It says Jonah cried out from "Sheol" and can be translated the grave / afterlife, please refer to Jonah 2:2 . The Miracle is Christ dying on the cross and that He rose again on the third day. Without Christ rising from the dead there is no propitiation for sin and no way to be saved from sin such as lying , lusting and so on.

If Jesus was sinless it means he was follow God law and he didn't violate it. He was a perfect worshiper for God. If Jesus Was God how Can He Worship God?

Friday evening is not the only day that is a Sabbath. There are Sabbaths that occur during the Festivals.known as mow'eds or appointed times. One of these occurs on the 15th Nisan or the First day of the Festival of Unleavened bread. Jesus died on Thursday the 14th of Nisan. It was the Sabbath on the 15th that was approaching. Jesus was in grave Thu day, Fri day, Sat day, Thu night, Fri night, Sat night. 3 days and 3 nights just as scripture states.

just as Jonah was certainly destroyed by being swallowed by the big fish yet miraculously brought back after 3 days to proclaim the message of mercy, Jesus was swallowed up injudgment but brought back after three days with the message of deliverance. If you have read Luke 16:19-31 hells (Hades) or Sheol has two parts; (1) SAINTS. (2)DAMNED Acts 2:27 says Jesus went to Hell (Hades), wrong, he went to Sheol. How illogical is it to let Jesus himself tell you EXACTLY what the sign is? Can we not agree that Jesus would be the authority on what the sign was since he himself stated what the sign was?

A 'seed' can pass through the belly of any mammal including Man.
This principle is what many fruit bearing trees rely on to spread their seed.
Not only that, some (not all) require this to happen!
The seeds are designed for this! If they do not pass through the bellies of mammals,
their outer skins are not removed and cannot take root in good soil!

The sign is simply the time reference of 3 days & 3 nights.
Neither Matthew 12:39-40 or Jonah 1:17 say absolutely NOTHING about "death" or being alive. Jesus was simply referring to the "time" similarities.
The 'time" reference of Jonah in the belly of the whale will be the same for Jesus in the belly of the earth.
Whether either was dead or alive is NOT mentioned & immaterial.

Friday evening is not the only day that is a Sabbath. There are Sabbaths that occur during the Festivals.known as mow'eds or appointed times. One of these occurs on the 15th Nisan or the First day of the Festival of Unleavened bread. Jesus died on Thursday the 14th of Nisan. It was the Sabbath on the 15th that was approaching. Jesus was in grave Thu day, Fri day, Sat day, Thu night, Fri night, Sat night. 3 days and 3 nights just as scripture states.

just as Jonah was certainly destroyed by being swallowed by the big fish yet miraculously brought back after 3 days to proclaim the message of mercy, Jesus was swallowed up injudgment but brought back after three days with the message of deliverance. Why do Muslims wrestle so with the sign of Jonah? The sign of Jonah is not the story of Jonah and therefore Jesus is not comparing Himself to Jonah. Jonah's story is about resurrection of FAITH. Jonah faced "hell" (death in the Hebrew meaning). In Jesus Christ's entombment, this death is literal and the sign of Jonah (not the story of Jonah) is the MIRACLE of "resurrection". Miracles were intended to demonstrate what the word of God has said in the Holy Scriptures. The sign of Jonah is a demonstration of triumph over death.

How illogical is it to let Jesus himself tell you EXACTLY what the sign is? Can we not agree that Jesus would be the authority on what the sign was since he himself stated what the sign was?
