  • Mój kask, on ma trzy rogi.

    Trzy rogi ma mój kask.

Bo gdyby nie te trzy rogi,

    To nie byłby mój kask.

  • I never get tired of listening to Mr. Sandro Russo.

Bravo! my music friend, your music is a cleansing for the soul even if

you are not a Chopin fan!

  • what a fine interpretation! bravo!

  • Introduction and Variations On the Carnival of Venice by bottesini is the earliest instance of the theme that i have found..

  • Sometimes chopin tries to please instead of listening to his self. Lioke op. 2 variations on Mozart I think tyhis is V I L E ! As flaccis as Moscheles,Cramer adsn all that other 19th century junk. What fool would compare this to the berceuse or barcarolle. This is trash played with the sensitivity of a fine pianist.

  • Next to Berceuse op 57, this is probably the most beautiful piece Chopin wrote.

  • Chopin DID NOT write this - this is his variation on a violin wrote he heard violinist Paganini play.

  • How would you know? You wern't alive in the 1800's like Chopin.

  • hey guy, look it up! The piece is written by another composer but he just wrote the variations. He heard Paganini play it and he chose to do his own piano arrangement of it. Look it up on Wiki or something.

  • so you are meaning it is wrote by Chopin

  • The theme is written by another person, but he embellished it, wrote variations on it and that kind of thing.

  • @GeorgeMaxwellDuPre So he did write it then! ;)

Paganini just wrote the original melody...

  • @4candles Well, depends upon what you consider "write". The theme is not his but he did re-write it. But the beautiful variations are his. This is one of my favourite pieces by the young Chopin.

  • @GeorgeMaxwellDuPre What was the original piece by Paganini? Do you know that?

  • @Lity10 Carnival of Venice.

  • @Lity10 youtube.cm/watch?v=MsagjKAZrz0

  • @4candles Actually, Paganini didn't write the original melody.

Rossini had used it before Paganini - and before that, it was an old Italian "folk" melody...

  • @ZirconLupa I stand corrected. Thanks for the info.

  • @BrendanKennedy96

that's your opinion and I am sure you are entitled to it :-)

  • In Germany this song is called:

Mein Hut, der hat drei Ecken!

  • Is this in A major?

  • yes it is

  • I knew he wrote that once i got the best of Chopin album and thats when i first heard of Chopin and i heard of Chopin a long time ago

  • One of the most haunting pieces ever . I first heard Idil Biret's rendition of it.

  • Wonderlul! Mr. Russo is amazing!

  • I agree, Darling!!! Music is lovely!!! It's a great masterpiece!!! Wonderful music and wonderful performance!!!

  • Thank you Baby, I think Sandro is wonderful!

he was really great at the concert here in Oakland.

  • this is amazing!!!I feal like this play is his best play in career...Bravo...

  • Magnificent!!

  • so good... puts a smile on my face.

Listen to paganini's "Variations of God Save the King"... this rendition is indeed delicious!

  • is this the guy from Betty la Fea?

  • Ahhhh. Now I'll go to bed and dream of Venice. Thank you.

  • Wonderful !

  • I never thought that someone can add more beauty to Chopin. Superb and beyond category!

  • Good performance !

    thank for posting ^^

  • Mein Hut der hat 3Ecken, 3Ecken hat mein Hut

  • ja, ich weiss das auch von meinem Kindheit, aber auf Englisch. My hat it has 3 corners.

  • This piece is just variations on The Carnival of Venice. I wondered why Chopin used Paganini in the title of the piece (even though Paganini had written his variations on the folk tune).

  • Variations that sound a lot like Paganini's variations.

  • I've heard the original version for solo violin. This, in a way, is Chopin's piano simplification of the original violin variations.

  • Anyone know any other songs like this and the Berceause?

  • A lovely little piece! I think it'd gain worlds if slowed down some (like the Berceuse) or speed-increased considerably (like the Berceuse when seen as something of ice and wind).

  • Now I have a sugar high...

  • Score available on <www5.famille.ne.jp/~therapy/PDF/chop_souvenir_de_paganini.pdf>. Sort of reminds me of the Berceuse. Cute. Nice to air out the odd rare piece now and again. Thanks for posting!

  • The address is correct, except that You Tube added a space between the final "p" and "df". This often happens to long HTML addresses quoted in You Tube comments. Just remember that spaces are never permitted in URLs, and if you see one, delete it and try again.
