this film wasnt great but it had a really nice ending with his girlfriend giving birth and steve holding the baby at the end it was a bit of a walt disney ending and there was a lot of comedy in the film aswell with steve crashing into everyones car lol but he was still a very strong man even though he wasnt well its just a shame he took a gamble to have his tumors removed against doctors warnings otherwise he might have lived longer than he did so it was a sad end to a great actor
Steve McQueen's last film. Not his best, but that's not his fault. He was a fighter right up to the end, a classic tough guy who did his best to conceal his terminal condition as long as he could. Considering what he was dealing with, I think he turned in an incredible performance.
it's dissapointment that steve mcqueen turned down the role of dirty harry and The French Connection he said he did not a another cop movie why his's cop movie he did was bulltitt it got good reviews it was a good movie

@funcooldrew2 He had a particular nasty form of cancer which is normally associated with asbestos exposure. He sought unconventional (and since largely discredited) treatment for it from an unlicenced cancer "specialist" in Mexico.
Poor old Steve. A lot of people gave him a hard time for this film. He was dying with cancer. He tried hard not to let anybody know. He still looked good, and was a tremendously strong man both physically and mentally. Anybody rubbishing him, simply look at what he did, and how popular he is 30-odd years after his death. I liked Steve. He was a good man.

Thanks for posting this trailer. It's a shame that the late great Steve McQueen couldn't have ended his career with a better movie than this. It's ok but no classic. Poor Steve looks much older than his 50 years when he made this; the cancer that eventually killed him was probably already eating up his insides.

I havent seen The Hunter in years, wow, not since VHS early 1982. I might keep an eye out for a Bluray if there is one available.
