For the record, pentozali is supposed to be synchronized. The dance comes from the dance Pirichios performed by the Kourites while protecting Zeus from his father Chronis. This dance was a very synchronized dance that followed a specific beat. So please eat it.

you people sound so uneducated.. this video was not posted for controversy. So please do not bash the performers. The first female dancer is wearing the female stoli (uniform) from anogia.

Tzavelena... the 1st girl is wearing a TRADITIONAL ANOGIANI stoli. Performance was choreographed because there were a total of 8 different CRETAN dance groups performing and to be different, they all had choreographed routines. Why are you ashamed? it's CRETAN DANCING.

Rex... it's called the Pentozali which is a war dance danced by the men in Crete back, during the war. THIS IS HOW IT IS DANCED. Not supposed to be anything 'Balkan' looking. If you think this looks like american/hillbillyish dancing, then I suggest you look and research more into CRETAN dancing.
