We adopted an abandoned bunny and did quite a bit of research to find the vet to fit his special needs (vs, our cat). I think videos such as this are very helpful and so needed in distinguishing a rabbit's special medical needs and pointing out some of the hazards with anesthesia and dealing with pain (although seeing more about rabbits and the detrimental effects of pain and fright on them would be useful as well). Thanks much!
Hey im thinking of having my male bunny neutered Im worried about the anesthetic though, I asked my vet what anesthetic they use and she said they sedate them with ketamine-diazepam and then gas with isoflurane. Does this sound safe? I noticed in this video only gas was used to sedate and maintain
No, he still has his leg. He limps some and can't spread his toes, but he still runs around, binkies, and jumps up on things. He's a happy bunny. :)
