It is six nations land as the treaty states that they own 6 miles on either side of the whole river. I think its unfortunate that this couple went through this. @kefri916 Per capita yes natives do commit more crimes in Manitoba then non natives however this is not true for all reservations, and all the ones that are not impoverished actually have lower crime rates then the National avg. My problem with your statement about jails being filled with natives, is that since natives account for 4.3% of Canadas total pop. While crime is committed by 9.2% of Canadas total pop.
So even if every native was a criminal we would still be outnumbered by about .8%

It is six nations land as the treaty states that they own 6 miles on either side of the whole river. I think its unfortunate that this couple went through this. The 6 nations protesters should have let them back to their house, as these people had nothing to do with it. Though I can understand the fustrations for six nations...it all comes down to the government not respecting treaty rights..until this happens they must continue to fight for the rights of the six nations land.

By the year 2030 your prime minister will be wearing a turban. If you think the Europeans mistreated aboriginals, just wait until these third world politicians have control over your destiny. Your welfare cheques will drop to zero, and you'll be arrested for terrorism when blocking highways. The future does not look good for Canadian Indians, especially those who refuse to work.

NO ONE SHOULD STAND FOR SUCH THINGS. We're a democracy so why can't the Natives work things out in a peaceful manor like the INNOCENT people who are protesting against such illegal actions. If it was happening closer to you, or your family you would be more concerned about the issue, but since its far everyone can alleviate the actual problems that are happening there. Its not just land. Its about the police not protecting civilians as they're OATH ED to protect.

So why do they then have the right to harm innocent people, send them to the hospital, attack police officers, make threats, and mean while EVERYTHING IS ON VIDEO! You want a history lesson.
