By no means their best album, but still excellent. They were always better in "session". Courtesy of the BBC, and especially the late John Peel.
If you don't mind me making a suggestion, their first album was "Garlands". Rather more "raw", but way back in 1982 it put the hairs right back on my neck.
Of course this was my experience; I overplayed it, and although I still think the album is a classic, it sadly doesn't have that effect any more. But if you haven't heard it, well...
@roddy76to86 I appreicate the advice. I will tell you that the next album I plan to buy by them is Treasure since I already have heard some of the songs (I was so glad that "Beatrix" was on the "Sessions" album) and now I'm determined to purchase that album proper.
This is a really fine alternate version of the song . One of the great bands to come out of the UK . Im slowly getting into Robin Guthrie s solo work , and it looks and sounds really good .......
This is one of the few instances where i can say that the live "sessions" version is better than the studio/ album version. It just sounds more haunting, more etherial, more dreamy, and more "cocteau twins" than the original version. Personally this one is #3 in my cocteau twins top 5!!!
This particular version of the song introduced and ultimately made me like this group. Picked up Heaven or Las Vegas right after this one.

Yes, the album "Milk And Kisses" is hopelessly over-produced and is bloody awful !
