i work out of a terminal that was made for 48 and 45ft trailers but we now have 53 ft and i have 387 pete, its always a challenge to back in a spot, love my job tho
any how at least he did the right thing and waiting to have the driver pull forward, i have had many times driving myself where i have been in a problem like that although he should have backed up instead of a pull through in such a small spot. kudos for the people that helped him and to the start of the video is right listen to other or learn the hard way

Did it at Iowa 80 and paid the price, or should I say that the buffet got murdered...if you've ever been to Ontario, California, there's 2 TA's there that you have to pay $20 to park at, or spend that much, or get 50 gallons of fuel, those are pretty big, 500+ spots apiece.

I don't bother with stopping their anymore either.

Had a Prime back into my sleeper at the Loves south of Dallas a couple months ago.

When I was with my Trainer at FFE, he would ask me to go over to the Truck next door and ask him to pull forward as necessary. I would have used a little bit of mathematics to see whether this way of parking was doable. It almost seemed possible, I know I've seen this about to happen but It never did for me. You just have to watch all of Your mirrors whenever You are parking. Too bad for the driver who caused It for just not being more observant. It's always the last few feet of the Trailer

@mrfire3776 Alot of them are the schools, I personally went to FSCC for my Truck driver training, its a top of the line school with good ratings, 6 Week classes. of which its 5 weeks backing and driving split by morning and evening, My friend went to CSRT School and he had 1 week of school, Had his CDL and was on the road with a trainer, They never even taught him how to back.... Fuck after 5 weeks I can do any back manuver all day long :P
I used to drive a Semi, Anytime I had someone trying this I would release my brakes an pull up so the driver can get in the spot. I was hit 2 times while sleeping from idiots like this.

whats the big deal this shit happens 10,000 times a day, you know if its dinner time every body and their brother has pulled in for the evening buffet, i had to quit back in 97 after over 25 years of driving because it finally made me sick and i could no longer drive anymore, i had two major heart attacks didnt really know it cause you constantly hurt from driving, got in a week later and docors clipped my wings. miss somthings but not all the bullshit of which there is never a shortage!

To begin with I came on here to check out some of the 90 degree backing I see some of you more exp. Drivers doing...and then this pops up! Im a recents trainee with CRST and yes I'm still learning...ill be honest with y'all, I went to school, as well as, my OTR 28 days of training, AND I still get nervous at times...thank god I haven't cause any damage...Ill try to stay pretty safe, and damn a ego, for I might ask YOU, one day to move up a bit...all I ask is for y'all to give me a Lil more ti

Saw a tanker driver trying to pull in reverse in mass. truck stop, after 20 tries and still not being able to get it he had the balls to refuse our help to help him park, I guess some people hold their egos for too long.

@mrfire3776 Alot of them are the schools, I personally went to FSCC for my Truck driver training, its a top of the line school with good ratings, 6 Week classes. of which its 5 weeks backing and driving split by morning and evening, My friend went to CSRT School and he had 1 week of school, Had his CDL and was on the road with a trainer, They never even taught him how to back.... Fuck after 5 weeks I can do any back manuver all day long :P

I used to drive a Semi, Anytime I had someone trying this I would release my brakes an pull up so the driver can get in the spot. I was hit 2 times while sleeping from idiots like this.

Listen at the we r the world--critics. maybe if this guy driving the truck had half a brain, he would realize that he didn't have enough room to make this park move in the first place. So the man with the video camera, should jump out his truck and not show us real proof that some don't get it. I once put a fire out on a guys rear wheels while in traffic on a mt. He had the nerve to get mad, he didn't realize his tires where burning, everyone else did though. we got jerks too, on the road.
