@TheGabriel997 Tibetan monks in Nepal are morely Nepali monks who believe in tibetan buddhism. You will find the same in Mongolia and Bhutan. Real tibetan monks are mostly in Tibet, Dharamsala -India where the Dalai lama recides or in South India-Mysore.

His Holiness's' cheerful attitude towards serious issues is an eye opener for me, reminding me not to take myself too seriously! There is a lesson here to learn from H.H. by example. It is a great "Secret" to living a happy life.

Do these possessions serve any useful purpose or is it just people making funny noises and wriggling around and stuff? And how do we know they are not just putting it on? If there's one thing I've learned during my time on this planet, it's that there are crazy people everywhere, which is why I'm skeptical on this.

@1simonmatthews I don't know if it's necessary to "conclude" anything about these types of cultures or rituals. It seems foreign to my "Western raised" brain, but I simply like informing myself of other people, other places.
I don't feel that I have to analyze and judge the validity of their traditions. They are what they are.
They probably perceive western culture as bizarre, alternatively. We slave our lives away for material possessions that really mean nothing in the larger universe.

@TheNeoamor Yeah I think it's good to learn about other cultures too. And I also think it's good to ask questions because it can further your learning process. Yes, Western culture is indeed very bizarre isn't it. I'd go further and say the whole world is bizarre, and not just amongst us humans. In general, everything seems to be trying to kill everything else, or gain dominance over everything else. It's been that way for millions of years, and I suppose it will always be. I don't like it.

This is the best documentary I have seen in ages, if not ever. SO much information on such a subtle topic. Handled SO respectfully but, about (1/3rd in?) there is the counter-point (starts at HIGH spiritualism and works down to lower to downright fraud) and the need to integrate with logic.
Fascinating look into the daily space of the Dalai Lama, to say NOTHING of seeing him in high ritual!
Even better to have him declare at the end that "the Oracle is just one more opinion."

buddhism is not the only religion that uses demonic possession.
in fact, there is only one religion that identifies demons as they really are and equips man for spiritual battle, and that would be islam in its pure form as practiced by the Prophet and his followers.
even the demons of christian depictions are not actual demons, but something else. and in many a religion demons are portrayed as angels.

@huntercd my friend you need to know believing is not enough: most of the teaching of prophet Mohammad has been changed by his followers and the proof of it is the war of crusades, the war was for 3 reasons, to give back the land to Jews and killed any masons they found with their family and forced the change of teachings of Mohammad, or else they promised 1000 years of wars. remember Christians and crusades are not the same even that they were all under the order of Vatican

@huntercd besides the devil as they tell you about it does not exist it's just to scare people so to obey, there are dark spirits or lost ones, and Christians = Christ and crusades = crucify as crucifying Emmanuel aka Jesus, don't mix them both, they adopted the teachings of Emmanuel and twisted it but they can't adopt both of Mohammad and Emmanuel that will cause problem so they forced to change.

I also noticed the word God was said maybe twice when Christianity was mentioned. Jesus was a no show. Buddhist followers seem to find them rather than the all out recruitment drives of god based religions. Spirituality is a natural thing, and anything possible in nature is possible in science. God is a non-factor in both. It's like a fucking cancer. LOL!

I hate religion and everything it stands for. BUT I don't think Buddhism is a religion. It's spirituality and nature based. A lot like the beliefs of a lot of North American native people, but here those were squashed under the oppressive boot heels of Euro-religions. God is a parasitic belief system that leeches off spirituality and tells their followers NOT to reach their potential, but to GIVE it to their god and let the church tell them what to think & how to be human. So, no Buddhist rant.

While i dont believe totally in buddhism, I agree it is the most peaceful out of all the religions.
Some of the teachings are silly yes but overall, its practitioners are kind and very wise. I have learnt a great deal from buddhism.

I'm an Atheist, but I still have a soul no matter how much religion tries to tell me I don't deserve it for not thinking like them. ...I still don't think Buddhism is a religion, but more a way of life. I have no bad feelings towards the beliefs. It's the god based crap that pisses the fly off the toilet seat. Haha!

Lobsang Rampa and found out the things they can do i couldn't put down his books after started reading which in total of 19 books, yes they have some silly things, but believe me it's more effective that you can imagine, now I'm practicing the same thing they can do and it really works, if there's any interesting people on this planet that will be the Tibetan people specially the lamas

xyz112358132134 -Look up Vipassa Centres where you are they are a really great way to start to learn the practice of meditation and they operate on volunteers and donations.Although the first course is 2 weeks it is very beneficial to understand meditation.

Interesting but I can't believe how much the west and westerners are taken in by this and they call Islam as mumbo jumbo. This is posession of body by Jinn as explained in Islam. I remember some western girl at work taking a day off to go visit some function of theres and I thought to myself if u just paid this amount of attention on Prophet Muhamad and Islam then this Dalai Lama u would discover real greatness of gods work.

There is evidence for muhamad that people find hard to un earth about earlier prophets eg landmarks & marked point where certain things said actually happend. There is alot of evidence for Islam I always said if we had al this amount of information about other prophets It would make things easier & history more correct

@BobbyDeniroX All the evidence are available in Vatican library a size of 47 km/sq, what ever you can imagine you can find it there, but the question is "will they allow anybody to know and on top of that allow to tell the people", it's been told that back in 40's some Jews found the scrolls of dead sea, and it was written by the truth teller who lived some 150 years before Emmanuel, but when the Vatican knew about it they've put their hands on it and didn't allow it to be reviled.

Its easy to fall into the trap of being amazed at how advanced humans have become, but in reality we've barely even scratched the surface of our capabilities. We don't even know what consciousness is yet. Maybe if this is answered we'll transcend our dominate activity that has plagued us from the beginning: tribal warfare...I bet its rare among intelligent civilizations on other planets to be as lopsided as we are in the physical vs spiritual realms, its a little embarrassing actually...
