i feel so sorry 4 Deth Vampyre Goth kidculture man i was 16 when i saw srv LIVE & there's been no one finer or more powerful, not to mention SOUL & Heart no one comes close, so what i'm close to 50 i still rock out & will till ...
Willie Dixon tunes are great . Though a bit uptempo this is rather closer to the original Buddy Guy recording than my early experience with this song from the blues/rock breakthrough, Jeff Beck Group 1st album Truth circa 1968. Truth is a must hear for any serious blues/rock aficionado...check out the other Dixon penned tune Ain't Superstitious. if you haven't yet .
@Geepsterr Definitely a must hear! And this probably isn't many people's cup of tea, but I really love Megadeth's version of I Ain't Superstitious...but I'm biased cause I REALLLY love Megadeth!
@csi2448 Sheesh, you got me on that one, haven't heard it but I have heard George Lynch do it , Ain't Superstitious that is, somewhat based on Becks...... Just hunted it down, Not into the voice too much but Interesting extrapolation on the guitar work,,,cool , I like that they permuted some riffs, turning the intro line "upside down" so to speak.
Check out the "Johnny WInter Incident" video on Youtube. Some idiot throws a bottle at Johnny during his amazing encore and he gets mad and walks off the stage. Performers (especially as great as Johnny and SRV) are NOT garbage cans!
I feel ya on that one. But that's what happens when you get drunk people involved with friends and/or drunk friends and all the goofballs around them!
Somebody threw something, I think an empty carton of something up on the stage or at him. And of course Stevie went off. And yeah an amazing song indeed!
God how does he do it!... he plays with speed and power, makes each solo different...... and his songs don't get boring... he didn't just know how to play but also how to make real music
I love Stevie's faces, I constantly find myself making weird faces listening to Stevie and all my friends stare at me like I'm a nut. Too bad, Stevie's music makes me feel like nothing else I've ever heard or seen
Hey thanks dude I've had this for the longest time but I didn't know where it was from. If you have it, post the one from "The Wild Man from Houston Plays Texas," it blows this one out of the water

It's something you are born with. It's called SOUL. Some people can play up and down and shred away but if you don't live IN IT you'll never have it.
