  • the only good thing about this video was the commercial at the end

  • rofl!! that commercial in the end made me lmao! :D:D

  • COOL

  • I saw one on Albert road, Southsea, south Uk. Would this be your doing? It's wierd because I just stumbled across this

  • It's art. Whether you like it or not. It may be stupid to you, but if something as simple as this brings people happiness, why not let them be happy? It's yarn. You people are blowing this way out of proportion.

  • If the name of the organization offends you as a black person and you can't take a racist joke...maybe the internet isn't for you. Try something more your speed...like knitting.

  • Not only is it defacing public property...its UNSANITARY !!!...That kid was putting their face against it !! EUUUUUUUUU !!! iMAGINE HOW MANY DOGS PISSED ON THAT POLE ??? Its a nice collector for shit.piss dirt ,bed bugs, and germs !!! My god how stupid people with alot of time on their hands can be !! Find something better to do like knitt clothing for the homeless or elderly in the nursing home .....

  • GET A LIFE?!

  • Knitta Please? Nice racist undertones, whether intentional or not

  • GET BACK IN THE KITCHEN!!!!

  • New York is turning very queer.

  • @KingTroIl Good.

  • this aint graffiti hippie hater

  • Thanks a lot new york. You fucked up the entire nation. now we gotta deal with all this gay pride yarn graffitti bullshit

  • knitta plz.. har har. white lady.

  • hehe 69 X3 ....... shut up! not everyone's as mature as you!

  • All this organization, drive, man power and an amazing show of human cooperation..... to do something so retarded.

Imagine if they all pulled together to do something useful or something that helped someone in some way.

  • One word, INDIE

  • for someone as not gangster or black i think its just weird how the founder named her organization knitta please

  • THE FOUNDER ISNT EVEN BLACK!?

  • @hotboi745 why does it matter...?

  • I think its neat, what a cool way to make the world look a little brighter! Why not donate scissors to homeless people and they can snip off a parking meter cozy of their choice. Shopping for the poor. Or for a real solution, have knitting programs for the homeless that donate needles and yarn so they can make their own clothing and maybe sell some and possibly get off the street.

  • 1) I am not trolling, I am a photographer myself and I appreciate good art. 2) This is not good art. 3) I agree that they should be knitting for the homeless. 4) Knitta Please? Come on, WTF? 5) In case you wanted to know, I HAVE been almost been homless myself, know 2 other people that were, and I have donated to numerous charities. 6) Don't accuse people of things when you don't know the least bit about them.

  • aka old bitch graff

  • Who else at 0:07 thought the guy said "Niggah Fleas"?

  • this is so fucking stupid

  • Wonderful Beautiful project!!! Yay!! Too bad some don't understand and post negative comments. Please keep up the good work. Each person has to make choices for themselves. Poles are objects that don't make choices ~ Let's beautify them and uplift those who appreciate beauty!!

  • AWESOME

  • Ok, too all those fucking commenters that say "YOU NEED TO BE HELPING THE HOMELSS" When did you help the homless? When did you donate to charities? Before you post fucking shit ass comments, thinks about it, or in your comments saying "Your a fucking dumbass and should invest in the homless!" I think your talking about yourself. Or stop trolling on this video and HELP THEM!

  • @darkstar11star i donate to charities whenever i have extra stuff, this should be helping those in need our country is in a reccession ass.

  • Microban and waterproof these knits. Then we are good to go.

  • She kind of reminds me of Nancy from Weeds. Only difference is that I hate her.

  • She thinks she's so professional and famous for knitting those things.. no one cares!

  • I've got a pole you can slide one of them over.

  • them: LET'S PUT YARN ON THINGS!

me: Or give blankets to homeless people mad from the yarn.

them: Do you want me to cut you?

  • Those are going to store a bunch of bacteria and disease. KILL IT WITH FIRE.

  • First of all that shit looks ugly af, if i see that shit anywhere ill burn that shit. waste of fucking money, and a waste of fucking time. how bout u bitches start making blankets for the people out there who don't have anything...

  • @xRsGuid3sx It's not your time, and it's not your money. Fool.

  • @chaoscleaner Shit im glad i dont waste my time and money on that shyt, i got better shit to do. and Fool my ass, go knitt you fucking pussy.

  • @xRsGuid3sx Yes, I'm sure you do have better "shit" to do, Fool. LOL

  • @chaoscleaner Atleast i got something to do, Hop off my dick. Fool.

  • I support them, it is alot better than using paint.

  • 69

  • imagine after a dog or drunk pees on it-oy

  • can everyone chill? honestly. why troll on these people when you could be out finding the people who go on private property and use spray paint instead of yarn? for the people who say they have too much time and money, at least they aren't busy bullying people for what they do. and i still don't hear anyone talking about how you waste money on things like spray paint?

i don't think this is all that great either, but i doubt they deserve all this.

  • women do this because they need something to be proud of, not just making me delicious sandwiches...

  • LMAO they think their all cool now! Hahahah!

  • The rich world is full of retards with too much time and money. Fuck this shit

  • This is considered art but real graffiti pieces and burners aren't by some. Wow. B.S.

  • wow, there are a lot of negative comments on this page. I think the whole knitt graffiti

thing is really cool and new and fun !! It's nice to look at, and it's just nice to see people getting excited about expressing themselves through art. So chill out everyone and have some fun with art.

  • @jenenjisgarden you know what would also be fun to see? homeless people with clothing made with that same yarn...

  • @jenenjisgarden Threadbanger was on the top of trends, too. I'm so sad to see this channel doesn't even update anymore. (Look at the date of the video, two years ago! :D)

  • @jenenjisgarden shut up tree hugger

  • i stole ike 4 of them

  • knit the fuck outta those meters!

  • LOLS KNITTA PLEASE

  • the government owns those so your breaking the law, cute idea thou lol clothe the HOMELESS, THE NEEDY, turn your hobby to help others

  • hand them out to the homeless? lol, this looks like its just a harmless hobby. next thing you know you'll ask coin collectors to throw their collections in a coin jar to the bum down the street, so he can buy some crack. lighten up.

  • In my opinion this is stupid. I think that its just a waste of time and materials when there are people who could really use them both.

  • @DnEdBr are you joking? the life is all about wasting time and materials but that's for everyone to decide how they want to waste their time and resources

  • 69 meters...

  • 1:42 faggot alert

  • nitta please...sounds more like a play on words of NIGGA PLEASE!!!!!!!!

  • @mlg4everman I think that was the point. xD

  • @mlg4everman um that's the point... lol

  • Lays made sure the race issue was resolved in that commercial.

  • I am not gonna lie that commercial at the end got me pretty fucking pissed off. I am going to go look for somebody to harm physically to so i can express these emotions

  • wow they aren't even afraid of getting tazed by some cops or shot to death and decapitated by street tuffs

  • @XclaimUrself Because this is fixed with a $3 par of scissors while actual "graffiti" costs hundreds sometimes thousands of dollars to fix.

  • get some lighter fluid and burn them all. its just plan out stop

  • @dudelivestrong stupid

  • Next time someone pops shit, I'm gonna say,"Knitta please."

  • why am i watching this

  • If I was walking down the street, and saw one of those, I would probably already be picking my nose, and just wipe the booger on it as I go.

  • hardcore knitting

  • wtf is this? man this is some mad pussy shit it looks like crap too

  • hah i get it. Instead of Nigger please, its nitta please... ooo thats a good one

  • 1:21

    That's what she said.

  • i dnt think so since they really mean knitter...not nigger..

  • is "knitta please" a play on "nigga please"??

  • @miamiwax It is.

  • i just now heard of this...can anyone tell me what the point is???

  • IT LOOKS UGLY ! I would hate to see those on the street YUCK!

  • The challenge with comparing Art to Charity is that art always loses. I recently heard Yancey Strickler (co-founder of kickstarter) be asked y they don't raise for charity. He eloquently said, "if funds were asked for an art project next to one for starving children, the artists all of a sudden looks like assholes." Let's recognize the separate platforms & appreciate the great value in both. Agreed, selfless charity is the highest form of expression but it's not art. I love & need both

  • I highly doubt that any of you who are complaining have any idea about the homeless issue or even try to help. This isn't about charity - it's a piece of street art. if you saw a metal sculpture in the middle of your city you wouldn't criticize it, saying that "the money used to create this should have went to the homeless!" This is the same thing. Just because it's knitting/crochet does NOT mean that it's sole purpose is to be turned into clothing.

  • @lionessraawr I just don't think yarn would do well in bad weather. I know art isn't suppose to last forever but once it rains it would be a soggy hot mess.

  • The title is terrible...

  • Magda, you're a genius. The Mexican bus is the bomb!

  • Hi,

My name is Billy Paul. We’re making a film about the Yarn Bombing phenomenon, otherwise known as Knit Graffiti. We are interested in borrowing, or if need be, renting your pre-made knitting artifacts for our film. Please let us know if you’re interested in participating by either loaning us knitting artifacts and/or agreeing to be interviewed. We will be shooting in various neighborhoods in Brooklyn in late April – beginning of May.

  • I finally started a project like this in Nuremberg, Germany and it is LOTS of fun.... =) we put them up at night, though...because the german people are always a little bit negative about new things, but they are also lazy, they don't cut them down once they're on. =)

Oh and to all the haters:Do YOU knit for homeless people? My opinion is, that the grey business men in our cities need some colour, too. If you can make one human smile, it's worth it. Help for the homeless is great, too of course!

  • Knitta Please is great. I love the bus. The potato chip ad at the end of this video is unfortunate, however.

  • aww thats cute they think theyre vandals,,hilarious..

  • I want them to make can warmers for the winter

  • so are we gonna get a forum on how to make these? what if i want to vandalize my towns parking meters?

  • @theonlysarahballoon its not hard. just knit an approriatly sized rectangle and attatch it to the pole.

  • She's taking credit for starting the knit bombing fad?

    What?

  • is 1:45 a girl or boy?

  • I think its a dude. Still questionable though.

  • @scenexXxcorpse i think it's a girl

  • somebody had to have been really really bored one day...

  • I would love to see the streets and buildings like that all colorful and what not :]

  • doggies gonna pee on dem

  • i love this idea i saw something like this near me in Wales in the UK a few months ago i would like to see this catch on i think the world would look much better with wool covering the streets i also love the bus i think its a great idea

  • I slightly agree, they look cool - slightly, but it's going to be get really dirty in NEW YORK really quickly.

  • yeah...think about it...lets put all kinds of colorful JUNK on trees and everywhere!i bet that will look like art too.too bad the artists are not found there later to pick up the scrap.....

If you want color - there's PAINT

  • They've been up 2 years in my neighborhood and look just fine.

  • that's cool :)

  • I think this is a wonderful and creative idea! The fun is to put knitwork in places you don't expect them to be seen. And that stimulates creativity!

Well done and keep going on!

  • Wow! Sweaters for stop signs and parking meters! Whoda thunk it?

  • Haha, True. Wet yarn isn't always pleasant on a person. But really, are you doing to be down sniffing the poles? xD

    At least they're pretty. =D

  • how does that help the environment or people?

they should hand them out to homeless people who need those things not the freakin poles and meters!! for cryin out loud!

  • I agree, people are so bored they're climbing up the walls, or in this case knitting for stop signs. go do some charity or read a book!!!

  • @mexicangal72

when was the last time you checked out the priority needs list for the homeless shelters?

  • @mexicangal72

Homeless have more important needs, check out the local shelters!

    /

  • it's their money, let them do what they want. Now, i your tax money was being spent on this, then you have something to complain about. So i guess you just have to deal with it.

  • @mexicangal72 Hypocrite when did you donate to charity last time? The homeless can get clothes from charity's that are based on donating clothes to homeless ppl. If you knew that you wouldn't have posted that comment = you don't donate clothes to homeless ppl. I think its cool and a change from the boring metal, also you can cut it off so there are no problems. When ppl see the art it makes them happy/creative = good for environment. You are so negative how about taking a positive approach?

  • @2lasiiJAkuppi ikr if he had that much of a problem with it he would get off his lazy butt and take them down himself!

  • @mexicangal72 you know thats not the point of it its for fun people can do what they want free country! they can spend there money and time however they like its not ur money or ur time so stop complaining about it and really if you hate it so much why did you click on the vid anyway?!?!?!?

  • @mexicangal7: It makes be happy. Which DOES help attitudes.

And what the hell are you doing for the homeless? Easier to bitch, then do something, eh?

  • @mexicangal72 I think they mean the environment in the sense of visual environment, like a city or country side

  • @mexicangal72 really? so some homeless drug adict can try to pawn off some yarn and get high? lol

  • @mexicangal72 Why don't YOU do something about that instead of bashing this video. You're not helping the homeless either. -_-

  • @mexicangal72 so, with that logic, instead of using pumpkins for decoration during Halloween time, i should give them to homeless people so they could use them for food?

  • Comment removed

  • they should save that stuff for their own homes. cmon , has good intentions but the idea is not brilliant. someone stop these people! that should be illegal!

  • lol is this legal?

  • but if it rains it will eventually smell bad...idk..just thought of wet soggy yarn..not to pleasing

  • @aoiroxme Well, if you want to go and smell on it, okay,.... but normally you won't, will you?

And it dries really quickly, at least that's what it's in rainy Germany like.

  • @aoiroxme actually it doesn't. it does get dirty from the traffic, but remains rather pleasant in our neighborhood walk :)

  • Maybe in a city where's always sunny nad clean...

  • that is so funny! Id love to drive down the street and see that ...lol

  • I think thats really neat, but I just thought of dogs peeing on them or something. Lol, eww.

  • ha! i thought of that too, and rain would make them nasty and smelly lol.

  • i just find it unpractical...what happens when it rains and they get all stinky and gross...who gets rid of them? i mean it's all pretty or a little while, but nothing very longlasting. i prefer just regular graffiti art.

and is the person at 1:42 a guy or girl?? i can't tell lol

  • i agree!! and i think that's a girl lol, with high testosterone levels. :P

  • i think its a guy..? gosh, we're horrible people. questioning the gender of a person warming up parking meters! (;

  • thank you!!! what a stupid idea!

not very sanitary, the streets are dirty enough and with t his stuff out there, omg! what the hell are these people thinking!! LOL!!! what total morons!!

  • gosh, get over it,

There are worse things out in the world then a womans play on words.

its clever, ur mad you didnt think of it.

  • im guessing a brother tried to holla at her and she threw a N****** PLEASE!!!!! AT HIM and sumhow got inspired to knit there on lmao!!!!

  • i think its a hilarious and witty name and has nothing to do with racism.

    seriously people?

political correctness has taken over the modern world and is turning people into a bunch of whiners.

  • How is it racist? I'm black and even I have the sense to know it's just clever and funny. Now chill your asses down.

  • KNITTA PLEASE WELL THEN

  • You guys gotta chill out. I thought the title was hilarious

  • thanks! Yeah, I thought that the Lincoln looks cold w/o a hat.^_^

  • actually i seriously doubt that. somebody probably told her that one time and it stuck. she didn't mean to personally attack you. besides, would you rather it be "craka please"? because either way it goes it's racist. im not saying it's not racist. im just saying that she didn't mean it as a personal attack on you.

  • that title is dumb as hell period.

  • that title is dumb period.

  • Oy. It always astounds me that people are so quick to jump on the OMG!THATSSOWRONG bandwagon with stuff like this. It's a name. So what if it's a play on nigga/knitter?? Get over it. Move on. It's a NAME, that's all.

  • I would have joined!

  • woah! chill! it's not meant as a racial slur. it's just meant to be catchy! she probably didn't mean to offend anybody. try not to take offense.

  • dang, have a sense of humor and calm down, no one is forcing you to watch

  • hahaha... great episode and title : )

  • Umm.. It's a play on the word 'KNIT' and 'KNITTER'. If you try and make it into something more, that's your twisted mind doing that to you...

  • You shouldnt speak on the matter you arent even from the US and you dont know how the sensative the situtation is to people of color.

  • Wow, you do assume a lot.

  • So before people decide to shoot the messenger, take a breath. If you're curious or offended by the name, in the spirit of conversation why not ask the folks at Knitta Please why they chose that name? A lot of assumptions are being made here, but no one has mentioned that they wrote to the group to ask them about it. C'mon, do you really thing TB & Knitta Please has some kind of evil plot to infiltrate the web with racism via DIY?

  • wait i'm so confused. if people have used graffiti in the past to reclaim space from businesses and the government, does it count as subversive "graffiti" if they are hired to do it by the business association?

  • Words are only WORDS it's the people who find it offensive.....GEt the fuck over it and just look at what the people are doing. They are taking the grey cold of the city and making it warmer a more pleasant place for the generation after us.

  • ok...since we don't all agree that racial slurs are so passe...why not think critically about knitta please's actual mission. i am all for bedazzling and beautifying the world, but i think it's not an accident that gentrifying white people can whimsically modify public space when youth of color would be arrested for doing something similar.

  • If you are referring to graffiti, it takes a lot of time and money to get rid of it. If you want to get rid of these 'cozies', all you have to do is get the scissors out.

  • get over it people! i'm a proud african american woman and i think that the word play is amusing. in fact, i can't believe that i never came up with it. that's gonna be my new catchphrase at knitting club!

  • Whoa! I love this idea because instead of ugly graffiti your making the world a more beautiful place. Thanks I really enjoyed this. In fact, I'm going out to knit around my LA parking meter RIGHT NOW!

  • I wish I was putting a sock on a parking meter, then maybe that hotness at 1:57 would make a comment to me. :d

  • i can't believe threadbangers did this. i thought you guys were pretty cool till now. that hurt.

  • Her play off a racial slur is offensive to me as a Black person. This generation of young white, often liberal people that find humor in being ironically racist because "they don't mean any harm by it" make me sick.

It is harmful to Black people as several of us have said. This is the form that racism comes in these days and it's always followed with "oh can't you take a joke?"

No I can't take your racist jokes.

  • Eh, I don't think the name is a big deal, I think its funny! Obviously they weren't going for being disrespectful, but chill out, they're not targeting anyone and are just having fun. If the name is really bothering you thats YOUR problem, not theirs, only you can make things racist. *shurgg*
