Such a talent, the A & M albums were a dramatic musical jump from the Elektra albums but yet managed to preserve their intensity, feeling and commitment.
I agree and if they do, will you please pass it along my way...but until that day comes, I can't even tell you how much I appreciate finding this and thank you so much for the post pops on the record and all.
In the video response I submitted, pay particular attention to two men standing behing two Dallas Police Officers ( 1 minute 31 seconds) one of the men is Phil Ochs legendary folk singer who was sent to Dallas as an observer. There is another You Tube video called TEXAS SCHOOL BOOK DEPOSITORY that will support this film. Phil Ochs was later found dead of an apparent hanging suicide. I wonder.....
I just put this up temporarily until someone puts up a better version with better audio. I used my little ghetto camera. It's a great tune, wish someone would post the faster (live?) version too.
Yes. Penn has been talking with Och's daughter for years now about the possibility of turning his life into a film. Penn looks a bit like him, specially older Phil. I'd be right behind you in the line!
Great album. Phil wrote anthems...and we loved them.

The Squirrel Bait cover is my favorite song on Skag Heaven, and the original right here is also excellent in a completely different way

Is Sean Penn considering a film about Phil Ochs?
I'd be first in line to see it.
