At about :20 into this video he contradicts himself. He says "the particle has a probability of going through one or the other, I mean both." Let's get Aristotle in here.
If it goes through both, then the "probability distribution" is nothing more than the wave interference. Wave interference is absolute, not probabilistic. The problem of particle/wave duality remains unsolved.
Your premise: "If a particle goes through both.." is an oxymoron...a logical contridiction...a PARTICLE cannot go through both. However, a posistion probability distribution spanning both slits ("peobability wave") can go through both.
@twcjr44 That's what you said. You said "it goes through both." The premise that an interference pattern is a "probability distribution" is just an assumption AND a contradiction. It has to be either/or - an interference pattern OR a "probability distribution". That's why they're doing the experiment in the first place - is it a particle or a wave? Also, how exactly are we aiming this gun at the slits? Is trajectory not a factor? Why?
The Copenhagen interpretation doesn't give you any eigenstate of collapse with equal probability! The collapse happens with a probability that is proportional to the wavefunction's projection on any given eigenstate. That's Max Born's principle and it explains exactly why you see statistical order and causal tendencies in large ensembles of particles.
Not sure if this Thomas Campbell fellow knows his basic physics. Sorry.
You are correct -- I didn't say that very well. Making the words up as you go in a live presentation and eliminating techno-speak on the fly sometimes leads to technical errors and a garbled sentence or two. Hopefully, such errors of technical detail make little difference to the bigger picture concepts being presented.
Thanks for putting the record straight and clearing up that error.
This guy is very relevant. The problem with science today is that they're so dogmatically opposed to any "spiritual' or religious world view that they ignore the facts staring them in the face, consciousness is not material nor objective.
The important piece of information here is that there are other "demensions" available to us through our consciousness that are just as real as the universe we currently comprehend. Which indicates some form of life, conscious life, after the death of this physical body.
science is heading for its true evolution very soon we should be in a heavy concentrated magnatism force field, FREE ENERGY we got it but them damn crackers wanna fuckin keep everybody slaves they gonna get caught with their pants down, very soon 2020 will bring in new space beings, star traveling is the future ,death is gonna be like a common cold a cure exist ,so get ready and stop supporting the democrates, become republic and get skilled in all things teach ur kids at home
@mrblackaliens what if death is the cure, man, an escape from this vessel that traps us in the objective subdivision of reality *takes another hit from pipe*
The reason why its on the fringe, is because they have a paradigm, they only notice what is dancing in front of their faces. No subtleties that could threaten their view of reality, they aren't wrong that is why they fail consistently in regards to progress. They have faith, they are in reality just a polarized version of religious fundamentalism. Science will soon be recognized as a joke. They cringe.
I like what this guy is saying. He's painting a huge picture of how reality works. Definitely not random and definitely not just by chance. Wow that would be steep odds.
I feel like I'm in a simulation. Like sometimes when I think too deep its like my mind wipes out and reboots, like a glitch or something. I see a bright light in my mind and jump like I was startled and sometimes I can't remember what I was trying to think about like a damaged file or something.
this guy touches on something very important; if you aproach the TOE problem from a purely emperical/scientific perspective- say you get some unifying theory- what then? It still doesn't tell you the nature of existance, what it means to exist, those kinds of metaphsycial questions. When I first saw this video I thought how can you include all that stuff- but I suppose you would have to to make the TOE theory complete
wtf? ima show u this chart. you cant see it, i cant see it. but im gonna show it to you anyway, because i want to show you it.

What about the Uncertainty Principle? Why are only the "spiritual" aspects of physics taken into account?
