I have a question for u.. Have you ever thought to taking some of your photoshop tutorials & show how they can be achieved in Gimp? I know Photoshop is waaaayy more powerful but I was curious because I actually use both.. It would be cool to see other methods on how to use Gimp.. Plus it may assist the folks who can afford Photoshop!
WHY NOT BLUE TO BROWN? DAMN FASCISTS! WHAT'S YOUR NEXT TUTORIAL? HOW TO SIMULATE A GAS CHAMBER?... OR HOW TO REDUCE FAT IN A PERSON UNTIL YOU GET A SKINNED-BONED LOOK WITH AN AUSCHWITZ EFFECT? LMFAO! (J/K)
Usually, I love your videos, but this one left me wanting more. The eye is still glassy, the color wasn't as layered as in real blue eyes. Is there anyway you can give tips on correcting that?
Your videos are the best!!! I am a graphic designer myself but when I was in school everyone kinda worked with their own style. I love how you have implemented the layer masks into your workflow making it easier to alter things even after your image is finalized and you still have your original intact as well. I messed up countless times on designs and had to start over from scratch but now with YOUR influence of working with layer masks, mistakes are a thing of the past :) Thank you so much!
Is checking colorize checkbox really that important? When I'm changing the colors of specific things in my photo, I often see that the original color never has just one hue value (if that's making any sense).
@Hex72 i did i used the pen tool around her eye then right clicked chose "make selection" then i added the exposer adjustment layer and then tried to change the gamma but it messed up. i dont know if this makes a difference but the difference i saw between this vid and my project was that next to the exposer symbol my little box with the mask shape is white instead of black.
@ThEfLyGuY27 the mask needs to be black (in order to do that you need to select your mask and pres ctrl + delete) the only part of the mask that needs to be white is the part where the iris should be
great video. could you add an annotation or a link in the description box to prerequisite tutorials we should understand first before we go on with the next one. that would be awesome! thank you
@MrDarkstar199 THis is photoshop CS5.... that is hardly free. It is extremely expensive. It can reach (with everything included and fully updated) more than 700 dollars Canadian.
@podpeskom If he made it look perfect this video would be MUCH longer. Play with the settings, and maybe mask over the pupil so it doesn't get colourised along with the iris.
wow! you have a very great tutorial i used your first tutorial on changing the color of the eyes and now i think i will used your new method thanks and more power
@demonicmidgets as you can tell from my cellphone grammar lmao.... But just to be clear I wasn't trying to like undermine you or be like oh jeez Thats easy dummy, I just thought about that way when I read your comment and figured id share
@BrieSuz18 Alright well at least I know your not an asshole lol, well thanks for kinda giving me an idea about what I could do. I will have to learn how to do the program first and then get a picture to try it on.
@demonicmidgets lol yea. The only way to learn is to dive in =) lol. I literally dove n head first. Just practice tutorials and you'll slowly start being able to figure stuff out on ur own. Goodluck. You can add me/pm on here and we can be noobs together!! Lmao. I'd do it but im on the mobile app and Thats kinda impossible =(
Wow I've been doing this the whole time =) I've been learning PS from u and my own just creativity lol so THANKS. Im just excited I was doing somr the right way by accident =)=)=)
@demonicmidgets you know I have an idea on how to do that... Just off the too of my head with my basic knowledge... Maybe selecting the iris, creating a new layer via copy, drag the image u want onto the other image and then create a clipping mask (under the layer menu and making sure the new image is above the new iris layer) and then playing with adjustments. Like opacity and erase the area on pupil and stuff to keep some eye features. Idk. Thats just my idea =) im gonna try that...
@demonicmidgets oh no! I wasn't trying to be like that =( im sure your very smart. And I've only had PS about a month im just a fast learner and figure alot out on my own and have an awesome boss who's a PhotoShop genius. . . Plus iceflow!! =) I just thought about clipping masks because i saw a tut. On it about a week ago and was kinda fascinated so i figured that might work. =) It was just an idea to try...
@sadeyesace Yes. You just have to make a selection around the second eye. Then, in the layer mask, just paint white in the selected area. Do that for both adjustment layers. That's it! Hope this helped.
@sadeyesace Yes. Because the adjustment layers use Layer Masks, when you make the new selection, simply fill the selection with white on all the adjustment layers.
@MrHawkingson >< but the point is in most photos, the coloration for my eyes are legit black... so... this is kinda hard for me to make my eyes lighter without looking like a freak :( u can go on my channel and see how dark my eyes are lol

demonicmidgets 8 months ago
@demonicmidgets you know I have an idea on how to do that... Just off the too of my head with my basic knowledge... Maybe selecting the iris, creating a new layer via copy, drag the image u want onto the other image and then create a clipping mask (under the layer menu and making sure the new image is above the new iris layer) and then playing with adjustments. Like opacity and erase the area on pupil and stuff to keep some eye features. Idk. Thats just my idea =) im gonna try that...

Is there a way to copy all of the adjustments you did and apply it to the selection of the second eye automatically?
sadeyesace 8 months ago 18
@sadeyesace Yes. You just have to make a selection around the second eye. Then, in the layer mask, just paint white in the selected area. Do that for both adjustment layers. That's it! Hope this helped.
MAjYQSammi 8 months ago
@sadeyesace Yes. Because the adjustment layers use Layer Masks, when you make the new selection, simply fill the selection with white on all the adjustment layers.
