You can say this is Go-Go and it's all good, but this song was a Rap classic in Clubs up and down the East Coast before Go-Go even had a name outside of D.C.! You need to be at least 45 years old before you try to start categorizing this song. This was the D.C. Area's first contribution to the Rap Genre back when N.Y.C. had a virtual stranglehold on Rap releases, and believe me, this record held its own!

Being from Alexandria, Va, considered a suburb of Wash, D.C., we call this genre of music Go-Go, not Rap or Hip Hop. Even though they did rap on here it's still Go- Go music. They would perform with Chuck Brown( The Godfather of Go-Go ), The Junkyard Band, E.U., Rare Essence and others. It's a call and response music as well. Just thought I'd let you know
