To continue with my comment below, I knew a Nicaraguan lady who owned a small restaurant, due to the Californian law of making every restaurant accessible for handycap customers, the restaurant owner had to close the doors. She could not afford "remodelling costs." She was not against handycap customers, she was just being real, but in the public eye this is how big businesses push-out little businesses. Lobby, lobby, lobby :(

Asperin: I worked for a lobbying company which for what I understand it was financed by tax money. I have never worked with so many "hot girls" in one place, very nice people too. But the reality is that they push politicians to pass certain legislations. My comment - big businesses pushing little businesses "through legislation" - based on the fact that I knew big-business owners who sat-down on the board and headed chapters in the association I worked for. What would they be interested in? :)

I think the biggest problem in the USA is the so called "associated press" and the lack of "common sense" due to the "trust the expert card" the media plays everyday on us. I am not an Anarquist, but I completely understand your point. The unsatisfied need for a revolutionary change can be bad for a community if this is not understood correctly, this is what put Hugo Chavez in power. What worries me is:

- Insurance companies "had their chance" and they "failed to honor the trust" of the american people. It is like putting a "know child molestor" and "a child" in the same room and close the door. That just look wrong to me. I am not against health insurance companies as "a commodity" but I am againt these companies as "a necessity." Think about it :(

-The other concern I have is the use of "carbon tax" to put pressure and therefore getting out of business small companies :(
