  • Topixautographs you dont deserve any autographs of anyone , you make a living off of their generosity , and name. You even on this site advertise your site where you sign the stuff they sign for you.

I work in the music buisness and seen people like you ask for autographs in repeated cities one after the other . no wonder why stars are quitting signing items its because of maggots like you who make a liveing off of the items you get signed, why should any star sign anything for you

  • Who the hell would want an autograph from Alan Alda?

  • @lighthouse44 Alan Alda, perhaps?

  • @lighthouse44 Maybe the millions of viewers around the world he still watch MASH till this day even after it stopped airing in 1983 and for a long period of time held the record for the most viewers to watch the final episode on TV.

  • @lighthouse44 - Me., and a million other fans of MASH...

  • I can't stand Alan Alda but it must be awful to live your life where everywhere you go, you get bombarded with cameras, autograph seekers and people who want to make you look bad by getting in your face and filming it. I feel sorry for these people. I still had Alda but he has a right to go about his business and not be bothered for crying out loud

  • I think that people need to stop saying mean things about him. I think that he is an awesome actor. He just like every person has the right to do and say what they want. If he chooses not to sign an autograph then so be it. It doesn't mean that he is a terrible person or actor. That is my opinion.

  • Washed up liberal jerk off.

  • I have heard that he simply doesn't see the point in signing an autograph, and is not trying to be rude. He has always been of this opinion.

  • He wasn't even a little bit rude about it. People don't always have time to stop for every nut who wants to chat or get an autograph. I see absolutely nothing wrong with how he handled that. Toppix Autographs, you suck.

  • He signed a yellow squash for me in a supermarket and laughed his ass off.

  • this is only hawkeye passing on a cheezy date as he goes to "choppers." he'll meet ya in the swamp later.

  • He apologised - thats not rude.

  • I'm going to guess he probably recognized you guys, especially given your "always a pleasure, sir" comment. He would probably sign for a real, individual fan. But, then again, he might not. It's his choice.

  • alda did the right thing by walking past her. he probably sensed she was someone to avoid as she says. "always a pleasure" sarcastically

  • What is rude is jumping in front of somebody when they are trying to walk down the street.

  • Maybe he had to swill some gin.

  • maybe he had a river of liver & an ocean of fish

  • I guess people don't know he NEVER signs autographs....hes always said that...

  • @sk8er4ever0101 I can understand that. But WTF, doesn't he know by now that he should sign autographs. Hey, if you want to get in the biz, sign autographs. By the way, my late uncle was a celebrity, and he did sign every autograph he could.

  • @rock853okg but any he did do would be invaluable especially from him not saying it is for his own benifit

  • @rock853okg Alan was never one to give autographs. He was like that back in the 70's.

If you ever get him to sign you are very lucky. Still a great actor though.

  • fuck the autograph you were right next to him lol. thats awesome

  • So what? He had to be somewhere!

  • I dunno what's dummer, retards asking for autographs or the saps who give them.

  • Oh, please. Why would anyone want Alda's autograph, let alone bother to film him.

  • I would have asked him for a quick joke. Preferably MASH-related.

  • Just listen to him talk in interviews he is the most stuck up, know it all wannabe ever.

  • still a dick since 1981

  • All business.

  • I still like him.

  • Im happy to say I have a framed auto graph of Alan Alda.

  • Isn't it a law in New York that you don't ask celebrities for autographs when they're walking?

  • Check out the interview he did with Larry King... OR even check out the recent Larry King Johnny Depp special to find out why Alda refuses to sign Autos.

  • After looking at the description I think I figured out why you were so upset that he didn't autograph whatever it is that you wanted autographed. You were probably just going to sell it. Weren't you, Toppix Autographs?

  • @JohnnyDavidson90 Yes and he probably knew who you were too, Toppix Autographs. Quite a nice little ploy you have to make everyone think Alan Alda is such a dick for not signing autographs.

  • I met him once he is an asshole

  • @merks1 why do you say that?he was rude to you when you asked him for a n auto?

  • too busy to sign an autograph?

too busy to watch the old has been.

  • I got to walk fast -- that is not rude at all.

  • He's an arrogant conceited piss-ant.

  • tight ass Jew's !! just give him $5 bucks first and you'll have a deal

  • @frankiev1231 he's Italian!!!!!!

  • @frankiev1231 Hes not even jewish

  • At least he explained he was in a hurry. I once had a "has been" star sauntering up the street inches from me and I said hello, and he didn't even acknowledge that I was there. I can understand their being in a hurry, but to be deliberately rude where strangers in this town say hello to each other-we keep walking but we do manage a pleasantry once in a while. No harm in that. He was from this town for God's sake and should understand the norm! At least you got an explanation.

  • why would you be recording this anyway? kind of a waste of your time don't you think?

  • in retrospect he was a mediocre actor.

  • @how50 he is not a mediocre actor he was on Broadway for many years and was very successful

  • fyi: alan alda has NEVER been one to sign autographs....but he offers a handshake instead...i think it's a classy move on his part

  • @davesmuse I think I would rather have a handshake or a simple THANK YOU from a Star ,if I complement them. Most autographs I get I never really look at them too long b4 I put them in a drawer and keep them there for years.

  • he's recentlly for several years been a real dick with people

  • More importantly, who the hell wants an autograph from Alan Alda????

  • @dannyd1572 This was a man who could truly act. You're prolly too young to even remember him.Try watching him in other movies he starred in.You might enjoy it.Not everything good is done by CGI and there was such a thing as a story and plot back in the day.His movies are way better than the crap they make today, that's for sure!!

  • @FeanorLives Are you kidding? I'm a child of teh 70's- I've seen plenty of Alan Alda's movies and grew up in the MASH era so yes....I'm pretty familiar with his movies. What is CGI? And yes, there used to be stories and plots to movies...but that was lost after the 80's. Movies have no substance now.

  • @dannyd1572 CGI is computer-generated imagery. A wonderful tool but no substiture for acting talent and strong plots. IMO.

  • too me it looked like he had the runn,s and had to find a toilet fast,,,,,,,befor he shit his pants....

  • At least he apologised and looked like he was in a rush. Doesn't look like he was 'refusing' in a typical celebrity 'jack-ass' manner.

  • Exactly where is the part where you asked to have an autograph signed? You only managed to annoy him and me. Idiot.

  • alan who? fuck alan. the man who ruined MASH

  • @doberfag You're an idiot!! You prolly think Tom Greene is a good actor lol.Douchebag!!

  • even if he wasnt really in a hurry - he did it in a way that wasnt really rude. he did it in a way so he didnt have to be rude. but think about it - would would you want to be stopped by everyone you pass?

  • He was clearly in a hurry & wasn't being rude. Why does toppixautographs make every celebrity out to be an ass?

  • Well... who would give an autograph to someone who talks like he has a smurf up his bat cave....

  • Justin Bieber is Nicer

  • I wouldn't either. Why give you an autograph just so you can sell it? He'd probably stop for a real fan, but you're just asking for him to give you money.

  • I don't know what all the fuss is about.Alan Alda politely declined and that's it.Too many ignorant people out there think that celebrities should stop on a dime because they feel they're obligated to the fans. They're only public property to a certain extent.

  • He didn't refuse to sign autographs, he just said he had to keep going. He is a busy man.

  • Shit, I wouldn't have recognized him anyway...

  • He was a perfect gentleman

  • I've never given a crap about autographs myself.

  • He was clearly running late.

I am sure if he had the time, he would have signed.

Besides, nobody technically asked him to sign.

You are unfairly trying to portray him as a jerk.

You should change the title of this to "Alan Alda running late."

  • poor bastards. a 9 sec video about alan not wanting to sing an autograf because he was in a hurry. get a life

  • Yep looked like he was in a rush nothing rude

  • Seems you're a bit upset he didnt stop to autograph something so you could sell it on ebay.

  • Alda's standard line when asked for an autograph has, for many years, been "Giving an autograph is demeaning to the person who asks for it and I will not demean you." You can take it as condescending and sanctimonious but I do see his point. Why on earth do people want these things?

  • @jzbass72 My feelings exactly! All they do with them these days is sell them to someone else.

  • Why the hell do people even want a piece of paper with someone's name scribbled on it? Does it make them better than other people? Does it bring fame and wealth? Will you forget all about meeting or seeing a celebrity without it? I mean, honestly people. Get a frickin' life.

  • @Kaalec : Actually, autographs are worth money...

  • It wasn't rude, he was in a hurry, that's all.

  • oh c'mon i don't think so, i just hate Eddie Murphy that's all.

  • oh c'mon i don't think so, i just hate Eddie Murphy that's all.

  • Yes i am in certain way but where i 'm living it's something usual.

  • autographs are anachronistic anyway. it this digital age i'm not surprised if everyone refuses to do it now. this video is a cheap shot!

  • I used to live in the city (NYC) in the late eighties, when i was walkin'some night near Times Square and a black guy approached to me and sayin' Tom Hanks Tom Hanks!!!!

  • @myryckyz you're a racist!!

  • let me tell ya i asked for an autograph once Jackson Browne in the middle of the Central Park in New York. he was walkin' with Daryll Hanna who i ignored well, i was the only one who ask him so he was very accesible to me. maybe if there would be ten more people the thing was different.

  • can you imagine how many times a camera's stuck in some famous person's face a day? Probably a lot, right? So, really, can you blame them for not bending to your every need? they've got stuff to do too.

  • Fuck you, Hawkeye.

  • Throw a rock at him

  • he was in a rush. he didnt refuse he said sorry he couldnt sign.

  • He wasn't rude. Ogden Stiers, Winchester, is the one who doesn't sign.

  • alan aldas great. Im glad he dissed you with good right. Had a chance to meet two of the mash cast. I can say go to signing when they have the time to do this and stop being an ass.

I got a chance to meet Kirk Douglas whose very old now and I was very pissed when a person out for money kept pestering the old man to sign a spartacus poster just as he was leaving. You remind me of this person.

  • The video poster sells autographs on his/her site.

Don't be a jackass and diss the celebrity that you are looking to make a buck on!

He wasn't rude. You are for posting this to make him look bad.

  • Does it matter? Hockey Players are known to only sign for kids because there is a high chance that adults will just sell the auto right away. Judging by the name of the poster of this video I assume that they were just going to sell it anyway. Celebrities and athletes are really good at sniffing out dealers from people that really want it

  • @Safranverre its like a scar.. a tangable reminder that an event has indeed taken place.. like meeting a celebrity..

  • i don't feel offended by that....

  • He really didn't come off as rude but he seemed harried. Maybe he had a tight itinerary and really couldn't stop.

You've gotta remember, too, that celebrities are people, too, and some would like to hold on to some privacy, minute it may be.

  • @alwrig Yep.

  • Fans or dealers? There IS a difference.

  • Why must they give you their autograph? It is their right not to...

  • we can't seriously judge them, imo.... sometimes it looks rude, and it's fun to kind of joke about it... but someone like this, whos' been a celeb for 40 some years.... maybe he's had enough bad experiences with obnoxious fans that he's just kind of over it.... and there are some celebs i'm sure who sincerely just don't believe in giving autographs... or have just reached that point over the years. you never know their perspective on it.

  • Yea I believe he made the top ten worst signers list a year or so ago. This was pretty laid back situation as well only him and one other walking down the street
