@tandemmontecello Obsidian made NV, and besides they made NV specifically for the hardcore fallout fans that wanted a true sequel for the first two games. NV actually captured the feel of the first two, and continued the stories of factions such as the NCR, and the BoS from the west. Bethesda did a great job game wise on Fallout 3, but sequel wise they did a shit job.

They kept all of the culture (music, movies, television, most forms of entertainment) but technology advanced. Technology such as energy weapons and hover cars... Although if you notice, the Chinese Assault Rifle is just an AK-47, Lol.

This game was surprisingly under my radar in 2008. I had seen this trailers years before it's release and thought nothing of it. Then by Christmas of 2008, my good friend presents this game to me and the number of things that are possible and the quests, the armor, the open world landscape. All beautiful, and I went out on a limb and bought myself a copy of this game. Along with New Vegas and a handful of other games, Fallout 3 is one of the best game purchases I've ever made.

I dont know if it is the dlcs or if it is the game.it also sometimes loads forever when you enter buildings but other than those two i would rate this game at and easy 10 out of 10. thumbs up if you agree

One of the things hat effects console performance the most is dust cluttering the fan, Cleaning up you ps3 every now and then is a must. Some of the ps3 systems have a fan test in them which runs the fan at a very high speed it usually gets most of the dust out there...

Look it up and try it out should help with the lag. Other than that try looking up other ways to clean out dust from the PS3.

Take care not to damage the ps3 and pleasent gaming :P

Not yesterday fallout new vegas is alot mor bright and happy because fo1 n fo2 where also more bright and happy it's POST apocalypse that means after war and destruction not during so people should be farming etc but in fo3 no one is yet in fo1 farming is wide spread and fo3 bends the lore to almost breaking.

I hope the new fallout will give you a view of life during the Great War and life directly after. I think Fallout NV didn't feel the same as Fallout 3 because it felt more light heartened and bright. People are kind and plentiful. In fallout 3 I was by myself most of the time in a gloomy hostile city that really felt like a post apocalyptic world.

The companions seemed like meat puppets, New Vegas's inclusion of Companion quests where a good feature, it fleshed out the companions more. The inclusion of a Reputation system was much better than the Karma based system in Fallout 3. The story was also pretty generic, it was basically the stories of the first 2 Fallouts mashed together in an awkward way. And that's just the surface

@ThatDisembodiedVoice fallout new vegas is extremely glitchy/buggy/laggy, at least on the ps3, and this is to the point where its almost unplayable. the wasteland is dull and bland with way too many safe places and not enough areas of danger and entertainment that would make the game worth playing for more than a day. its the exact opposite of fallout 3, where danger was everywhere, with only a few small pockets of civilization left, where you have to fight just to stay alive.

@iamorganfreeman It should be noted that nothing makes sense in Fallout 3. The game takes place 200 YEARS after the apocalypse, and yet there seems to be no industry. All the weapons are antiques that should have broken a long time ago. In New Vegas, people actually construct guns. People in the capitol wasteland have also been apparently surviving on snack food from before the war for the last 200 years. Meanwhile, there's farms in New Vegas, something that makes sense.

Fallout 3 is a great game, but so is vegas. in comparison from Fallout 3 to Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 3 is more like campaign or just making the coolets megaton/tenpenny house. But for Vegas, there is a much more variety in weapons, ammo, apparel, and has more choices, but you can also aim down your sight, and you can be in more firefight-scenarios which is really fun.

Fallout 3 may better, but New Vegas's fantastic. F3 appealing to gamers, but NV appealing to Fallout fans. It's just more closely related to original games. More interisting chars and great dialogues. F3 got better gameplay but the world of New Vegas are outstanding.
