  • i would tell him about it and ask him to delete it in frount of you

  • I didn't think Geoffrey Leonard had a PC!

  • Just leave em alone and don't tell em

  • Yes, I would report them. If you lose customers because you are reporting illegal behaviour then they are customers you don't need. I personally wouldn't want to support a company that turned a blind eye to such things.

  • i dont beleive you "just saw" this stuff on his pc, i think you were snooping, nothing is visible unless its found and things are only found when people look for them........

  • if it is child porn or something that harms a person then it needs to be reported. if the material invaded the persons privacy then report it. if it someone else has been using the machine then it is best to have it investigated.

your reputation will be stronger in that field if you are honest, honorable, and right.

    cheers to you FAB.

  • I would not report them.. especially because it only happened over a short course of time and given the circumstances, if it's an ongoing thing it will come to the surface some other way.

  • If it's underage porn yea if not no...

  • You should report it!!! If he didnt download it the law can determine who did. If guilty-he pays, if innocent-at least the law can TRY to find out who did. Every image/video is a moment of a child being abused and if you dont report it you become a part of the crime.

  • Wow, I can't imagine what it must be like to have to endure that. How embarassing, I would of called the pigs.

  • Mate, probably too late now but 1st i'd make a back up, then go delete the data off his pc, let the basterd pick it up, if you get a complaint afterwards ring the pigs, you have the evidence. If there's no problem burn the copy ya got and forget about it - Cheers Bro

  • Yes, you should have reported this Fatausssie, if you live in Qld, which you do look like a Queenslander to me, under section 86 within the Criminal Code Act 1899 (Qld) Obtaining of or disclosure of secret information about the

identity of informant. within this section paragraph 2 it sates. " A person who, without lawful justification or excuse,

publishes or communicates secret information in the

possession of, or obtained from, a criminal organisation informant commits a crime.

  • What shoud You do? Aside from Blackmailing Him for big money? I think You might call it Greenmail? I'd certainly copy it all to disk, so that He nor anyone else has the chance to destroy it. Then it would be Your word against His, which would not be good.If it's Kidde Porn then yeah You are Morally Obligated to turn it over to the Cops. Let them sort out whether He knew or not. Then with the disk they can proceed to investigate, & or sting Him later, since He does'nt know what they have on Him!

  • You had to bloody ask us numpties out in the land of the internets? Hold on D D D Donkeys fucking women, harmless? Crikey. What the fuck happen to your moral compass, you fucking sit on you fat fuck? Anyway you should not even have to think about it, as much as i hate the fucking cops man you have to tell them, what ever is on his machine is his responsabilty. I really hope this is a wind up and if this really happened you did call the cops. Your not just trying to be controversial to bait cunts

  • Dont dog to no authority, confront him flat out an tell him its there and see what he wants to do, if he knows or doesnt care, tell him what you did and end your relationshipv with him, if he feaks out and doesnt liek the idea of it suggest or see if he wants to delete it and get rid of it so you both know its gone, theres no reason to be a dog, liek you said unless you KNOE he produced it or sourced it and you are the WITNESS you are right, it could be a setup or trapp, you did the righ thing!!

  • you pwn

  • Tell us what the content was, thats what matters. If it's kid porn i'd confront the person and see what they say. If it something like kid porn and i thought by his/her reaction that they knew about it and going by that reaction i'd give them up. I'm not the type to want to involve cops but if it's something like sick porn or a danger to my beloved Australia, like terrorism,i'd drop them straight into the shit. As far as buisness is concerned i wouldn't want to deal with that type of cunt anyway

  • a good load test for the CPU and RAM is prime 95 that is used a lot for gamers which have very fast CPUs, it is also good for overclocking. But if it is not law and only a morrow# then sure you should call the cops.

  • @Alucardthedeadone Moral not morrow.

  • Wait til the bastard comes back to pick the computer up, choke him out, then call the police. Alternatively, because it's child porn, torch his testicles off.

  • Hey Pete, if fucking donkeys is considered tame to you then this must be some REALLY fucked up shit, but all the same you are being a bit ambiguous as to what exactly it is- which is fine. In all honesty, if it disgusts especially as a parent then I would confront him and see if the fucker starts to sweat, If the guy gets tighter than a bulls ass at fly time then I would consider calling the fuzz.

  • It simple really, if it's regular porn you find no big deal just fix it up and tell them its ready to pick up.

If it's kiddy porn, call the cops because, the kids on there computer might be in real danger !

  • yeah call the cops. let them know the dates it was downloaded so they can ascertain whether it was him or not.

  • so is there an update to the story here pete?

  • its a conscience call, what WOULD be done if you called the cops? In most cases dont be a rat.

  • personally Pete, i would tell him, make sure he is aware of what could happen if he didn't delete it immediately, and would report him if he didn't, maybe not in that exact context or order, but basically that

  • I dont think you should, its considered as breach of privacy, maybe just tell the customer its illegal and leave it.

Anways, was wondering if you could help me out. I heard theres a virus going around called Refog.Keylogger, the directory is some shit like System32/Mpk.exe and when you go in there its not there, anti virus cant delete it because it says it cant find it. Not even under hidden files and folders. Also opens up random ads in web browsers. any ideas?

  • ok so i stumbled upon you cause of a vid comment by spamerman ... my opinion is that you should confront him..... and watch closly to his reaction... then make your desision from that.. i am sure that most would appreceate that you notified the police if this person is truly a ummmm well what ever you would call them depending on the situation..i know it pays your bills and alot of ppl look at porn but if this person needs to be punished.. go about it the correct way.. or smash a mofo lol.. jk.

  • What a moral delema

  • That new intro is just what you needed. It's short, snappy and gets us to the FAB which is what we're all here to see.

As far as ringing the cops goes- @TheSlashinator seems to be on the right track.

If the cops make a meal of it (which they tend to do, especially the QLD variety) then get out your trusty Mr Shovel and plant the piece of dog turd where it won't grow.

  • have you called the cops yet

  • Wow IM loving the new editing!

  • Let the cops investigate and decide their innocence. You need to draw a line somewhere and you might even save a life in the process. Who's to say it's only images or video that he or she has been watching?

  • Pete, I'm also a computer technician and have seen some interesting things. If i was in your position I wouldn't judge and say what if someone set him up etc etc etc. I would call the police and let them do the investigation because they are the experts. They can determine if he is guilty or not

  • I'd use my straight shooting no bullshit approach ....

.... going broke for reporting illegal activities makes it sound like the majority of the population would prefer there was no law .... I'm really keen to hear your comment ....

PS sorry about the use you and throw you out like a used rag comment ... it had to be taken in the context from which it arose ... cya

  • Call him in, show him what is there and take it outside and trash it!

  • I'd keep hold of the computer and phone him up again to hear his explanation before he picks it up. If his story sounds sketchy, let the police know, if he sounds like he genuinely has no idea, maybe just make sure it's gone. In all honesty, I doubt a dirty pedo would take their computer in to a shop knowing they had something like that on there. Though in my opinion, all those pedo's should have their dicks chopped off.

  • @TheSlashinator -- I,m with this dude-- This is the way to go..

  • Leave it mate, you don't know any back story and it could 100% ruin someones life, it is definitely not worth ruining someones else's life. Hope you really think about it. Have a good one man.

  • ring the police mate

  • your intro pretty shit put your old one back you old bastard

  • I'm thinkin' you've probably got some sort of legal responsibility to report it? Might depend on the state you're in, but I'd check that real carefully - else you could be an accessory or some such.

If you report 1 guy over illegal stuff, you're not gonna get a bad rep - if anything, it's gonna improve your cred I'd suggest. And you'd hardly be the first guy working on computers that's done it.

And if he's got a bit over a couple of weeks, who knows what other shit he's got at home....

  • FAB your exactly like my dad hes in IT he repairs them and stuff im useless lol

    love your videos FAB

  • its a tricky 1 fatty you have given it some thought as some shit does just end up on pc `s i was thinking originaly just drop his docs and let the public decide

what i would do would be to invite him in and explain WTF the shit is if he has a lame excuse chuck him in the boot and etc etc

fuck the cops and the court kangaroo court rules

was it made local or downloaded ?

  • it's hard , but..... i would of asked him if he was aware that the content was on his computer and i would of observed his answer and facial expresion caerfully , u can normally tell when people are lying , if i thought he was'nt telling the truth well i then would have reported him

  • Oh and i would like to hear your comments on our comments on this particular subject.

  • YOu call the fucking cops.. let the cops figure out whos video it is... If it was my kids in that video and you found it and i didnt know that shit was going on and you didnt call the cops the guy that made the vid should get the chair and you should get the fucking chair too. I dont me to sound like an ass but when it comes to children being taped like that money and your busness should be the last of your worries...

  • No dont go to the police. Instead I think u shud bury a hatchet in this cunts back. Also, as far as confidentiality goes, u didnt take some type of oath such as a doctor or lawyer would, stop kidding urself u fix computers at the end of the day!!

  • Tell the jacks I say. If it is his shit, he'l get what he deserves. If it isn't and there is another explanation, well, hopefully shit gets done right.

  • wow... i would deffs contact the local authorities and let them know whats happening but ask them if you can ask the customer for an explanation.. in case its not their content... it is a very difficult situation pete... go with your gut.. i would defenitly bring it up with the customer and if it something terrible like child porn then involve the authority? best of luck pete! x

  • If it were me I'd say report it. I know what you mean by not wanting to get a reputation, but I reckon people would trust you more because they would know that you don't deal with suspected criminals. But then again innocent until proven guilty.

    Good luck

    Rosie :)

  • I would give him back his computer and tell him what I found.

  • ok first i don't think somebody can be completely oblivious to something on there PC especially if you found it with in that short time you had it,so even if it wasn't theres i think they would of found it and deleted it . secondly i think you should report them because of the reason above and the fact that, that shit is f**ked up and if it's not theirs they can tell that the police.

  • Tell the cops. He may not know that it is even on his computer, and someone else may have downloaded it, but even so, they need to know. They can then decide if he's innocent or guilty.

  • Also, you should have handed the pc directly to authorities, not back to the customer. (due to comment restrictions this didn't fit.)

  • Just by posting this video, in which you can be identified, you've already done the damage to your rep.

Best thing to do is to inform the police because its your legal responsibility, the police should be able to determine whether or not he downloaded the files (based on alibi's etc) or if he did not, who had else had access to the pc and may have.

I have a close friend who was the victim of child pornography, reporting this could save someone's childhood by not reporting your an accomplice.

  • FAB, you have to report it. You said in the video that by working in IT you have a moral obligation. Here, your obligation is both moral and legal. Ask yourself this mate, if your kids were involved in this type of stuff would you not want the person or persons responsible to be punished? I agree that there are quite a few ways this material could appear on his computer. Let the authorities sort it out.

    Cheers

    Big Al

  • Donkeys banging women is the line.......anything over is for the police to decide, harsh but fair.....

  • mate, you don't need to bring it up per see, just make a passing comment about some rather interesting videos you found while trying to fix the pc

  • just ask him about it..

  • If it was my kid on one of those vids I would have appreciated you doing something about it.

  • If it was my kid on one of those vids I would have appreciated you doing something about it.

  • You should ring the coppers.

  • Delete The Material

  • Regardless of who the person was, be it a best mate or even a family member I would report it to the police. Any person who views or dealn in child pornography should be dealt with & prosecuted. They have sick minds; they might start off viewing, but what happens once they get bored with just looking?

  • Regardless of who the person was, be it a best mate or even a family member I would report it to the police. Any person who views or deals is child pornography should be dealt with & prosecuted. They have sick minds; they might start off viewing, but what happens once they get bored with just looking?

  • dude dont even think call the cops and have the cunt arrested

  • Regardless of whether he put it there or not...think about the child that was in the video....THATS who you should have in mind when considering what to do.

  • i woulda smacked him one mate... thats fuckin wrong and fuckin low.. grubs mate.

  • In my opinion, Morals go out the window when dealing with this sort of illegal stuff. What if you do nothing and something happens to a kid in your community, You would feel more gulity about that.

  • I'd tell them but not report. I think your right about the fact that he may not know about the material

  • i think you did the right thing. there is too many variables. if it had been uploaded/produced by himself or whoever used the comp i'd report him. but as you said you don't know who dl'd it. also if you let him know you know and he's a sick fuck. he might try and get back at you.definitely keep his details though.

  • FAB, you gotta front this poon and let him know what ya found and get him to level with you. If its his then its your duty to take the law into your own hands and dish out a sound flogging! and then burn the maggots pc lol.

  • How Many with my logo?

    Keep on YouTubin!

  • Speak to him first.

I have watched some shocking stuff that I don't condone at all, but it doesn't make me sick.

I suspect he knows that it is there though.

  • I think you ought to make him aware of what's on the on computer, he'd deny it if he was or wasn't guilty of downloading it but it would serve as a good warning to him. You could call the cops but it wouldn't work out well for the business so just give him a good talking to. cheers.

  • Report the mofo

  • I think you should ask the police what the best thing to do is.

  • i think you shouldn't not tell him and just delete all the kiddie porn and give it back to the guy whats the guy going to say to you " hay Mr.computer man you deleted all my illegal kiddie porn and can you put it back " if the guy knows its there and finds it gone when he goes to view it and can put 1 and 1 together that you found it a delete he may wise up and get scared that the f.a.b is going to lay the smack down on him or if he didn't know its there you may have helped him out

  • Hey man, I haven't seen many of your videos, I don't get on to youtube much anymore. But you're beginning to grow on me. You remind me of a guy I work with: Typical Aussie, good laughs. Now in this situation what I would do is tell him that you found the material, but incase this person has no idea what you're talking about because he will probably deny it anyway. Assure him that you aren't going to call the cops but the material being the reason why you're denying this guy service. Cheers man!

  • like you said, plausible deniability is a bitch. because you don't know where they got it,does mean leveling accusations could end badly. But maybe just throw the computer back. tell him/her it has illegal content. see the reaction. then you will know whether to report em. Tricky question mate

  • i would mention something to HIM. question him about it. and go from there

  • Dont say a word, at the end of the day going to the cops is still going to the cops, its a no, no. BUT I would put signs around town with his picture, name & address and a short discription of what was on his PC. This is a matter for street justice as people who mess with kids get less jail time than people who grow weed.

  • Maybe secretly inform him of this content or secretly delete it. because if it wasn't him he shouldn't notice or care

  • It just depends on what it is really, but as-long as you're not in trouble for seeing it then either tell the customer about it or your boss at let them decide.

  • Report the bastard, stuff like this is sick, completely wrong. Content such as this breaks all codes of silence mate.

  • I would infrom the guy of whats on this computer, but i wouldnt call the cops coz mite not be his stuff

  • report the dirty cunt immediately. If it's not him downloading it then he'll know who did, the end result is the same, one less kiddie fiddler on the streets.

  • Talk to your local authorities about your obligations as an IT professional. It's best to get a name as someone that reports these kind of things than getting a name of someone that ignores it.

Good news travels fast, bad news travels faster.

  • Honestly if it was me i would just forget about it

  • Protecting Kids is always first, you say moral obligations not to devulge but it is un moral to allow kids to be mistreated.

  • Ask him bout it, tell him hey mate do you realize what this is? Dx

  • If it's something criminal and you talk to him first, that makes you criminal too. If it's something like child pornography: Think about what's more important. You losing some (criminal) clients or helpings the molested kids. To me the action is clear. The cops will do everything to keep you anonymous.

  • Find the Authorities

  • I would just live and let live,it's not worth risking your buisness

  • This was a bullshit story dreamed up by FAB just to get people thinking and to make comments. FACT IS, the police would be at his business after having viewed his video. SOMEONE would have alerted the police...and they would have been there already. By telling his story on Youtube and not reporting it to the police...FAB could be charged with a crime. He wasn't ranting and raving, so I contend that it's just more FAB bullshit

  • Fair enough your keeping an open mind about this..Considering you are thinking about the time it was downloaded BUT, if he is working in a professional field say "doctor" or anyone that's has contact with kids. its just acceptable mate!!

kiddy porn is a pretty fucked up.. this guy didn't just view it,he downloaded it... maybe you should call him in for a chat and ask him to bring in his PC and ask "how long he has had it and does anyone use it?? after he answer's.. you be the judge!!

  • @RAJSTA81 i meant to say "not acceptable"

  • Can you not see when I file was last accessed? Or only last modified... I mean, if it was downloaded 9 months ago, and only in a short period of time, if it hasn't been accessed since, then it is a pretty safe bet that it wasn't him... I don't think it's worth jeopardizing your business for... If it was stuff that he was making, or if he had 100s of gigabytes of stuff then yeah... but it really doesn't sound like it was him...

  • I have a idea. Forget the cops. Just wipe the computer clean (erase everything including windows. LOL) then give it back to them and not tell the person its been wiped clean, but been fixed. That way your not lying and getting rid of the sick and twisted shit at the same time. 2 birds one huge F**king stone.

  • i watched the vid that tells wat it is i think inform him and warn him

  • OK i buy some i think your one of the funny people on Youtub

  • I think you need to have a line. If a customer crosses that line, refuse service and report them. If you aren't willing to refuse service, the files must not be that bad. If you get a good read on the person, it would be reasonable to say, "I noticed the virus originated from xyz files, do you know how those got on your machine?" Their answer to that question could impact your reaction.

  • Nice Intro! My cousin has a "similar" job. You Forget what you SEE on a person's PC unless its some "Diaper Sniper" who has videos of kids that are absolutely under age and or worse yet, younger children I think you know you have to call this to his attention.

  • You think it might be someone setting him up? HOW do you KNOW its not someone setting YOU UP for not speaking up about it. My cousin Did speak up to who brought their PC in and they said "YOU PASSED THE TEST." It was a set up by his co-workers!

  • It was actually a TEST to HIS honesty and he got a great account out of calling the "Phony Porn" to this guys attention. Yeah Id tell the guy who brought in the PC himself and make note of it in a "work Diary" .

  • BTW, keeping a diary of what you find and when and making a note of it about who and when etc. could come in handy sometime (wink) LOL

  • i would tell him about it and delete it off of it

  • Alot of people have commented that he may not have known about the videos. I assume from FAB's recount that he went to the desktop or my docs, not snooping around, and found some videos to test the CPU with. In that case, it would almost be impossible for him to not know about these videos. What's even more puzzling then, asssuming he knows about the videos, is why would he leave them in such a place where anyone could find them, especially before giving his PC in for repair.

  • "lets face it, that stuff is fairly harmless" lol

  • First, I think I would ask the customer if he/she is the only person who uses their machine. If they say other folks access the machine, I'd inform him/her of what I found. Otherwise, I'd erase some of the offending videos and see if he complains. If he does, call the authorities on him.

  • Best CPU load test isn't video, mate. There are a couple of good free programs called Prime 95, OCCT or LinX. OCCT and LinX work fairly fast (about 2 hours vs Prime 95 taking about 8 hours to really stress it). Also the Intel Burn In Test works well (even for AMD machines). I would suggest using those instead of using the video method, that way you won't be in the situation where you have to use or look through client videos. Just my 2 cents as a fellow IT guy. Though I do game builds!

  • I wouldn't call the cops myself. The person did nothing violent.

  • @AnarchistDictator but the kids were forced into this shit, you fucking pedo lover. Pete should call the cops. Whats to say the video makers start pyhiscally abusing the kids for the next video

  • If it had anything to do with kids i would be inclined to watch an accident happen in a quiet place

  • Now, I do know one thing (there have been MANY movies about this and its also something I learned from a friend of mine who has the same job as you) there are many people out there who can find a person's IP information and use it to download bad content, they NEVER stay on another computer for long periods of time, but they can do bad things what I would do is contact him, have a consultation about the issue, (JIC because he could get in serious stuff even if it wasnt him)

  • I know what you went though mate. it is not a fun job those ones

I have had 2 that I discovered "kiddy prn" on

one the police were all ready on to the oxygen thief and came in to pick up the job as they searched his house

the other one I ended up taking the puter to the local police station.

I also told the client what happened. not easy

as a father I would do it again any time.

in NSW it law to HAVE to report it to the Cops if you find it from memory. I am not in NSW though.

  • I feel this guy may not even know it's on his computer or he forgot about it. Just the fact that it was over a two week period & nothing since or before makes me wonder if he had a house guest staying for a couple of weeks.

  • Contact your attourney see what they say.

  • if you mentinon it to the police he will go to jail no questions child porn is a big deal just mention it to him so someone like he wife or girlfriend finds it =o

  • If you don't mind the lawyers barking up your arse, hurting a possibly innocent person, bad rep then go for it. Just because you see something doesn't make it your responsibility but again its up to you and no one should be telling you what to do.

  • code of ethics bloke; is up to the individual.

  • In my opinion, i would call the guy and tell him that u found material which u believe is exploiting minors etc... but dont accuse him of downloading or making it, just explain that you found it, you havent called the police, and ask him to pick up his computer asap as you feel uncomfortable working on it. Maybe even explain to him where the files are, as he may not be aware he even has them... That would be my best answer.. Hope it helped! :)

  • Comment removed

  • @AussieByte -What am I saying?

There's no ifs and buts,it is what it is,the lowest of the low and the cops need to know.

Children are our most precious responsibility

  • Definately call the police. I also work in IT and my concern for the public far outweighs my concern for my customer. Who knows? You may turn out to be a hero. Even if the material isn't the owner's, it may lead to someone who is really doing serious harm to other people.

  • report that mother fucker

  • depends what it was mate, how bad are we talking?

  • Haha my dad came across the same scenario like 3 months ago...

Day to him "i don't want to see this again, and i will report it if i see it again!'

Chances are he is just computer retarded and viewed it by mistake, then forgot about it. Not worth telling the authority's and getting this poor fella 10 years in jail for every minute or whatever.

Happend to my mate... Poor fellow

He is 18 and had pictures of his girlfriend naked like 2 years ago.... 1 picture... 10 years!!!

  • yes just in case!

  • It depends what the content is but I can only think of one kind of video you may have found that is blatantly illegal and as disgusting as you are making it out to be. I would confront him directly with it and if he gave me any flak that I thought was him trying to cover up his tracks, I'd go right off and report him to the authorities. Give him the benefit of the doubt but I wouldn't just hand his computer back and let it go.

  • i think i might go buy your t-shirts when people get sick of then and start selling them on ebay

  • I myself work in IT aswell, you are bound by LAW to report any illigal material found on customers machine. You don't need to make aware to the customer that you have reported them, the police will handle the intire situation.

    Hope that helps.

  • Very interesting question. I would do what you did unless this footage involved child abuse, if it does i would call the police straight away.

  • Well, I think mate, you may have answered your

    own question just quietly.

Pull the C.O. of the business aside and be honest with him/her and reveal to them what you have found. That would be the safest option for both parties to begin with. Being in the Military for donkeys years, we were always warned to keep our Hard drives professional otherwise lookout. Businesses out there must have the same guidlines

You could also put your feelers out for some professional advice as well,

  • Hey FAB =) I think you might want to talk to him first before taking it further. Tell him you came across this material while processing the scan or whatever it was (which is the truth anyway) and ask him if he knew it was there on his PC. That way, you're letting him know that you KNOW, and at the same time you're giving him a chance to explain the situation. Two birds, one stone (and one hell of a rainy day here in Sydney!) Goog luck matey.

  • That's a tough call, Pete... I'm still on the fence about what I would do. I would give the customer the benefit of the doubt and perform the service on his computer, but I'd most likely give him a warning heads up on what is on the computer just in case it was downloaded by a guest... Cindy would call the cops immediately. She's very sensitive on child abuse issues...

  • Delete the data. If he comes back and complains, then you'll know if he knew it was there.

  • The proper way to put a CPU under load is to run a program meant to run a CPU under load. Ala IntelBurnTest...

  • Well you would think that if it was his, he would of taken it off his computer before he took it in to you, i reckon you should tell him and see how he reacts. Have a good one Pete :)

  • Refusing the work was the best thing to do FAB at the time because of sheer disgust... But as you said it may have been a good idea to bring it to his attention and if he is a n00b with pc's you could inform that other people will find it as well and may not be so forgiving when it regards contact the police.

  • who is this sicko i need some money? lol bribe him or own him. Can you get someone else to ring faking to be a cop and check his reaction. recorded the convo and post it! lmao

  • Mate, it all depends on what kind of footage it was, and illegal in what way?

ie, drug manufacturing, child porn or filming people in a toilet or bedroom without their knowledge. Depends on the footage, mate.

  • If the highly illegal content involves children, then yes, call the police. You can't assume the customer knows nothing about the videos. He/she may have another PC they are downloading and viewing them.

  • Hey FAB add a link to the videowaves channel for as long as you use the intro he created. And as far as the questionanable videos are concerned if it involves kids report it straight to the authorities and let them sort it out. Either he is a sick fuck and deserves 3 square with Bubba for a spell or one of his mates are and he deserves to know.

  • If it was something like kiddie porn i would report it or if its highly illegal i would because the last thing you want is the police to come and starting questioning you, and now days they would probably try charging u for accessory to the crime, and its only one customer, people would think that he was just having a cry so your shouldn't lose to many clients because its a one off occasion, but it is a very sensitive topic and a good question.

  • Call the person who owns the computer, tell them waht you found, and let them explain, or just call the cops.

  • Cops these days either do too much or too little.

  • Prime95?

  • You should at least make him aware what you found on his computer and why you dont want to do buisness with him..

I doubt IT workers have sworn an oath of confidiantiality like doctors etc do?....So if it was bad enough (To offend you it must be pretty fucken bad..prob kiddy porn or sumthin) I would inform the police as well...Fuck him...Let him deal with it, even if he didnt know it was there.

  • delete it

  • @TheFatAussieBastard Haha, I like the second option, Good for lazyness.. But i suggest alerting the person what they have on their PC. If they go all nervous. You should ask for a bribe :), No but seriously if he goes nervous, Call the POLICE!!!!!!!!

  • I'd rather lose a few customers and keep my integrity than lose my integrity to keep a few customers.

    Which reputation would you prefer:

Someone who reports illegal videos to the cops or

someone who lets people get away with having child porn (or whatever it was) on their computer?

  • you should have put the virus back in the creeps computer, plus a few more :P

  • Good intro, but I like the old one more.

  • you did the wright thing

  • what you do cause you dont want to be a dog is go round to his house kick the living shit out of him maybe make him drink your piss who knows what ever tickles your fancy at the time then go and graffiti on his house make sure you wearing a face mask one of those suits woman wear to suck in everything so you look thinner then ring him up say you can fix his computer take it off him tell him youll report him if he doesnt let you seel the thing

  • ill assume whatever u found didnt involve kids because you left his limbs attatched to his body haha. im always very concious of my history when i submit my comp for repairs but idk where else to look other than history and cookies :P any hints? haha

  • If it was that offensive & illegal, just delete the crap! What's he gonna do? Report you to the police?! hahahaha Another plus is that you'd have got paid for the job AND done a good deed in the process! BUT if you are feeling mean.... I mean really mean... set it up to automatically email the nasty to the cop shop and let them handle it! *grin

  • dobb the kiddie porn douche bag in

  • I'd probs tell the guy make him aware that you know its on there but not acusing him of having, afterall yeah he may not know its there. But if he's aware you know he'd deffiently think twice about having that sort of content on his computer. And good work on your online shop, if I had any spare funds id DEFFIENTLY buy a T-shirt XD.

  • this is a hard one as much as i hate pedo's i know how the I.T world works and how people can get a bad name in business for this . people will be reluctant to go to a pc shop because they have a couple of downloaded games or movies illegally etc. but on the other hand sick fucks who have this kind of stuff on there pc need to be bought to justice, i think u should make the customer aware of what you have found. hopefully that scares the shit out of them not to do it again

  • @fusion88 i dont reckon itd scare the shit out of them probably just make them not take their computer to get fixed but still do that shit

  • but also on a different note if the "illegal" stuff you have found is child pornography, definatly turn him in then

  • imo fab id just turn a blind eye, your making money and money is all that matters anymore in this day and age in the world there are people out there probably doing far worse things rather than having 'illegal' stuff on their computers
