  • is tis for real??

  • Well if i want to go to Canada im driving my snowmobile over lake Erie =P

  • have the full video of this! so cool! they started out as three of them! god loves the bay!!

  • did you know, Snowmobiles dont have much boyancy but the air at those speeds goes under like a catamaran(not quite) but more than any jetski! and they have more power also, but they arent very efficient, its just like powder snow, but really thick DRYDRYDRY powder,, you stop n' your dead. i'd rather have a 0 boyance sled with over 800cc and 2'½ of rubber on my track

  • This georgian bay Honey harbour, ontario

  • what type of sled are these

  • @unholy754 Polaris XCR 800

  • Where is this?

  • woooo!! from the birthplace of polaris industries (roseau, minnesota)

    POLARIS 4 LIFE!!

  • I suppose they should make those things float due to global warming.

  • @rhoadess The Howe brothers on Howe and Howe Tech did that... or at least tried anyway.

  • Ya. you crazy!!!!!!!!!! but we LIKe IT!!

  • Also b4 you get to the ice edge you give it more throttle. This is why you cant run it at full throttle the entire way. They arent going really fast. it just looks fast because their is nothing to compare it too. They arent racing the helicopter. Its the helicopter thats filming this.

  • When you come to the ice edge, you shift your weight to the back. This puts less weight on the skis. This also angles the track so the front of the track is higher up.

  • what brand are they riding?

like what kind of snowmobile, are they riding?

  • Awesome vid, really enjoyed it! No need for a seadoo! How was it going from water to ice and I'd be worried about hitting a ice ledge at that speed!

  • Cool vid! & trust me, it's real. Me & a buddy use to do this on Georgian Bay near Parry Sound. Ont. in mid April. I ran a 99 Mach Z and him a 98. We were'nt fortunate enough to have a chopper follow us. We'd run 1/4 -1/2 throttle (60-70 mph) ... don't want to run wide open as more chance of blowing a belt or create other problem and you want reserve power. Transition from water to ice is smooth as ice is nearly melted & barely floating. We'd have been in big trouble if sunk ... not too bright:)

  • was that filmed in honey harbour ?

  • whats with the jet powered title, its just a peice of shit polaris

  • lets see ..you like anchors (yamaha) thats a KNOWN fact ..they sink ..jet powered ..no but fast? they all are ...but "peice of shit" ?if you have the NUTs to do this which you dont ! what would you drive ..obvious that THESE RIDERS chose POLARIS,,and they would trust something else ????

  • No i ride the best. And ive been there and done that already. And i can do it slow to.

  • @MrThefactis , Now you can understand the April Fools, They arent jet powered.

  • It is possible. JP Walker went across a lake on a snowmobile. As long as you rev it up and keep the nose up.

  • thats sick i want to do that but i bet i would sick it

  • Gotta love photoshop... X0

  • ya to bad it dont work with videos

  • this confuses me, all the videos like this say april fools but this is completely possible???!!!????!!!!!

  • i dont want to sound like a dick or any thing but they can ovb do this iv acculey done it many times and u just half to be going fast enough

  • ik, i have to, ive seen it in person

  • April fools is for jet powered. I have a 600 RMK Polaris and I go across a lake.Depends on gross weight how fast you need to go. The water cant be choppy, and straight lines or real wide turns to keep from sinkin.

  • How fast were they going ?

  • I met the ppl that did this they did it just out front of my house on georgian bay.

  • would it be a bad time to run out of gas? XD

  • Southern Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada.

    Stock Polaris sleds.

  • Bombardier is a great engine. That is what I have in my 582 weight shift trike from Airborne.I was going to get the 912 but it was out of my price range at the time. For a sport pilot I prefer Bombardier engines

  • The "April Fools" part is referring to "jet powered". What makes you think this is fake? By the way, I absolutely love both my Ski-Doo and my Sea-Doo made by Bombarier.

  • ok, Bombarier? what the fuck is a bomb a rier?? and ski doo's are good and sea doo's are for pussy's get a jet ski. snd learn to sple... is dat 2 had for u?

  • Apparently it is difficult for you...

  • what is peckerhead?

  • Noticing the obvious.

  • Ok honda fucker or whatever your name is. First of all, all rotax engines are good. second of all, rotax hulls so much ass. 3rd of all you have a stick up your ass. And finaly forth of all you are a fagitron

  • @timmy0515 bud, i never said anything about rotax you fucking retard. what do you think my sleds are hmm? and i have a stick up my ass? the problem is simply your a virgin or a small child, Fucking InterNet tough guy. and dont reply you are already wasting my time with your nonsense comments.

  • lmao

  • Are you seriously fucked up in you're head? I laughed so hard when i read you're "snd learn to sple... is dat 2 had for u?" Apparently you got some issues kid.

  • get some videos and then we'll talk k?

  • No need.

  • Holy hellfire. Imagine if that ice was just a little taller and they caught a little air and landed at that speed. Could be devistating lol. Canst thou say ragdoll?

  • I was just thinking the same exact thing

  • dude thats gotta be the biggest adrenline rush ever

  • Where is this filmed at

  • Yes they can, I went across 100 feet of water on a 600. These are 800s They have more power and speed so they can cross longer distances of water

  • No not a jet its on water and its a stock 800xc

  • Comment removed

  • wow i could do this it not hard its the sled that dos all the work

  • can u imagine if the skis got cought under the ice!

  • That is why the guy stood up and put his weight on the back to pick the front of the skis up,so they wouldnt.

  • Watch him starting at the 1:00 mark

  • that looks fun

  • that was a long ass ride on the water. its hard to tell how fast they are going, probably around 80mph. i just wouldnt want the motor to blow up from going so fast for so long.

  • dude.. the sleds sitting in cold water, its not gonna blow up any time soon

  • im not saying it will over heat. im saying that extended periods of time of wide open throttle can blow up the motor.

any engine will fail eventually if held at high RPMs for a long time.

  • But its May 3rd..

  • what lake is this?

  • It's not a lake....it's Georgian Bay....

  • dude u must be over reacting i know these guys rob weber and frank ,their part of their april fools videos and they only go up to 70 m/ph ..... not super fast

  • whats wrong with iowa? we ride on water here!

  • nice vid i will be posting one goin across the great south bay, long island this year cant wait

  • omg i would love to try this

  • that would be scary to drive on water

  • it's not really, if you have enough track speed, it's quite easy to drive straight. it's turning that's the bitch. haha

  • Shut up. You know it all, half wit fuck. Any clean running snowmobile that has deep lugs can run all over on water. You better not try it though... On second thought, why don't you give it a whirl. In your car maybe?

  • Sound Garden whos lead singer is now audioslave.

  • whats the song

  • cochise by audioslave

  • you know its not jet powered...cause he wouldnt be able to stay up in the water.. cause the track wouldnt be spinning..

  • theoretically, it could be done. a turbine snowmobile would be similar to how some helicopters are able to provide angular momentum to their blades from a turbine engine.

  • dude how is this sped up?

  • my buddy trid that on a 2008 yamaha apex turbo and he sank

  • @thorfoxanser too heavy

  • @thorfoxanser

because the apex weighs 575 pounds and the polaris weighs about 490 XD

thats like almost 100 pounds more so forsure it would sink.

& i have a polaris edge x 800 and my buddy has a yamaha apex 1000 and i jump over the drifts and everything while he ploughs through him like crazy.

stupid yamaha wrecking the purpose of snowmobiling with their 4 strokes :P

  • that is one sick trip

  • That was crazy!

  • just made my day

  • that would be funny if he crashed

  • imagine if the skis hooked under the ice.

that would suck for the driver

  • @jfortin72

    He wouldn't even notice

  • polaris blood it's real try it!

  • A jet snowmobile? Lol! Thats normal sleds!

  • Wild man! Come visit me for your graphics. I'll set you up ,)

  • i have done this before not for as long but maybe 100 yards or so i know it can be done just hope you don't run out of gas lol

  • because it was april maybe/

  • its the month when the lakes thaw and open up

  • and wtf am i surpost to see at the end of thea wakes?

  • I was in amazement until I realized that the video was fake, computer modified. Just look at the very end of the wakes tail.

  • its real mr computer graphic designer

  • Sorry dumbass...I know the guys that made this vid. It's real.

    Ever heard of watercross??

  • not fake, grow some nuts and try water skipping, it's a rush

  • aika pitkä matka kelkalla veden päällä

  • Horsepower Profiles. Com

    Brag A Little

  • they really dont go that fast...just gott keep your speed....if u let go of the throtle your done.....ive done this before but not the this extreme

  • thats what i call puddle jumping :D

  • the one sled is a xcr 800 polaris

  • That was awesome...

Anyone know if a thundercat is too heavy to ride on water?

  • if you have the speed nothing is too heavy

  • nice!!!!!

  • wow thats not a jet powerd sled ur just riding on water and may i add that isnt hard eather

  • true ...but. there are goin damn fast, those sled must be hopped up to the max to maintain that speed on water

  • Pfft. You probably ride in puddles.

These guys just ripped across a fucking lake without going under 120.

  • thats like my sled 2000 polaris xcr 800 tripple

  • coolest video ever! and you can't beat audio slave either. :P

  • I think the record is almost 7 miles that a snowmobile went across a lake.

  • the record is 103 miles

  • I;m a big sled head and this shit is righton

  • FOR THE RECORD : snomobiles can do this but not as mutch as there (showing) sorry guys....holy shi* i know what lake that is 2

  • how fackin fast are these guys goin like seriously they are like goin like mach a million

  • mach 1,000,000 would rip you apart een before you reched it

  • Hell you wouldnt even survive mach 10 on a damn snowmobile which is what 7000 mph

  • awesome i Would Give Anything to try that some day

Thats Just 2 Extreme and a Extreme sporter like me must try that...

that is some heavy shit man

Ps. some one know what the song is

  • "Cochise" by Audioslave

  • Smooth water is key. My good Ol' Mach Z '06 w/ 2" lugs is nice on water crossing.

  • FUCK YAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

  • Sweeet, would'nt want to hit a nasty ice heave at that speed! COOL VID!

  • you can steer you lean one way and steer the other your lwean direction is where you go dont try it at home or just dontbalme me if you fuck up :P

  • Prety cool I ride an xcr 600 in the Cape Bretton highlands Nova Scotia .Good show.

  • haha i laugh how people fight over sleds i mean most people say if it runs ride it but i do own a cat my dad has a polaris

  • that would take bulls

  • I can run faster, but thats still pretty fast

  • not that long

  • i love how everyone who has a cat loves to talk shit but when it comes down to it any ski doo rider just laughs now at how there riding there gass guzzling heavy cats while we ride our 400lb xp's that are just as fast

  • lol..you dont know anything about sleds...

yours is faster so its better....

    haha..what r u 12?

  • HE'S ON FUCKING WATER!!

  • My Cat eats polaris and sh!ts ski doo.

And remember... If it Ain't a Cat, its a dog.

  • how thick is the ice they r driveing on? and wouldnt it be hard going from water to ice? isnt there a ridge or something?

  • Let me guess you drive an arctic crap?

  • hahaha omg u r soooo funny!!! wat a great pun making about the superior arctic cat! wow that was a great joke and they sound so similar...arctic cat arctic crap arctic cat arctic crap amazing!!

  • what sled do you ride? what year?

  • 2005 firecat 500....450lbs dry ...105 hp

  • weak....

  • im 14 so its not so weak for me jackass

  • im 14 so its not so weak for me jackass

  • lol i am 12 i got a 01' edge xc 600

  • and my sled would still would ur ass

  • it would what my ass???

  • it would what my ass???

  • kick..it was a typo

  • 12 yrs. old , 94 polaris indy classic 500, electric start and reverse

  • cant even pull start ur sled?

  • i can but hwy not have electric it good for diching ur friends and saying come over here i shut off i dont know whats happening but then u start it quick and take off and they have to pull start there sled

  • yeah, but to pull start looks so much cooler

  • having the engin off then sudenly on and a cloud of powder behind you hitting your friends looks cooler

  • electric start is for weak pussy's!

and you have it on a 500?! xD

i bet your 500 don't even lift the snow off the ground when you try to do that!

  • sperior hahaha, and it was a simple pun man chill out, i wasnt trying to make a stand up act jeeze...

  • great video that would really get the adrenaline pumping knowing that if you lost power you'd sink

  • A1+

  • jeez i knew it was cochise, i don't know why I posted that comment before...i don't even remember it.

  • It's "Cochise" by Audislave

  • it just hydroplanes acrosed it my atv can do it

  • how did this thing float?

  • They don't float at all. But with enough track spin and enough momentum they do just fine on the water. But without momentum...they sink...to the bottom. lol not good

  • amazing thing is alot of ppl think these things float, well they dont!! have to be going fast to not break the surface tension of the water and go under

  • well maybe not all snowmobiles kan do it but i'ce heard the engine has to be at least 600 cc or something....maybe an engine with less cc can make it too with higher speed

  • u can hold it at 3/4 and still skip perfect ive dun it. me and my dad got skippin sleds cuz we do it in the summer for turnys.

  • The SONG is "Cochise" by Audioslave, for all those who've been asking and getting wrong answers. :)

  • well realy you only need 40km to do open water and you dont have to be a fool to ride in april if you make millions a year like these guys and have helicoppers and differnt sleds at your dissposile do whatever you want in my oppion

  • my bravo does 40 km and nearly sinks instantly! you need to be doing more than 60km to stay on top

  • depending on the displacement of the sled isnt a broze an 250 long track ??

  • yes it is and even a 700 doing 40km will still skip water but will lose momentum and soon sink but best to be doin 60 or more km :)

  • the size of then engine was not what i ment the fact that its a long track you need more speed if your tapped and you only going 40 then you gona sink but my cousin has a 340 inticer ( or however you spell it) and ive seen him do opening water at 40 but he had to gun it when he hit more ice to get across the other side but then again it wasnt a far distance

  • i dont care what you all say that is awsome what would you need a jetski for.that is rippin it must be a hell of a bump when you come a cross the next ice tips up later.

  • your a moron hutchjeff.. do you live under a rock! i know these guys, it's filmed in Muskoka, On Canada

  • Canada. It really looks similar to the Archipelago that we have in Sweden!

I really would like som specefications from that ride!

  • lol are you kidding me you moron they left peterson park midland ontario thats georgian bay, yes the guy is rich no he doesnt own the helicopter, he hires them and he make a movie every year but hes not making one this year because the movies arent even paying for themselves, he doesnt have a million sleds to distroy either, he had moded all three of the sleds in the video, my dad went to school with the kid, at mss,, MIDLAND SECONDARY SCHOOL, in MIDLAND,

  • its two fools in april and what the hell do they have under the cab to keep them sleds a full throttle for that long?

  • whats with the april fools it is obviously not real

  • Wow! c'est super ca!!!!! I would like to try this!
