i reccomend first to take the keyguard completely off and the next part is just wait because its probably just trying to connect to the network. when it does that, you wont feel/hear the phone getting a message or phone call. hope this helps out.

You should do it about once a day, it will only take a total of one minute or so if you can be without your phone that long. There is no way to get the web and catalog without paying for it, the danger company that the sidekick is run by has everything on lock so there is no way around getting stuff free at all.

The soft reset keeps all of your data fresh because its pretty much like a mini computer except you can talk on it. but as from what i am reading your phone is really messed up and doing the soft reset now is too late now. its not gonna fix any problems only prevent them.

About the download catalog, that has to do with the actual t-mobile problem. you will have to contact them to show special attention to your device so it will work properly.

ok, the soft reset isnt gonna fix any problems at all. it can only help prevent them if you understand what i mean. thats why you do it everyday so you wont have problems. but your problems have nothing to do with the actual data its self so doing the soft reset isnt doing anything really.

but the ringtone on the message is because you probably have it set to "10 minutes" so it will let you know that you got a new message 10 minutes afterr! you can change it to "2 minutes"  and it will ring every 2 minutes or vibrate...i heard that you need internet so it can ring or vibe. right when you get it!
