Kolors film at MMIF was one of my favorites, and the most striking of the festival. Clouds and Remembrances is reminiscent of that and another film at MMIF, the one with the falling woman. It is an arresting and dramatic minute, beautiful and frightening. The drama of the falling people amidst the stark angular cubes suggests an existential statement that lacks the liberating realization that to lose meaning in life means to gain control. The film is more Sartre then Camus, I think.
