  • I got my private in 01 and my instrument rating in 02. Maybe things have changed since then.

  • Yes, but not in the last 6 months.

  • Have you been to Monarch Air??

  • You should take an introductory flight. Check out Monarch Air at addison, (they have a website). Great people. They usually take you up and fly around north of Frisco. It's a great experience.

  • @AcePilot70 yes i knoe i have done my private at Monarch Air

  • Thanks for posting this! I have worked & lived less than a 1/2 mile from the Addison Airport and have always been curious about the plane's / pilot's perspective.

  • Addison has class B airspace just to it's west, and above it, so the pattern is usually to the east of the airport. You will have to contact approach with 10 miles of the airport. Regional approach will vector you to the general vecinity of the approach, and tell you what to expect when you get there, either a straigh in approach if you are on the approach end of the runway, or a downwind to the east of the airport.

Read your airport directory before heading out there.

  • does addison have a specific approach pattern?

  • @pilotnerd101 yes it does

  • @pilotnerd101 15 Left Pattern and 33 Right Pattern
