  • The top comments are completely irrelevant to the video...

  • eddie is kinda dressed like spiderman here.

  • @smudgey6120 how do you know?

  • Well, im a brazilian blue belt and i already learned this pass.

So, the secret is use one hand and your head to get balance and use the other hand to push the oponent leg.

In the case, Eddie uses his left hand to kill the oponent right leg.

Pause at 0:03 and you will see...

You must pay attetion to that, if not, you will get sweeped.

  • @NuryDoe most people learn this pass as a white belt..he's just showing a darce choke option

  • If you come up flying that way to sidecontrol he can easily throw an elbow and get out or am i missing something..??

  • @minasz What the fuck are you talking about?

  • @fidjibajs1 Who the fuck R you, Im asking a question sucker!

  • @minasz Yeah and that question is retarded and makes no sense

  • @fidjibajs1 It makes very much sense if you see what im seeing

  • @minasz ofc it does, it also makes no sense at all if you see what im seeing

  • @fidjibajs1 well then for you its a complete video. for me..i have doubts

  • Sooo the way I see it is if you can't knock them out and they don't give you their neck guerrilla jiu-jitsu law says you have to lay and wait for a decision. Even if you don't like Eddie's personality or whatever you have to respect the fact that he's constantly working to win, even in fucked up positions he makes things up in hope that it works so he can win. He would rather pull half guard and look for a sub then lay on top and wait for a decision.

  • Camarillo fighters Jon Fitch: 28 fights 4 sub wins 15 decisions Josh Koscheck: 20 fights 5 sub wins 9 decisions Mike Swick: 18 fights 3 sub wins 6 decisions Cain Valasquez: 9 fights 0 sub wins 1 decision. That's a 16% sub win percentage and 41.33% desicion percentage. Also other than a koscheck neck crank every single one of those 4 fighters submission wins are guillotines or rear neckeds, no armbars, no kimuras, no kneebars, nada.

  • It still confuses me how much shit Eddie gets for his nogi stuff while people like Dave Camarillo teaches "guerrilla jiu-jitsu" and nobody gives him trouble for his "disgrace to TRUE jits teachers like the Gracies"

  • eddie bravo is a baaad motherfucker

  • thats sick

  • Penn uses rubberguard. And so does Aoki. They dont use it all the time. But they do use RubberGuard.

  • what eddie is doing is developing a true no-gi system. no disrespect to the gracie family or anyone else that is a part of traditional bjj and no disrespect to anyone in the 10th planet system but they are two styles of reaching the same goal. there are lots of things in 10th planet that are useless when you are wearing a gi. there are parts of gracie jj that are useless without a gi. why cant we all just be happy with both? learn both so that you can adapt to either situation.

  • OK, you people really are pathetic....all of you really. Those trying to defend Eddie and bash him. Who cares how good anything is, it's better to just learn a new move just so you have something new to your arsenal. Who gives a fuck who created what system, how about you just worry about learning a new move so now you have something new to use if the situation ever should present itself. Don't discredit anything, as it's best to have more techniques to use against an opponent.

  • HAHA i do butterfly guard passes allllllll the time. didnt know that had a name. i just say "lawl" in a high pitched voice when i do it so i call it the lolsweep

  • Sorry guys, I just think someone should tell you. I'm not trying to be a dick but I just see that you guys are so passionate and trying so hard. I can tell you guys want to be great at Jiu jitsu and in that way our love for it unites us. But you MUST know 10th planet is the laughing stock of the BJJ world. You're the Scientology amongst the mono theistic religions. Making fun of you is what unites Gracie barra, Nova Unioa, and Alliance, and all other respected jiujitsu academies. I'm sorry

  • @mayville1717 ok, take a look at the vid. that guy teaching the technique. submitted royler gracie. So if the gracie's are supposed to be so good, I think i'd want to learn from this guy.

  • @RezzedOut2010 Wow... that's it? that's all you got? One submission determines your credibility for the rest of your life. Eddie's good, I can't disrespect a legitimate Machado black belt. Leo smashed him the next match, wouldn't you want to learn from him? All I was trying to do is let 10th planet guys in on the thought process of the other 99% of the Jiu jitsu community.

  • @mayville1717 bro dont waste your time trying to get to these guys..people dont understand that he made his career after one match with Royler...and Eddie didnt even use his 10th planet system..Eddie beat one guy by luck i might ad and then gets destroyed by Leo and others..how many champions has Royler produced? how many guys has Royler gave nightmares too..now look at Eddie doesnt compare at all..maybe Eddie should spend more time refining his basics rather than making new moves....

  • @mayville1717

What's wrong with discovering new techniques? Especially one's that work exceptionally better in MMA

  • @mayville1717

If it's so bad how come top tier fighters like BJ Penn, Shinya Aoki, and George Sotiropoulos use the system?

  • @cbproducktions I don't know where you get your information from but Shinya and BJ do not use the 10th planet nonsense.

  • @702decatur yes they do.... purchase the rubber guard dvd and you see eddie teaching aoki, as well as eddie smoking a blunt with bj

  • It seems if your opponent flicked up with his hooks you would fall straight over him and he would take north/south.

  • smoooooooooooth

  • I dont pretend to know alot about jits or MMA ive done many for about 8 months and what I find weird is the gi. jits was created so small guys could defend themselves against big guys right? so why would they include clothing that no one would ever wear ina real life situation is it just traditional for competitions or something? i suppose its they same for alot of martial arts.

  • eddie is the man.. i wish he taught gi techniques too i would LOVE to see what he would do for the gi game

  • In my humble opinion, Eddie Bravo has advanced Jiu-Jitsu in the modern era just as much, if not more, than the Gracies did in the early to mid 1900's. Eddie is incredible.

  • @TGUNZ562 come on stop trolling.

  • @graciehunter100 How am I trolling by stating my honest opinion? The advancements Bravo has made far succeed those of the Gracies, especially on Helio's side.

  • @TGUNZ562 When 10thPlanet gets used in ADCC we can have a conversation. No one used it in 2005, 2007, or 2009.

  • @TGUNZ562 Also, what advancements? Eddie didn't invent the rubberguard, the twister, or the lockdown half-guard, and those are the 3 main staples of what makes his system different than regular submission grappling. But not even, because most BJJ schools will teach you lockdown halfguard. Most will teach some rubberguard. And mos will teach the twister, at least as a sub but probly not a system.

  • @TGUNZ562 Ok well maybe I'm being alittle off-assed technical, however I think the gracies took the traditional technique and made it applicable to situations for their time. eddie, for his time. i think he is just perhaps evolving and evolution if you see what i mean. Ultimately I see what you mean, but its really all about perspective. Back then the Gracies evolved the sport. Now bravo is simply doing the same, or at least trying to. I respect both.

  • too advanced for me lol

  • I couldn't do that guard pass to save my life, wow...

  • If you hate Jiu Jitsu so much why are you wasting your time searching for it on the internet? interesting.............

  • stupid ...you have trouble stabbing your fuckin steak at dinner ..shut up

  • nakid? also, great punctuation.

  • Could you tell us what martial art WOULD keep you from getting stabbed against multiple attackers with knives? I'd love to hear it.

Another thing. You come at me one one on one and I'll snap each and every one of your limbs before I choke you unconscious with my rubber guard. You come at me with your "homies" and your knives and I'll just shoot you. Cool?

  • Your age says 29, tool.

  • lol

  • Sayoc Kali is a Filipino martial art that specializes in knife fighting. I'm not at all agreeing with nor do I condone drunknbaztard's dumb ass comments. I figured being a fellow martial artist you might be interested.

  • i'll check that out. i know there are effective techniques from various martial arts that deal with knife defense. in situations where you have "multiple" attackers, though, i'd say just bail. trying to pull some jean claude van dame shit would probably get you killed.

not to say, either, that there aren't martial arts masters somewhere on the planet that would just handle the situation like a pro.

  • it's called krav maga and it's israeli special forces martial arts they train like ufc but with guns and knives disarming and disabling

  • Krav is no joke. I've seen seminars with IDF (Israeli Defense Force) instructors doing their thing and it is amazing. Their concepts of simultaneous attack and defense are unparalleled.

  • @PacificFlows Yup... That's why so many pro fighters train Krav maga....

  • @unregisturd maybe i should reiterate that i meant "unparalleled", in a street defense situation. in a ring with a ref and judges, it goes without saying that you should probably be doing some sport specific training.

  • Nice pass

  • Been working on this recently. The guard pass is my favourite!

  • eddie is amazing

  • lol yah sure I can do that...

  • Eddie is the Man
