When Bruce did this in concert at the ACC here in Toronto years ago I was in the 6th row from the stage. He stared directly at me and never once turned away or looked away from me. It was very uncomfortable but I felt he was trying to tell me something. It was the single most moment I will always forever remember from a concert experience. I read years later that if he feels he is connecting with someone he will give them constant eye contact. I think he was connecting with me that night.

I cant thank you enough for this beautiful tribute. Ive watched it too many times.

I only wish it included my favourite intertitle the Priest in the church saying ... keep and protect her from all harm, it was a pivotal point in the movie and the line that brought him to tears, for I guess when you realise you really love someone, you would never let anything hurt them.

I think that was the moral of the story... that love and protection go hand in hand.
