@metube698 I know your post is Old, but here I am looking at it now so Its new to Me: ANyWAy,,,, If he had stayed in that river at the depth he woud have needed to stay at to stay away from the dog, The current would have swept him away in minutes., ROUGH WATER = DEAD MAN in WATER .... Perhaps this guy already has been down river with the current? Now that is funny. MAybe this movie missed a rare chance at a nighttime river scene...? but we will never know. CONTINED:

I read somewhere that when filming the movie that dog was very sweet and all it took to get him that motivated was his chew toy lol.
