Am I the only one who WANTS to play Absolution? I mean come ON. IT's just a different company and some different mechanics to the game. It happens with most game series.

god i love this, main menu comes into the center of screen, out of its opaque white hues an intense choir comes in, sharply singing a latin requiem hammering a couple bars an intense brass an orchestra come in...to this day...Awe where did the composer come up with the brilliant idea of scoring the game with this? brilliant.
I remember staying on the main menu and having this on full blast! Such a fucking shame that Jesper Kyd is not doing Absolution's soundtrack(Absolution is looking more and more like shit! just like Kane & Lynch 2) . IO seems hell bent with running themselves in to the ground. As I said, such a fucking shame.

i remember myself playing this game as i was a child. the menu, music, levels... it was... wow. so stylish, cool, extremely difficult for me. i was in love with hitman, he is the most epic and cool assassin of all time.
In fact he isnt dead. In the ending of requiem in blood money you got the opportunity to revive him so that you´ll see the final scene before the credits! ;)

@IceFried its for a reason (mainly for silenced pistols and all concealable weapons), for example, you shoot at a guard with a silenced 9mm, and you miss, they put that slow shot there so they see that you shot at them, then they shoot at you. it is a stealth reason also. hold sneak so they cant hear you at all, then shoot them.
all in all, i would say is is pretty useful since they wont hear a thing with a headshot. just gotta be a good shot is all.
Hitman is officially dead. I would not play Hitman: Absolution even if it was free because Jasper Kyd is not doing the soundtrack and David Bateson is no longer the voice of 47.

@ignatei Agent 47 was never dead and I have no fucking idea where you got it from. If you are referring to the cool ending of "Blood Money" .... than .... you actually never played the game properly. In Blood Money, agent 47 was poisened but afterwards saved with an antidope by Diana.

David Bateson (original voice and model of 47) is dumped in favor of some jabroni high profile Hollywood actor, possibly just to have a cheesy, half-assed tie-in with a film which will be forgotten within 2 weeks of debut. In my case it will mean that Hitman: Absolution will be the first Hitman game I don't buy. Not going to support this kind of behavior. And even if they did treat Bateson well, I wouldn't care. He's gone. History. As well as Kyd.

To be honest in my opinion; Jesper Kyd is a game soundtrack god who never disappoint franchises just like this. We are all eager to hear his upcoming soundtrack list for Assassin's Creed: Revelations in 15 November 2011.
For me, this is the best game of the series. For some reason i didn't like contracts that much. Even the minor things, like having no briefing before each mission kinda ruined it for me. It's still a good solid game, i would give it a 8/10, but silent assassin was 10/10.

Plus, Contracts has an amazing dark and sad atmosphere that suits the Hitman premise perfectly.
