  • This track is running almost a whole tone sharp in the key of G major.

    Tauber recorded it in the key of F major.

    [TfL has only to ask, and I'll let him have it correctly pitched.]

    The sheet music was published in the keys of E flat and G.

    Peter Dawson recorded it in E flat, Tauber in F, McCormack in F sharp and Webster Booth in G. Walter Glynne was the first to record it [he also sang it in G.]
