okay so physicists have discovered molecules, then they discovered atoms, and within an atom they discovered a nuclei with nucleons i.e. protons and neutrons inside the nuclear shell and electrons orbiting this shell. inside protons and neutrons, they've discovered other particles including quarks. and now they're suggesting these quarks and everything in this universe is comprised of extremely tiny vibrating strings. here's the ultimate question: HOW FAR DOWN DOES THE RABBIT HOLE GO?

You can usually find one or the other at a used bookstore. Brian Greene's The Elegent Universe is also a great read once you get a good handle on quantum physics and relativity. I find Hollywood to be to shallow for my spiritual needs. sorry bloke.

@FallofDarkness55 I was thinking recently and the answer occured to me.It doesn't matter how small or large you go you'll always find something bigger or smaller.A branch of string theory says that every atom contains a subatomic universe.This would mean that our universe is just one of these as well,maybe part of some creatures body for example in a nother universe.

Quite interesting.It really makes everything infinitely insignificant.
