@beccawawa1 this band and very cool. in my opinion is the best rock band the songs we loop them to do anything even when we do not feel she knew the game Ps2 FREEKSTYLE i eat them to look for the music that was when I found the cd i was so Disconnected joy was listening to 24 hours and we will continue to listen and not stopped until today. i admire them even living here in Brazil and not having the opportunity to meet them. this is what I have to say this band [dry cell]
ive been listening to both and yes dry cell wrote the song and their the orinignal singers of it but likin park did there verse of the song body crumbles look it up it sounds totally different trust me i know what im talkin bout...
@13strangerzbaby Trust me, I know what I'm talking about too. Look up Impur - Body Crumblez, which happens to be on my account as well. That was the demo version from Dry Cell. Also, there's around 8 or 9 version of this song. This one from the Japanese Imported Version, the Freekstyle Advance Demo cd, the Advance, the Full Length, the Impur versions, the QOTD version, and even the Madden version...Plenty of versions all done by Dry Cell and their singer Jeff Gutt.
@TFRLIceman Dry Cell had a FAQ up on their MySpace some time ago and they explicitly said, "Linkin Park has never sang or performed this song." Linkin Park themselves once confirmed that too. I've also asked Danny, (DC's guitarist), and he said no, just as they have always said...
@TFRLIceman I think that @13strangerzbaby is getting Dry Cells lead singer confused with Chester from Linkin' Park. I admit, they sort of sound alike but I've been listening to dry cell since the famous FREAKSTYLE and Madden Body Crumbles. Which made me purchase a 30 dollar rare copy of "Disconnected" Dry Cell is underrated. I love them.
@DeProducer313 It's easy to get confused with them for sure. I know DC personally and I've asked the band this myself. Idk why people still argue this when you can ask either band and they'll both say no LP has never done this song.
This song is responsible for getting them national attention. This song was on the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. The Queen of the Damned soundtrack was pretty much handpicked by Jonathan Davis of Korn. So it's kind of weird to be antagonistic against someone who gave them one of their springboards.
I felt so free and happy when I listened to this in high school all my problems and stress just rolled right off of me. I felt happy just being myself in my own skin!!!
wow really, i mean alot of people think it was written by Linkin Park though and thats pretty sad, are they allowed to do that? i mean like not even say that its a dry cell cover?
Dont they have to like say that its a dry cell cover though??? i mean ive been listening to linkin park for like forever and ive always thought that they where the ones who wrote it.
I personally know Jiff Gutt (Lead Vocals) and have known him for many years... Dry Cell wrote the song, Both Linkin Park and Dry Cell were at one time signed to Warner Bros. Apparently Linkin Park complained to Warner Bros that Dry Cell sounded too much like Linkin Park and Dry Cell was dropped from record Label.
@SunnySmileDreaming I found out that what I had been calling the "original" version is actually the demo version. So.... it's the demo version that I really like the best. Maybe I can post it as a video response??
@SunnySmileDreaming This uploader (TFRLIceman) has the demo version. Look through his videos to find Impur (Pre-Dry Cell) - Body Crumblez - Impur EP (Track 1). This is the version I remember from Queen of the Damned.
@Dwarmin im not kidding. im not like those other idiots that say they know someone in the band. my cousin is the one playing the guitar, not with the mohawk though.
Well um..if anyone is interested in knowing what band Jeff Gutt plays for now...It's called Band with No Name (BWNN)...Not as good as Dry Cell but hey, interested nonetheless.
It really doesnt matter if music has profanity in it...It's the message the song sends, and thats what America REALLY has screwed up. We can have songs about sex on the radio but not say the word shit?
great music isn't really dieing... just becoming less known is more like it... people like the ones who love the bands this are the people to remember it... all we gotta do is let our kids listen to songs like this (profanity free) and it should be passed down... back in the day you didn't need to sound like scarface to make good music... how i miss the good ole days
@TheMusicMasterJonny Considering how bad Linkin Park sold out, I would consider DC better than LP. Of course that's my opinion, but Jeff Blue produced both LP's first two albums (Hybrid Theory and Meteora [I'm excluding Reanimation]), and Dry Cell's album so it's part of the reason they sound similar.
@TFRLIceman Ey... I never thought of them as sold out. I like all there Albums Equally. But I will always like there More Heavy stuff. There new stuff is not that bad.
@PollyTheStupid I enjoyed the albums they produced with Jeff Blue. Rick Rubin has changed the band fundamentally softer. I say sold out because they went with what was popular instead of staying true to what they were. I will always like Linkin Park, but I couldn't even bring myself to go to the store to buy A Thousand Suns without hearing it first which is sad because 4-5 years ago, I'd buy it without questioning it.
@TFRLIceman I mean all the LP fans want them to make music just like Hybrid theory, and Meterora. I still listen to those 2 albums more then MTM and ATS. But sometimes I like the change, The problem is, is that Chester is worrying about his self being, knowing he's getting older, and he can't scream like he used to be. I would like just to be there last album to be something similar to the first 2. Thats just something I would wish. But I don't know what goes on the mind of the LP team. >_>
@PollyTheStupid A lot of their change in sound had to do with Rick Rubin producing the last two albums and Rick Rubin is known for fundamentally changing bands, some better, some worse. A lot of what's going on in the minds of the LP team is that they want to continue being commercially successfully so they can keep a high profile label deal. I saw an article earlier this year where Chester said he hates Nu Metal, yet he plays in one of the most well-known formerly Nu Metal bands.
@TFRLIceman Well he also in another interview he stated that he didn't want to scream anymore. I don't know, it just depends on what they want to do. Your right about Electro-rock being popular right now. The album is not bad, it's just there's too much change for everyone to handle that fans even call them "Linkin Park". But it's going out nicely for them. =/
@PollyTheStupid I never said it was bad, it's just not my cup of tea. Just because I couldn't enjoy it to its fullest doesn't mean it's bad. Furthermore, I don't judge people's music, because it's their choice what to listen to, not mine. I like a lot of different music, ranging from Pelican to Soulja Boy to Kaskade to Fear Factory. I think with a different producer, Linkin Park will go closer to their original sound. As long as they have Rick Rubin, they'll sound like ATS or MTM.
@TFRLIceman They didnt sell out, Theyre new album isnt mainstream at all and hasnt been on the radio once in my area as far as I know. They're new stuff is definantly not mainstream, its just very different than what they usually produce
@Darkmonkey15 Brother, the electro-rock stuff is extremely popular right now...Think about all of the scene bands out there and how not different they sound from the new album. I consider it mainstream because of the style of the record, not it's airplay. They have a mainstream sound on A Thousdand Suns.
I listened to this song every day when I was in the 7th grade (now I'm in the 10th) I woke up early to go to school, like 6:30 in the morning, I brushed my teeth, dressed up, played this song and started walking to school, every morning and every evening I listened to this song, I was soooo addicted xD
Dry Cell sound like a mix between Linkin Park and Adema. And the lead singer would look more at home in the Backstreet Boys... That being said, this tune is awesome.
@GilliamHimself i know, wanted to see the official video and the front man was not what i expected.... heard this track on the Queen Of The Damned soundtrack and loved it !
@mighty12345678910111 There are some unofficial ones in the "Dry Cell Movie" here on youtube. They were filming an official one for Slip Away, but it was never finished.
@TFRLIceman I almost got an advance copy of Disconnected on eBay, but someone outbid me by two dollars about three minutes before I would've won. I should've paid attention.
You know thier song "I Confide?" If I were to burn a copy of Disconnected, should I include the demo OR the regular version of the song to it. I just cant decide which is better, cause I dig them both!
hey you can now buy the dry cell collectables over at amazing for 16 bucks note that This product is manufactured on demand using CD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply also you could get the disconnected abulm in this format too I own the disconnected abulm I just picked up the drycell collectables just thought I should let you guys know
amazon.com then just type in drycell the collection or collectables
awesome! somebody added a song called "linkin park - forget" (his voice actually sounds exactly like chesters but not the screaming) and i know its not lp but it sounds awesome and somebody said its dry cell... could somebody tell me if its dry cell and what song by them is it? cant find it...

So how'd you manage to get your hands on the jewel case version of Disconnected? I'd kill everyone within a 100 mile radius to get one.
BallsOfJericho 1 year ago
@BallsOfJericho Just being in the right place at the right time...It's also a signed copy.
TFRLIceman 1 year ago
@TFRLIceman Know where I can get one?
BallsOfJericho 1 year ago
@BallsOfJericho Pray that one shows up on ebay...Not to sound like a douchebag, but it's the truth, unfortunately.
TFRLIceman 1 year ago
@TFRLIceman I almost got an advance copy of Disconnected on eBay, but someone outbid me by two dollars about three minutes before I would've won. I should've paid attention.

i heard this song and loved it... but id never seen them before this... the singer looks exactly like i thought he would O_O XD

You know thier song "I Confide?" If I were to burn a copy of Disconnected, should I include the demo OR the regular version of the song to it. I just cant decide which is better, cause I dig them both!
