This song relies on vocal and other blurring effects too much, imo. The bass line is compelling and the vocals probably would sound good if they could be heard. The keyboard bits are somewhat harsh and random or experimental. 

Overall, this band would be better if they were less sloppy and careless sounding. A nice first effort, this should have remained a demo in the archives for the future to unlock or keep hidden depending upon if this band ever reached a significant stardom.

Oh come on. This band are a bunch of posing pricks. If they had anything more to them than their hairdos they would have made it clear on the first album.

The Joy Division, Echo and the Bunnymen, Neu! and in particular the My Bloody Valentine referrences are all accurate. They even mimmicked the Isn't Anything cover.

I like Carrots, Mango, Chicken and Ice Cream but I wouldn't simply put them on my plate and expect to get a nice meal out of it.

I saw The Horrors live and ridiculously lucky for me, I was right in front, inches away from Joshua. He was very talented and he has the sweetest smile I have ever seen. He kept making eye contact with me and then would cock his head to the side back and forth. All I could do was get the biggest smile on my face I have ever had in my life. Just looking at him makes me so happy.

the track is an intentional take on 'love will tear us apart'. it's an ode to them. they have said they have unashamedly made their influences known on the album...so they will sound very much like psych furs and my bloody valentine. i really think dismissing this because it's as you say 'copying' is a shame because i think your missing out on a great album...i couldn't stand their last one.
