What good is 1-10? Come on, at least go to 20 because as you know that will give you a solid grasp of how numbers are put together. 1-20, then 30, 40, 50 etc.
Yes, it somehow is. In the middle ages, the Dutch language also had what we call 'naamvallen(the Germans still have 'naamvallen'). This actually means that if you say different senteces, you pronounse it diffrent. Example: In German, 'my father' is 'mein Vatter'. 'My father's house' in Geman is 'meines Vatters Haus'. I'm from Holland, at school we learn Dutch, English, French and German. At some school you can also take Spanish lessons. Just a little background information ;)
@Maidenfairy12 Its similar, but that doesnt mean its like German. All Scandinavian languages are also similar, doesnt mean that if you speak Dutch you can speak German. Both languages are very different, its only similar with some grammatic and some of the words are the same or you could recognize them :)
@NorwichMusicMan This vid is especially made for Mikafans. (Though non-fans are also allowed to watch it of course and learn!=)). That's why you see that bloke. The intro is longer because of the song. It wouldn't sound nice if I stopped it right after 10 secs.
I can understand your irritation. I hope you find another good video on youtube. I'm sure there will be one =)
@theawesomesausage i am dutch and ive bin told a thousand times we have a pretty awesome language
the germanic thing
i love it :D
ohyeah and most dutch can speak german english and french some even spanish aswel dutch people are the most advanced in speaking languages in the world perhaps
@XVCnickski Yeah, it isn't a mixture, but the language is pretty easy to learn anyway (someone I know said that). I'm getting into Russian and currently learning German at school. It's not that heard to understand the grammar, but harder remember if you're going to talk fluently :/
@LLover3 Not sure which of the three songs you're talking about. So I'll mention them all. The first one is love today, 2nd is relax take it easy and 3rd one is grace kelly. All three are from MIKA.
I live in enkhuizen (north holland, against the houtribdijk) where we speak more like 1. eun 2. twee 3.derie 4.vie (no R) 5. voif 6. ses 7. zeuven 8.acht 9.neugen 10.tien
So you think that if I go on pronouncing "r" in a french or german way, like "g", NOT a spanish "r" (that is pronounced with the tip of the tongue) that would not be a fatal mistake?"
it really depends on the accent :p, there are a lot of different ones; 10 kilometers can really change the pronounciations ;) but indeed the v seems to change to an f unless its in a word like volvo where it is more like folwo
And along with "v" I have one more problem - letter "r". Here it's pronounced in a french way, almost like the Dutch "g", but many Dutchmen pronounce it with the tip of the toung, like a spanish "r". Bizarre.
It depends on where you are in holland... If you mean many Dutchmen in the east then its really different than from the North, I have lived in the west where they speak the official Dutch (in Haarlem) and now I live in the north where it is more farmerDutch :P and they all pronounce differently
@taneeke ja taneeke maar belgen zijn over het algemeen degene met een afwijkende uitspraak. Maar ik geef toe deze Nederlander spreekt heel raar Nederlands.
omg lol!! i love how you combined mika and counting in dutch!! lol i totally was NOT expecting the mika slideshows inbetween!! lol i loved it!! many thanks from one Mikafan to another!!

not at all. a french r you have to roll your tongue, its pretty mutch the same has english
Soccerfanjj 2 years ago
The r in French is from the back of the throat. It's in Italian and Spanish that it's on the tongue.

i have a doubt: in dutch all words that start with "v" has the "f" sound, just like in German?
ty!

No that's just because of her accent. There are people who just prononce the "v" as a "v".
