Ever watch CSPAN? Most congressional speeches are blatently and embarassingly partison. Quite unwatchable. And the room is usually empty. It seems they just talk to themselves for the record.

British Parliament they actually show back and forth dialog/debate between members, and even PM Blair.

Where is everyone? I think congress should go electronic, like NASDAC. Conduct meetings over the net. Then these politicians can stay in their home districts, stay in personal contact with their people that they represent. Instead most of these are lifer politicians who are practically permanent DC residents.
