at 18, i turned from christianity i became deeply depressed and withdrawn.. i suffered from delusions of grandeur, thinking that i could attain "the truth". first through religion and then through philosophy, the more i read the more i was discouraged.... Now im 19, and i walk with a skip knowing that noone can really know what the true meaning of life is without direct "divine" intervention, and that the only certainty we can truly have, is the certainty that life is just too uncertain.

I do not associate myself with any man-made religious organization. I have read the bible (which I find great wisdom in) and yes, I do believe that Jesus is Who He said He is… therefore I live my life to follow His examples.

@SUOIREX It must be hard to follow Jesus. Even if Christ is perfect, the bible is not. Jesus himself is showen to contradict many of his fathers teachings by being more altruistic. Imperfect people wrote the bible, even the nativity story was fabricated. A mass migration due to the census and the supposed killing of all male babies would be big historical events, but are not recorded outside the bible. Birth records show Jesus was born in Nazereth, not Bethlehem.

May his Name be forgotten. which is a derogatory name his enemies gave him. So when someone says Jesus, he actually curses his "Savior". And you were right the first time, he was born in Nazzareth and not Bethlehem (It was said that he was born there because Bethlehem is supposedly the birthplace of the Messiah in Judaism)

Also, Jesus was a common name then as it is now. Also. his name would not had been listed as Jesus Christ. Christ was a title.

There are actually 500 million true atheists in the world, a fair amount of my family are included in that and while I don't blindly believe in a god I do not entirely reject the idea, as "god" could easily have been a very advanced alien race, not dissimilar to us (which would explain the made in his image stuff) that accidentally kick started our evolution and then watched over us believing that as they had started our race they were duty-bound to protect us from off world threats.

Look at John 20:27 and the verses surrounding it, the disciple Thomas didn't believe until he put his finger into Christ's side where the spear had pierced. Thomas used CRITICAL THINKING to come to faith in Christ.
