Hey Fellas, If you watch enough videos of Chicago working, and learn from them, one day you too might be able to call yourself a real fireman. Until then, I would hold your comments if I were you...just shows the lack of balls and pride in the way you do your job.
@SuperTruckman1 Wait what. So if I don't watch how Chicago fights fires and fight how i was trained, then I'm not a real fireman?
However I'm sure you comment was directed at a few comments below which i didnt care to read. I think they did a damn good job, even more so on the second floor with those heavy smoke conditions! Thats no easy task for any interior crew! Then think about them having to do it with the old styel gear (long coat no bunkers), I respect them for that alone!
A few less guys walking about smashing windows and a few more guys with water to douse the fire I might, just might, think those guys knew what they were doing
@Norfolkscot Haha so basically you are basing your opinion off of a video where there IS ONE CAMERA ANGLE OF THE HOUSE, THE FRONT DOOR ISNT EVEN SHOW IN THE VIDEO you are seeing just a small portion so keep your comments to yourself..chief

That roof crew was taking a big chance up there. No mask. Roof self vented. Putting water down that vent hole.
Not a MM QB just thinking safety.

so before cfd had bunker gear you would just have boots to wear inside a structure fire besides the turnout coat?? if so that nuts

@beranek57 --You ever had to wear full turnouts in July into a fire? 3/4s and long coats are a lot of relief...

@Rwpfire72 Not in july, but I have in august.. Thats when it's the hottest here in iowa. But I can see what you mean by that..
