tyson in 88 would of destroyed lewis. Its just a shame that the biggest fights in boxing, often feature one former champ who is completely past it.

  • Tyson wasn't moving his head at all . . . And a Blind Man can see he had no heart or love for Boxing!

  • not fit enough to clean Ali `s boots! sat down like a pussy because he could knock danny out and then says his leg was hurt, bitch didnt even ask for a rematch

  • I don't know who the fuck Williams is but he sure as hell is tough going head up with Tyson.

  • @wuspopNmane

are you kidding mee. danny williams is one of the shitest boxers of all time, and he beat mike tyson.. yet everyone seems to think he was the best boxer ever..

for a character, and a cool icon mike tyson definintely is. but as for the greatest boxer of all time.. goes to the likes of ali, roberson, and paquiao

  • @quickmantan mike in the late 80's was and still is one of the best

  • truth is mike destroy a hell of a lot of mediocre fighters- no named bums, and because he ko them became known to a lot of poeple who know nothing about boxing as the greatest. this bum has never avenged a loss, gotten off the ground to win a fight or turned a fight around. his fans are so deluded that they think that if he losses its because cus is dead or don king LOL excuses excuses. you believe mike can beat anybody- fools! every fighter losses, they are judged on how they come back!

  • @chaka943 what are you talking about? he was the heavyweight champion of the world...several times. he was different when he was older, when he fought lewis. Didn't have the same passion for the sport as when he was younger..

  • @vistaway3008 WELL HE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IN THE RING THEN! GREAT FIGHTERS NEVER LOSE A PASSION FOR THE SPORT!

  • @vistaway3008 Technically he was a 2-time champ. He unified the belts in '88, then when he came out of retirement he beat Bruno for the WBA belt in '96.

  • danny williams aint shit he fought a old tyson & had to fight his hardest to just beat him everybody know if they would of fought in the late 80's & 90's man williams would get killed

  • No excuses, but Tyson did mess up his knee pretty badly. Might have been different if that didn't happen. Taking nothing away from Williams though. He's a tough SOB for taking that initial Tyson onslaught.

  • tayson is the best ever

  • Danny is a bum.

  • Tyson tore his lateral miniscus in this fight

  • its sad to see a boxing great fall the way tyson did... so much talent, but in the end so little heart..

  • @PokerPlum dont be silly guy. go watch the fight vs mcneely now and watch tysons punches compared to this. its a completely different fighter. yougner, faster, sharper.. and lets not even mention the 88 verison of tyson which was unbeatable

  • this ref is absolute crap!!!

  • @tunelowplayslow he is!!!

  • @PokerPlum What so Mike didn't tear a ligament in his knee? It's not an excuse it's simply just what happened.

  • Naw tyson lost cause of a destroyed right leg. he should have won. bs...

  • terrible sound quality

  • @TheAj641

    big ups for that

  • @PokerPlum

excuse? ehh, he was old, had no heart left. he was boxing for money. I mean look at him, he looks nothing like he used to. Danny williams fought a chump

  • @PokerPlum Ok you can here it from an Englishman instead. You say people need to get a clue about boxing or stop with the excuses? You've made yourself look a fool there because anyone with half a clue knows that Mike was 15 years past his best. Its just the same as saying Ali was the GOAT till he met Berbick! Mike beat an over the hill Holmes & what did he say after the fight? "it's a great name on my record but that was no former champ in there. Larry at his best i wouldn't of stood a chance".

  • Mike hit them with the best he had at 38 DW has got a hell of a chin...

  • It's always sad to see Mike lose. For one, he was my childhood hero! For two, he had more talent in his pinky than any opponent he ever faced had!! This fight wasn't quite as sad a loss as the McBride, Lewis & Douglas fights. It was a good slugfest similar to Hagler-Hearns. Furthermore, you could see the knee injury was a big part of why he lost his balance. As the immortal Mr. Miyagi always said, "Win or lose no matter. You make good fight!!"

  • every one just stop makin excuse tyson lost this fight.....but all u brits i wud shot myself in the head if i were u....come on this is danny williams here.....u bring lewis , william or mcbride back to the 80s man these bums wont even be capable of being tysons sparring partners

  • @fktheworld1 mcbride is irish mate,im irish too but man that mcbride is an embarrasment,he didnt beat tyson, tyson quit pure and simple,he had lost the hunger, mcbride lived off his so called defeat of tyson for ages,im laughing now while typing this at the though of mcbride fighting tyson from the 80s, 1st round knockout for tyson in the first 10 seconds with the first punch ;-)

  • @PokerPlum dam u brits will never leave tyson alone.....for god sakes tyson was just fighting for money...I REAPEAT TYSON JUST FOUGHT FOR MONEY...tyson was a old man I REPEAT TYSON WAS A OLD FUKIN MAN WHO DIDNT CARE IF HE WON OR LOST....

every great boxer goes down like they came up....just like ali and tyson both went down like soldiers lost there last fights....now cowards like lewis run with the title thats the defenition of a pussy

  • @fktheworld1 yep remember what vitali klitschko did to lewis?? lewis was miles behind but vitali was stopped with a cut which is fair enough (safety is more important) but if lewis was a real champ he would have jumped at the chance of a rematch but no he retired instead which is why i dont recognise lewis as a true champion and it angers me when i see him in lists of top 10 heavyweight champions ever

  • @harvest21021982 Maybe Klitschko should've recognized that if he keeps getting hit in the same spot, try covering up or moving your head. When you know you've been cut, protect it. Don't just let the guy keep ripping it apart like an idiot.

He lost because he sucks. Lennox FTW

  • @harvest21021982

Lewis was completely washd up then who cares no-one says anythnig about other washed up boxers being beat.

  • tysons fault for taking the fight then , the right hand that vitali took out williams with would ko anybody numpty

  • williams got lucky beating a shot past prime tyson and vitali kiltchko beat a bum that beat a old shot past his days mike tyson thats a fact

  • @PokerPlum what you mean by clinching every time he got connected? nigga please why dont YOU get a boxing clue anyone will tell you that Tyson had this in the bag if it wasant for his leg fuck Danny Williams that motherfucker was losing the fight throughout

  • this was inside boxing the whole time mike tysons specialty if he cared about the fight he would have won money is why he took the fight.

  • lol obviously tyson at the end of his career wasnt mentally prepared for boxing. tyson in his prime would destroy every heavy weight today including those awful klitschko brothers

  • Tyson had an aura. Douglas punctured it when the former was, what, 23? Then is was aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll downhill from there. Could have been a legend. Ended up a joke and a rapist.

  • Mike Tyson was finished as a an invincible force after the Buster Douglas fight. His type of fighter can only thrive if unbeaten.

  • Comment removed

  • i am sick an tired of all those people talkin bout tyson gettin beat he had lost his heart after years of abuse he only got in the ring because that's all he knows you all no that tyson in his prime or not even, would kill those fuckin waster's like willams an mc bride complete no hopers even lewis he is an always will be the best an most destructive heavyweight of all time any one else is a cheap copy

  • @dildol1981 Mike Tyson is a fagg and if this was any other boxer, say Lewis you would laughing your ass off man

  • When it comes to boxing Tyson was born to do it I think he is the greatest heavyweight to every live. He may have done a lot of stupid things in he's life but when he stepped inside them ropes he was a animal, he could destroy anyone in hes prime.I mean anyone judge him as a boxer.

  • Mike in this match having 36 years age, and all us know if Mike has been the most young champion of the world. that time is afarway, but i think also if in this match, 'Mike' fight very good, and should be won. Williams, used the 'way' if many boxers having used against Mike in him bad time. The scorrectly!. I think simply that IF ALL BOXERS, ACCEPT TO FIGHT FROM THE START AGAINST MIKE, HIM LOSTING!. THAT'S ALL.

  • Comment removed

  • mike lost because hes a bum and event in his prome couldnt actually box, he was strongpowerfull, agressive, never skilled...lewis would have destroyed him in any eraof his career

  • @PokerPlum.. I'm British mate and don't get me wrong, i think tyson was still in decent shape, but he had 0 fighting spirit. You could see it when Tyson had him hurt and Williams was just clinching, Tyson didn't try shake him off or punch.

I meen he had Williams hurt so bad, so often but didn't even bother going after him. The true Mike Tyson would jump around ever fighter he ever hurt in a fight. This CERTAINLY should've been over in the first few rounds.

No shit, just tell it as it is bro

  • @TheAj641 Tyson never had fighting spirit. He only beat fighters who were scared of him. Everytime he was challenged, he lost.

  • @0121zero Clearly you haven't seen the James Tillis fight or, Frank Bruno 1 fight, or the Razor Ruddock fights.

  • Comment removed

  • @PokerPlum you are right he deserve to win but lets be honest if mike was in his prime it would of been over in 1 round

  • I love this fight as it shows the underdog good overcoming the evil rapist, who can't enjoy that?

Oh yeah bitter deluded rapist apologising Americans!

  • @AngelicStorm1, Yh Ruddock was the best Heavyweight champ never to win a championship , i dont like when people say tyson just blew out tin cans to make his rep then when he fights a big name and might go 2 rounds instead of 1 they say he struggled, He beat some great men, Tucker, Spinks, Smith, Bruno, Ruddock, Holmes and Prospects like Biggs. I was looking at Alis record and ive noticed there arnt a massive amount of names ther either, Go on Boxrec youll see what i mean about his early fights

  • @HatmanTV Thanks :) I do totally agree about what made Tyson so attractive to the public. The problem with Tyson, as you say, is he was really a one trick pony. He did have immense power, but as a boxer, his skills were lacking. Once the fear factor was stripped away, and clever boxers knew how to counter his style, his limitations and weaknesses were exposed. On most days, Id take a prime Lewis to beat a prime Tyson. He could lose if he was caught flush early on by Tyson though! lol

  • @vytas35 Klitschkos early fights were no where near tyson KOs, half of them werent televised so you cant say. Klitschko even then adopted a out boxing style to keep safe people dont want to really see that, Tyson got in there chest to chest and threw visious hooks and uppercuts on the inside, i know what i would rather watch.

  • @PokerPlum fuck off mike tyson is the best boxer ever ! and he lost because it wasent the same mike tyson

  • Young Mike Tyson was a boxing prodigy and a great finisher. He came along in an era with ordinary fighters and he feasted on them. Buster Douglas beat Tyson in Tyson's prime. Period. After Douglas showed that Tyson could be beaten, Tyson was never the same. For all of the people who say that Tyson was "past his prime" when he was beaten by the guys he lost to later, realize that Larry Holmes was several years past his prime when Tyson beat him. The fact is, Tyson's "prime" was too short.

  • @PokerPlum If you think these losses to Tyson are genuine then you must think that Ali's later career losses to Spinks, Berbick and Holmes were genunine aswell?

  • @keatjosh

the only tyson losses i discount as not "genuine" are the loss to williams (where he actually did hurt his knee) & the loss to mcbride where he basically gave up coz his heart wasnt in the fight. both those guys where younger and hungrier than he was at the time

his loss to lewis was legit, tyson wasnt at his best, for sure, but he had no excuse- lewis was actually older than he was & had also suffered 2 ko losses just like tyson, so why couldnt tyson raise his game like lewis did?

  • Danny Williams Beat Mike Tyson because it was in 2004, Tyson lost all heart in Boxing and was doing this fight Purely for the Money. Simple as that, same goes to Kevin McBride. if anybody really thinks these 2 could have done this to tyson all in their Prime then they have no idea what they are talking about, Im not making excuses for him but if u know boxing you know in his day, Tyson would have Destroyed Danny Williams within a couple of Rounds Maximum, lets be real here

  • danny williams was fighting dirty

  • Comment removed

  • Great chin on both these guys. Tyson had his day and was undenyably(dunno how to spell) brilliant. But unfortunately time takes all man, we all rise and fall.

  • @byronkyron12345 I like Tyson eventhough he got KO'd He is a true champ..he fought anybody unlike fucking mayweather who he claimed to be the greatest boxer in the world..Fucking Mayweather is the only boxer that really shamed of

  • mike tyson did injur his knee in this fight & may have won if he hadnt injured it, but credit to williams he showed he had the bigger heart

  • Tyson is a rapist who would not last 10 mins in mma, boxing is shit.

  • @gangsofnewyork69 Fuckoff retard boxing has been around for 1000's of years and YOU think your a big man and you think you know it all , well you fucking dont.

  • @Nathan2345678 I didn't say i knew it all dickhead,i'm just stating facts, boxers have nothing on MMA and Tyson is a rapist.

  • @gangsofnewyork69 That because there two different arts, a mma fighter wouldnt last round in boxing, so there you go, and hes not a rapist, your just a fucking sheep if you got the brains to know what that means.

  • @gangsofnewyork69 Get the fuck on w/ that MMA bullshit.. Niggas robbin they cocks on each other on the ground.. Huggin like 80% of the fight.. Hardly any punches or kicks be thrown.. That shit is homo, Go watch that faggot shit while we watch our boxing, Ca'peech?

  • @gangsofnewyork69 think of this, boxing is a single sport.... so is karate and wrestling and tai kwondo. MMA is just all sports put together. so your saying that every combat sport in the world is better than boxing. thats like saying all boxers in the world would beat randy couture if they ganged up on him....

  • Tyson was always a little over rated. He made his rep beating average fighters like Carl Williams, Marvis Frazier and Tyrell Biggs, old guys like Larry Holmes and blown up Light Heavies like Spinks.

  • @PAWLIE68

very true, but the tyson "myth" that he was the greatest ever lives on. u cant be called a great fighter, unless u beat another great fighter on top of his game, but when it comes to tyson so many people ignore that fact. tyson didnt beat holyfield lewis or bowe so he cant even be called the greatest figher of his generation never mind greatest of all time. ali beat 2 powerful dominant & feared champions in liston & foreman, tyson beat berbick & bruno. it hardly compares

  • @HatmanTV I think you're forgetting about Tyson's wins over Tucker and Spinks who at the time were both Undeafeted World Champions, Tucker's later career was rubbish yes but he was very talented at that time. Also when you think about it you could say that the Holyfield's and Lewis's didnt beat anyone in their prime either, so why would Tyson need to beat them because it was the Spink's of the world who were the real champ beaters, who Tyson destoryed.

  • @keatjosh

holyfield beat riddick bowe & tyson,& avenged his losses to bowe & moorer!-even more impressive considering he was older & far more battleworn than those guys.lewis beat holyfield (twice if u discount the 1st fight as a draw) & easily ko'd razor ruddock in 2 rds,who gave tyson so much trouble. lewis avenged his losses to mccall & rahman, beat tua- did tyson ever fight or beat anyone that tough & hard punching? beat briggs (did tyson ever beat anyone that fast & explosive?)....

  • ....lewis also beat klitschko (did tyson ever beat any undefeated fighter that big & powerful?) he also beat undefeated michael grant, another huge guy, zelko mavorovich, another undefeated fighter, andrew golota (who at the time came off 2 dq losses where he was winning against riddick bowe, but was otherwise undefeated & impressing many in the boxing world)

if u look at lewis and holyfields resumes, they have both beaten bigger, better, tougher more aggressive fighters than tyson ever beat

  • @HatmanTV 100% agreed on everything you said! Both Holyfield and Lewis beat a higher class of opponents than Tyson ever did. And both scored many of their wins when they were aging, and past their primes. "But Tyson was past his prime!" is an excuse used a lot by Tyson fans, even though both Lewis and Holyfield were past their primes when they beat Tyson, and both were older than him as well. Tony Tucker who was hardly a great, made Tyson look very ordinary when they fought.

  • @keatjosh

prior to the tyson fight spinks only had 4 fights at heavyweight-1 against some bum,1 against gerry cooney,& the 2 hotly disputed decision victories over an aging larry holmes. he was a great LH, but he was never a great, or even a very good HW- lets be honest. he was small (210lbs), lacked power & speed & relied on his akwardness & unorthadox fighting style to confuse & frustrate opponents.

tuckers best win on his entire resume was tko over buster douglas in a fight he was losing!

  • @HatmanTV Also, Bonecrusher Smith was able to live with him without being destroyed, and Frank Bruno gave Tyson a scare by staggering him with a left hook in their first fight. Almost every time Tyson was in with a decent calibre fighter, he struggled. Now, Im not saying he was a bad boxer, far from it. He had phenomenal punching power, and for sure was exciting to watch in his heyday, but he is without a doubt overrated. And all the excuses used by Tyson die-hards dont stand up under scrutiny.

  • @AngelicStorm1

exactly! another excuse is "he wasnt the same without rooney".well actually he CHOSE to fire cayton, join king & fire rooney,so IF he wasnt the same it was 100% his own fault! & if rooney was such a great trainer where are all his other elite fighters? why didnt tyson try to get back with him later in his career? tyson once referred to rooney as a "glorified cheerleader" & are we expected to believe tyson forgot everything he had learned over night the minute he fired rooney?

  • @HatmanTV Again, agreed! For me, there's 2 things that prevent Tyson being an all time great in my eyes. 1- lack of heart, and 2 - no strength of character. Did he come in under-prepared for Buster Douglas? Possibly, but even if that is so, it was all his own fault! Even in his so-called "prime" Tucker and Bruno proved he was only human, and Douglas just took that a step further. Tyson always struggled against clever fighters who did not fear him. And Buster Douglas didnt fear him that day.

  • @HatmanTV actually it took two years from firing rooney before he lost to douglas, also ive read other comments about the legendary trainers tyson has had but with less success to other fighters, however tyson wasnt a man when he met these guys like D' amato and Rooney, he grew into a man with these men and when he fired Rooney it must have done something mentally, not having these people around. you have to understand that Tyson wasnt your usual guy, he did all the great stuff early on.

  • @AngelicStorm1

fighters change trainers ALL THE TIME,look how many trainers holyfield had! Should we blame all holyfields losses on his trainers? & if u look at the list of guys tyson worked with after rooney, most of them had FAR better resumes & where FAR more proven as world class trainers than rooney ever was! guys like richie giachetti, tommy brooks, freddie roach, buddy mcgirt, ronny shields etc-are we expected to believe none of these guys could get tyson in shape & teach him anything at all?

  • @HatmanTV Another excuse used is the lay-off he had because of prison. Ali was out of action for 4 years, but was able to rule the heavyweight division again, Beating Foreman and Frazier, among others. Sugar Ray Leonard came back after an even larger lay-off, and gave an inspired performance against Hagler with no warm up fights. They had what Tyson didnt: Strength of character, and heart. And that is why I wouldnt put him up there with Ali, Ray Robinson, Leonard, and other legendary boxers.

  • @AngelicStorm1 when it comes 2 tyson im always reminded of a line in the movie gladiator where the guy says "i wasnt the best because i killed quickly,i was the best because the crowd loved me" tyson had a crowd pleasing style,& fascinating persona, which gained him an army of followers & created the tyson "myth" of greatness.almost no top fighter, trainer or expert puts tyson in thier top 5 greatest HWs,but ask the average guy in the street & he'll tell u tyson was the best who ever lived!

  • @AngelicStorm1 Ruddock wouldnt have won the first fight, i think youve just looked at the clip on youtube of the 7th round stoppage, i think that tyson looked better in the first than in the second, the combinations and body shots were brutal.

  • @keatjosh No, Ive seen the whole fight! lol Im not saying he'd have definitely won, but he was working his way into the fight, and his shots were clearly starting to affect Tyson as the fight wore on. It is debateable as to whether he would have won, of course. I do feel the fight was stopped too early, and we'll never know what would have happened if it had been allowed to continue. I do agree though, that Tyson looked better in the first fight. The 2nd was a brutal trial for both men. xD

  • @HatmanTV Whenever faced with adversity, which is the time when all great fighters stood up to be counted, Tyson was left wanting. Holyfield and Lewis both took knocks in their careers, but they came through it, and bounced back. And thats partly what makes them pound for pound, better boxers than Tyson imo. To me, the only fights where Tyson showed a bit of heart, was against Razor Ruddock. Who I think very possibly could have won the first fight if it hadn't been stopped.

  • @AngelicStorm1 & he was unable to adapt his style over time-once people figured him out it was all over for him at top level.holyfield, lewis, ali etc where able 2 adapt thier style to beat different opponents,& compensate for the speed & energy they would lose in thier 30's.in fairness it wasnt tysons fault he couldnt adapt,at 5'10 he would never have been able to stay on the backfoot & keep opponents off with his jab lol.in the end i guess his physical limitations eventually caught up with him

  • @AngelicStorm1

its good to see there are still some people out there who actually know thier boxing

  • Comment removed

  • @HatmanTV I can see what you mean however, in my eyes a lot of the ones you said werent that good anyway cmon David Tua, Marokovic, Golota, you go on boxrec and look at lewis's record and you cant really see anyone who was at there best, Ruddock just had two barnburners with Tyson and he later admitted he wasnt the same after the fight. and a 1999 holyfield wasnt great anyway a year later he fought Ruiz and we all know how that trilogy went

  • @HatmanTV Actually go on boxrec and search tony tucker, look at the douglas fight, hes ahead 86-85 on two scorecards and Douglas takes 86-85 on the third

  • @HatmanTV I think that we all need to look at the facts here... all of us on here wont always agree with one topic like this, However while were on here bashing some of the greatest name we have (we dont exactly argue about the shit fighters do we Cliff couser would have done this in his prime e.t.c...) we are letting other sports take over, think about it, were basically unknowingly fueling the fire of MMA. I think we need too unite as boxing fans and respect the fighters bygone and to come.

  • @trailstar1 against holyfield they're first fight

  • 8:23 - I would LOVE to be in Tyson's head at that very moment. Wonder what he's thinking. Maybe something like this...

"This lowly scum with his primitive skills. What has my life come to if I'm knocked to the canvas by this bum. I quit. My knee hurts. Hey, where I can get some blow in this shithole...?"

  • @ph1484 You're a good mind reader!!

  • manny pacquiao vs gayweather...

  • did tyson ever get up from a knockdown in his whole career?

  • @trailstar1 LOL technically yes, twice, but those weren't real knockdowns. The ones where he stayed down he could've gotten up but quit, unfortunately. Tyson had an GRANITE chin but he was very weak mentally.

  • @ph1484

he did have a granit chin, quite amazing actually. the only time he was really seriously hurt & out of it, was in the douglas fight, & that was only after he had taken 10 rounds of brutal punishment. he had a very underrated chin, but as u say he was mentally weak, his chin could take the punches but his heart could not

  • Great fight from the both fighters welldone good job

  • it upsets me to see tyson like this, and its funny cuz danny williams and his corner men think they actually achived something in this fight; beattyson that was completely out of form. danny williams isnt that much of a good fighter anyway. these two boxers in their prime mike tyson 1st round ko easy

  • Great shot of tyson getting knocked down and helplessly siting on his ass next to the ropes dazed.

  • @donottake

    Karma for raping people

  • they took 2 points off williams for nothing, gave tyson 1-2 minutes rest while they looked at his eye, everytime williams clinched the ref was straight in to split them up. People were chanting for tyson and he still got ko'd, face it he was a shot fighter.

  • and i took another loss until he realized hes too old

  • I didnt know Danny williams used to be pretty good, i only saw him fight when he was old.

  • ugly quality

  • Still love Tyson. If I had to adopt a close range fighters style it would be a combination of Tyson/Hagler full stop.

  • lewis is fucked up he son of bitch fought with tyson when tyson was old if lewis fought with tysson in his prime time tyson would certainly fuck him and get him out of ring.....watch th fight fof lewis and hasim rehman ..........hasim crushed lewis in one punch.....

  • @ayaz517

Lewis beat everyone he fought, he lost twice by being stupid, but he came back to beat them. Lewis is 2 years older than Tyson, so you can't say Tyson had age against him. Tyson lost cause Lewis is a much smarter fighter and even when he was coming up the ranks, he was frustrated by fighters like Lewis and only won on points. Tyson would never have beaten Lewis, he only won on fear, as soon as people stopped fearing him, then Tyson couldn't win, like Douglas.

  • @slannmage but you can never put prime mike tyson down.. he will always be one of the best, no contest to that..

  • @slannmage No it was actually when he stopped training and didn't take it seriously enough. Lewis won mostly because Tyson was badly out of shape and Lewis put his weight on him exhausting him. Emmanuel Stewart was furious because he knew Lewis's chin was glass and didn't want to give Mike the opportunity to knock Lewis out. Something Mike did even when shot just because he had the punching power. Lewis is a taller outside fighter and they don't age as badly, like Foreman, Holmes and others.

  • @slannmage Lewis did beat everyone, but Tyson also beat them years earlier Bruno, Ruddock, Tucker, Biggs, were all beaten by Tyson aswell when they were even better than when they fought lewis, you say about lewis being older than Tyson, however just because two guys are 20 dosent mean they both will be in there primes, think about it when Tyson was 20 he was the greatest of that era, 35 however and he was shot, 35 Lewis was much better than 20 lewis, its not always straight forward.

  • @ayaz517 Everyone forgets that Lewis fought Tyson TWICE, not once. They fought 4 rounds at Cus D'Amato's gym in 1984 as amateurs. Tyson won the first round, and Lewis kicked his ass for the following 3 rounds, which is why D'Amato then later Kevin Rooney, always kept Tyson away from Lewis as they always knew after their first fight that Lewis would dominate with his jab. Look up your history before you start mouthing off son!!!

  • @actornwriter I understand however there is no real prove of this, yes they fought and Tyson did win the first but i think youre exagerating sligtly about lewis kicking tyson ass. show me the video of this then ill belive you. I think the more logical view is this, Tyson came out fast and took the first, Lewis managed to stay away and the fight just settled into the usual amature pace of jab(wait.. wait.. wait..) Jab, Move (wait.. wait.. wait..) Jab and so on.

  • tyson lost to 3 brits. lewis, williams and mcbride.

  • @ALshow1989 no mcbride was irish pal

  • @glossop08 Irsh is british. Your thinking of england!

  • @ALshow1989 no the republic of ireland is not part of Britain. Its England ,Wales,Scotland and nothern Ireland. Calling an Irish man British is a big insult mate.

  • @glossop08 I see, so ireland and N ireland are two different countries?

  • @ALshow1989 Wat,yes. You never heard if the trouble in n.ireland. With the British occupation, and the I.R.A?

  • @glossop08 I heard about the conflict but wasn't really sure about the results. Kinda stupid to separate the countires, makes things so much more confusing.

  • Sad.

  • I wouldn't expect most Americans to know it but Williams was British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion for quite a long time so the dudes no amateur, he was 30 lbs heavier then Tyson and from the look of him it was all muscle and he recognised this as the fight of his life and fought that way - i think its just a classic case of underestimation Tysons people probably thought he was a 2 rounder at best. Im sure even Danny Williams doesn't think he is a better fighter then Tyson though.

  • Tyson apologists are hilarious. "Prime Tyson would have done this and that". Well unfortunately for you, he was to busy frittering away millions on his clearly fragile ego and raping young women to fight opponents in a brief window that suited him. How can you pity and care for such a horrible excuse for a human being - a PROVEN Rapist, Mugger, Ear biter and all round scum bag?

An even more pertinent question would be can you reply to this using basic spelling and by withholding abuse?

  • @Wimpleman because he has shown some goddamn good boxing in his prime years

  • @Wimpleman Youtube aint a fucking exam so who gives a fuck how people reply to you.. Who the fuck do you think you are, the high almighty.. When you do your next spelling exam give me a buzz....lol..... And by the way Tyson has the right to change his life around and he is... Good for him.... What have you ever done???? Have you ever got to the top... NO why?? Coz your a JACKASS who has done JACKSHIT

  • @PMcM1007 Congratulations on the typing in English, bit of a fail there for the insults but 1 out of 2 isn't bad for a Tyson apologist. It's true, I haven't achieved the same as Tyson, I've not raped or mugged anyone, not bitten any ears and not humiliated myself against significantly less talented people to a large audience.

I'll give him credit where it's due - as far as I know he's managed to not break a law recently, though he did manage to let his daughter die through neglect.

  • @Wimpleman Get a grip...Hey i give anybody a second chance in life... anybody even a person like you... I aint a Tyson apologist, im pointing out that he achieved to win the HW title at 20 and got to the top... And your point on him letting his daughter die througj neglect is way below the belt, excuse the pun.... But low even for a person like you....

  • @Wimpleman...Ohh your a Brit...... That says it all.... Nuff said.... Dont forget when the next spelling exam is on give us a buzz......The youtube spelling exam presented by "wimpleman"

  • @PMcM1007 A Brit, like Lewis & Williams who knocked Tyson the fuck out. Thanks for the 2nd chance, means a lot from an internet stranger. I guess telling the truth is below the belt, "my bad" as the Yanks would say.

Tyson was the youngest ever heavyweight champion & dominant for a couple of years, 2 achievements that I am more than willing to accept. Are Tyson fans prepared to accept that he became a washed up bum, got so desperate that he went back to breaking the law & ruining his legacy?

  • @Wimpleman yeah your right there...Lewis did beat the shit out of Tyson and Williams too...Lewis was a super fighter i was a huge fan of his and still am.. I just dont get your gripe you seem very emotional over Mike Tyson.. Maybe you should talk about it...Who is your "DR PHIL" in the uk.... Ohh by the way when Lewis got beat by Mc Call and Rachman he was Canadian again,,, funny how you brits work.. you dis own your own when they tumble..." my bad"..lol

  • @PMcM1007 Lewis was always a Brit to us win, lose or draw. To be honest, you couldn't be more wrong about us Brits, if anything we support loveable losers more, for instance Frank Bruno was far more revered than Lewis ever was (though not to me).

  • @PMcM1007 Unusual to find someone who likes Lewis AND Tyson, especially an American. My problem with Tyson is the almost god like status some people reserve for a nasty rapist piece of shit. Evander Holyfield is an infinitely more likeable fighter who has achieved amazing things and in my opinion more than Tyson, yet where is the Holyfield love?

I have no idea who Dr Phil is.

  • @Wimpleman Im a boxing fan........ yeah i rate Lewis as a great fighter and of course Holyfield too... But your way over the top on Mike Tyson.. thats ok, your point of view is just as important as anybodys here..! But's thats it in a nut shell, its only your point of view! If you have a problem with fans treating Mike as a God like staus, well thats for you to figure out.. You have a right hard on for Mike, buts thats ok...lol

  • @Wimpleman all the things you mentioned about rape and mugging dont mean anything, i could be the best fighter in the world and go to jail for killing someone, but that doesnt mean im a bad boxer, if anyone can prove that its Mohammad Ali, according to the law what he did was wrong just like other crimes like robbery and so on, but many people call him the Greatest of all Time.

  • @keatjosh Although I disagree with you I have put a positive reply to your post as you manage come across as a knowledgeable and sane Tyson fan which is rare to be honest! As a fighter, as much as I hate the guy he was a phenomenon and a one off. He'd make top ten heavyweights of all time just, but he only beat a couple great fighters, never avenged a defeat and had no plan B.

Comparisons to Muhammed Ali are completely wrong though, there is a difference between rape & conscientious objection
