There is a difference in their dynamic on stage and their dynamic in the studio, because it's hard to overdub onstage. Frusciante is a capable enough guitarist to be the only guitarist, that is without Josh there to accompany him, but that's my opinion.
josh played with the chili's for a while, I saw him play in 07 as well and he was bouncing off the walls with energy. When Dave Navarro replaced John during one hot minute I definitely thought his playing didn't fit with the chili's. Josh definitely has a unique and creative sound that works with the chili's, people are much too hard headed and focused on creating the "oh man I only liked the original; lineup/songs/sound" persona for them selves. Try and listen, there's some serious talent here.

There's some kind of chemical reaction when Frusciante makes music with the Chili Peppers. Unfortunately for me, I just don't enjoy his solo music as much or the RHCP minus Frusciante. :(

Anthony is beautiful!!!! I love his voice. I know he lacked confidence he wrote about it in Scar Tissue, but he has really come out of his shell. John is incrdible, but I am willing to give Josh a shot...bands evolve...I am excited to see them during their This Is It tour....it should be FABULOUS
