Indeed man. I mean the reliability and ease of use are my prime options. I love my SOG and Cold Steel knives, but this EKA has cut electric cables, branches, roopes, as well as gone inside jars of mayonaise and jelly. I'm just not the kind of guy that likes to clean and maintain my gear. I just want to work. :) I do spend some time sharpening it on a simple oilstone. hehe
I agree with you, I like the simplest possible knife if my POU is for a survival situation or whatever, it cant have that many moving parts and has to be able to be fixed when you are out in the bush, as you cant send it back when you are out there!
It is nice to see somebody so enthusiastic about a simple, good quality knife instead of something that has starred in Rambo movies. I got a Swede 88 today and I am convinced that it is all the knife you need for most common tasks in the bush. Thanks for your review and best wishes. Stephen Coote, Nelson, New Zealand.
Thanks man. I tend to describe every product as acurate as possible. And yes the EKA knives are an amazing surprise for me. I also like "rambo knives" for splitting logs, but my small EKA is very good for most of my outdoor tasks ( even at work using this knife heavily )
Thanks man. I'll be doing more reviews once I aquire more gear in the future. My aim is to do them in English as well as Dutch and French. More interesting info coming soon.
great review.....I ordered mine this days and really look forward to get it!
All the best from Austria
