man, ive NEVER heard a more thick album than the black album. Hetfield's voice was so brutally heavy, Kirk and Hetfield's guitar sounds were so fat and heavy, Newstead's bass sound was so deep and full, and finally, Ulrich's drum sounds was SO FUCKING THICK! the drums on that album are so fucking sick. that whole album is just BRUTAL! \,,/ METALLICA \,,/

I think some people hate the black album because they thought it was the album that made metallica go comercial and stop writing metal music, although I don't really care the only album I hate is Death Magnetic!
