  • I used rap this word for word hahahahah good ole days!!!

  • Does anyone know where the "I'm down by law" vocal sample is from? Is it just a recording of Fab Five Freddy saying that line, or is it from somewhere else? And is it true that the "ready on the firing line" sample is from "Serpico"?

  • LONG LIVE WILD STYLE BABY! REMEMBER THE ROOTS KIDDIES! & all 4 elements of hip hop. cuz the kids of the future wont have a fuckin clue! not a god damn clue!

  • one statement for me

    -HIP HOP HISTORY-

study this movie, learn this movie, obtain a copy,

I personally have a copy in my DVD collection, in my laptop and on my Ipod.....and I have snip its on my andriod....

  • Busy Bee is no joke-- LOL he kinda looks YOUNGER these days w/ the long hair! He just did a record with me.. on a Krs-One produced album.. check out krsonealbum dot c om and under "the album" check out "married girl"--song-- Busy Bee does an HYSTERICAL cameo on it-- dunno how much of it is in the sample online though

  • cool

  • pussys

  • king busy!!!!!!!

  • Busy Bee rocked that shit!!!

When Hip Hop was electrifying it didnt matter what you said as long as you rocked the beat afterwards it didnt take much else for people to soak up what was said.

Today mullfuckas dont rock the beat they just rap and skip over all the intricate grooves

  • DOWN BY LAW!

  • FUCK TOO SHORT CLIP.

  • new yorkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • shit

  • dope

  • busy b for president

  • The bottom is this.the heyday of rap and the rappers, was the 70's, but back then, no one has video cameras, and noone thought it would be this big, to even think about preserving this.those werr the days, with more creativity, less gangsterism and spinning the discs. CDs just kill the beat.

  • This is kind of random, but can anyone tell me anything about "Change the Beat"? Who's voice is it at the end? (aaahhh, this stuff is really fresh"), and how did that make it? And how did Freddy and Beside get together? I have a copy (scratched the fuck up), but there isn't a lot of info. A friend of mine has a French version, as in all the printing on the 12-inch cover and wax itself is in Francais. Somebody pull my coat, please.

  • 50 cent is rap, busy bee is old skool hip-hop, 2 different things....

  • 50 cent is a pop chart sucka

This is real hip hop. Get it right.

  • Word this is real Hip Hop! That bullshit that comes on the radio today is classified as Hip Hop and R-n-B. It's all one in the same. the only way to tell the difference is if they decide to let the rapper rap longer on let the singer sing longer.

  • OMG..u must see a doc man

  • haha you obviously dont know jack... hiphop the 4 elements and the rap is the music... fuck you seriously need to take some lessons on hiphop culture and the history like alot of young dudes...

  • I obviously do, i just don't boast about it like a little bitch.

  • its so funny when these newage pop-hoppers think that rap and hiphop are 2 different music genres

  • hip is 2 no and hop is the movement

  • orly?

  • lmao are you serious lmao , no one respects him. i have 2 recordings of 78 and one in 1980 live shows and the 78 ones are like half anhour longa nd they just keep rapping and rapping on the spot. and in 80 its 20 minutes long. 50 cent raps for like 5 minutes and his beats and music style sucks

  • This is before Busy Bee looked like he just stepped off of Battlefield Earth

  • LOL!!!!

  • Yo this is that crazy ish

  • The Track That "Busy Bee Starski" Is Rhyming On In This Clip Is Called "Down By Law" And It Has Vocal Sample Snippets Of Fab 5 Freddy.

"Down By Law" Is One Of My All Time Favorite Beats And I Own Everything Thats "Wild Style" Related On All Media But I'm Looking For The Original Pressing Of The Wild Style Break Beats The DJS Used In The Movie Because Those Are RARE!

    Peace,

    KinG KLaST

  • You mean like the Baby Beat and Jungle Beat the backing instrumentals and stuff?

  • All The Break Beats Were Created By Fab 5 Freddy, Members Of The Band "Blondie", And Drummer "Lenny Ferrari" Who's Father Played The Drums For James Brown Once Or A Couple Of Times Way Back. There Were Samples Used To Make Each Break, But They Are Mostly Sound Effects: A Baby Crying, Screams, Etc. Etc. And Vocal Snippets From "The Shadow" Also.

    Peace,

    KinG KLaST

  • Fab 5 Freddy says in the commentary for Wild Style (DVD extras) that there were only 100 pressings of each of those jams made! Good luck man! I really hope you can get your hands on some. That would be AMAZING!

  • The track name is "down by law". I remember going to basement parties where the DJ was the star and the MCs were in the backround just to back him. Man times have changed. Gotta love it though..One

  • I hate to be a smart ass but I think Chris Stein made that beat for Fab 5 Freddy and Freddy just looped "Down By Law". It is a well known fact that Chris Stein(From the group Blondie) had a major production influence on the soundtrack!

  • that beat is crazy.anybody know where the sample came from? or even the rapper that was on it? anything please.

  • fab 5 freddy made this beat so i guess theres no sample

  • Naw! I already did the research. Grand Wizard Theodore made that beat. From 3 seperate records. It's called "Subway Theme".

  • ok mijo, you are confused · "subway theme"!!!.. thats another track man, the beat you are talknig about is fab 5 freddy - down by law · and if you are sure that there are samples that "grand wizard theodore" used for that beat, ok i´ll wait ´til you find em and tell us then name of the samples :D

  • I have the song fool! i will email it anytime.Did you even research before you replied to me? You just made yourself look like an asshole. Just look at the credits at the end of wild style you idiot.WTF are you talking about? do your research "Mijo"! Somma u guys on here are so dumb.the net has all the info in the world but u would argue before u google.that is the sign of an idiot!

  • hahahaahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahah take it easy homes! ok you are right but i wanna know something... the beat you was talking about.. "that beat is crazy.anybody know where the sample came from? or even the rapper that was on it? anything please." that was the beat that busy bee was rapping on the video right? · are you sure thats grand wizard theodore´s "subway theme"?

  • I hate to be a smart arse but everyone is wrong, the same sample is used in both of those songs, they are just names for tracks from the wildstyle soundtrack. The sound track pretty much uses the same few beats for the whole time with different mc'ing. it was made by the guitarist from blondie and someone else

  • i think moe dee was shitty for comin in bee's house to rip 'em...such is life tho...

  • man i miss the days of house parties with the red light and the DJ killin the cuts and whoever could flow got on the mic and repped....the roof top, the roxy, the fever, man cats in hip hop today dont know what they are missin

  • i wish i had this track on vinyl ;D

  • Rap Will Never Die

    (quote: MC Shy D.)

  • if it wasnt for this movie i dont think their would of been hiphop their is today. honestly it came from movies like this, then beat street and breakin and so forth. oh man busy bee where are you today?? u must be retired now smoking a hi5

  • Down by LAW!!!

  • Very.

  • Aint Nothin beta

  • badder than bold, bolder than bad!

  • FACT: Its Busy Bee Starski & GrandWizard Theodore.

  • This beat is so ill. It is such a classic. This should read Busy Bee (emcee) and Love Bug Starski (dj).

  • No doubt Slik. The good ole days.

  • thats when hiphop was fun.

  • or is that double dee and steinski ?

  • isn't it busy bee and steinski... not starsky ?

  • Wild Style!

  • I still love dancing to this beat.
