  • I get the math and all but wow you teach way better than my teacher! Great videos for reviewing keep up the good work!!! :)

  • Thank you i AM a Big Fan Keep up The Good Work

  • Wow for math teachers like you made complicated things so simple to understand. The thing that drop me out of high school was the radius thing that little r and was a little bit confuse about the minus thingy that converted into plus when theres a ( in it. The numbers when there y and x along.

  • At 3:43, why did you cross out 8 and replace it with a 2? I don't get it, someone please explain it to me!

Or someone tell me at what part of the video it explains that.

    Please reply!

    Zac

  • @Zacattackzak I don't get that either :\ maybe its because 2 x 4 = 8? Anyways, why did he change the 4 to a 1??? OMGGGG SOMEONE HELP MEEE!

  • @PeanutButter4214

    Hi,

How to work it out, you have to watch the ''multiplying fractions'', in that video it explains how to do that.

  • @PeanutButter4214 you are right, he replace 8 with 2 because 2x4=8. actually he did that to reduce big numbers of 8 and 4 to 2 and 1, respectively). to do that 8 and 4 should be divided by 4. 8/4=2 and 4/4=1.

  • @Zacattackzak he cross out 8 and replace it to 2 because 4x2=8 so he cancelled the 8 and replaced it to 2 and 4 replaced it to 1

  • best 8 minutes of my math life ever spent :) !

  • thanks so much. you do so much better than my teacher and my book shows horrible ways of adding and subtracting and multiplying fractions.

  • yo this helped me out smart my math tech 1 teacher

  • Quick question...on your last problem, you did the inverse of -4/9 as -9/4. Why does the numerator stay a negative instead of it being written 9/-4?

  • if i may answer... the whole fraction is actually negative, not just the numerator. we just write the - sign up high so that its easily seen and not confused with the line separating the fraction or a minus symbol. example -1/2 + -3/4 or -1/2 - -3/4. you see how confusing that this could be. i hope this helps.

    good luck!

  • yea very good video

  • KHAAAAAAAN!!!!

  • thanks alot man helped alot!!

  • Thank you so much I had such a hard time with math

  • Again great job, thanks

  • Very helpful! I needed to review my fractions. :D

  • I will get my GED because of you. Your such a great teacher. Thank you and GODBless you and your family.

  • Hey may I know what GED is..? pleaseTT

  • A GED is like a high school diploma but not as equal. It's a diploma that they give in independent studies.

  • when can you get them? do you ask for it? do you have to be smart for that?

  • You could get it if your 18 and older. Well you could get one in a continuation school. Mm and it's not hard its easy but study for it anyway.

  • ur better than my math class

  • Dude.. This was amazing, I can't believe I never got this in highschool! It must have been how the teachers ezplained it because, as I watched your video, Everything made SO much sense! Thanks man, thanks.

  • Good evening Khan,

Thanks for your videos, I think you have an error in this video. 1/2 / -1/3 you inversed it but I think you didn't use the negative sign. I could be mistaken. Do you keep the sign on the numerator or does it transfer?

  • He puts the sign on the numerator (so do I) but really the entire fraction is negative. 6:37 is what you're talking about I suppose.

  • It's been a looooong time since I've had to do this kind of math. I have a test tomorrow and you have explained this wonderfully!!!!

    Thank you!

  • I just may graduate cuz of you! thanks!

  • if my teacher could have explained things like you

I wouldn't have had to drop out.

You are a unparalleled tool in my arsenal to get my GED!! Thank you so Much!!!

  • @hunteroftheodd same here... haha.

Him > my GED prep teacher

  • @hunteroftheodd dont drop out looooozer

  • I totaly love you. I wish you were my math teacher. Thanks for helping me prepare for my Accuplacer. It has been nearly 8 years since I was in H.S. so this has helped me a great deal.

  • Why isn't the inverse of -3 over 1, 1 over -3? Why doesn't the negative sign invert as well?

  • wait a minute, the last one, should it have been -7 times positive 9 and 2 times negative 4?

  • ah good math my good sir glad you can teach are students in school one day unlike draki u need to teach hem 2+2 math draki 4

  • I am in Paramedic class and this is the 4th or 5th video I have watched today. Thanks for the help. Your videos are very helpful. Meaning it has been 20 years since I did this kind of math!

  • watching your videos has got me into a top university keep them coming math king

  • this is the fourth video of yours i have watched today!!

  • Thanks man. I'm in grade 7 and we're having a review of this stuff from grade 4.

  • I assume you always cross divide the numerator and the denominator 1st and then divide the smallest of the two (denominator) by itself?

  • Your The Best Thanks So Much

  • THANKS!

  • Thank you soooooooooooo much!!!!!!!

  • Thanks

  • I got it, thank you

  • i just saw your other videos on adding/subtracting, multiplying and now this one and it seriously helped out a lot so thanks a bunch!! =)

  • u still rock!!!!!!!!

  • I won't lie. This didn't help me AT ALL. WHAT ARE THE ANSWERS TO THESE!!! You never made that clear. You showed the process, but you never made the answers clear. Please, try and be more specific in the future.

  • He did make his answers clear. Just pay more attention.
