Sometimes its depressing thinking about the older games and hearing the music and stuff and wanting to play it because you had good memories and its like going back to a simpler time and not having to worry about life.
Fable 1 was the bast game of all time. If they could make Fable 4 and just have it like Fable with a dog, I would be happy. But Noooooo, they had to go kill off all the Heroes and stuff.
Fable2/3 were utter, utter fucking shit compared to this game. I really loved this game with a passion and the sequels fucking ruined everything. I don't give a crap if fable 3 has "guns" or fable 2 "intoduced a dog" the games are shit. This game was perfection and now it's fucking tainted with the shit of the sequels. PLEASE LIONHEAD make a next-gen version of fable1 with all the BEAUTIFUL music and ATMOSPHERE and pure PLEASURE that we all knew and loved. I am pissed off.
@BriansBannister Fable 1 was the best, but no need to hate on Fable 3. Fable 3 was BRILLIANT. Not because of the story or gameplay, but just because it brought back the atmosphere of Fable:TLC and actually added MAJOR consequences to your decisions. Which is something that Fable 2 and Fable:TLC lacked.
@LitaniTilSatan666 Ok I'll concede I slightly enjoyed fable 3 but I still think a lot of it was just re-hashed crap. (music in particular). And I didn't really understand the point of the game. If you wanted to be good (save the kingdom) you had to be bad! And vice versa. Thats not even pragmatic, it's just making you play the game in a completely opposite fashion from the way you want to play it.

Fable is directly comparable to Bioshock. They both established a previously unseen standard for their genres, and instead of the minds behind them expanding their groundbreaking take on gaming in new directions, both spawned unnecessary sequels that tarnished their glorious names.
Fable was huge disappointment for me back in the day. Molyneux promised too much. I miss Project Ego, and I was hoping Fable II would be more like it. Not so. At least the series is decent enough, just a shell of all its promise. That said, its music is very good.
@Ellidyr Sure, a lot of people will. A lot of people won't. Peter Molyneux promised way too much for Project Ego, though, and it never came to fruition. The final game we got was way too short, lacked features that were talked about before hand and lacked the innovation it promised, mostly because not only were PC based RPGs were doing morality systems years before, but better, but because KOTOR, a much finer game using a morality system had come out on the Xbox a year earlier.
To me Fable 2 was good in that it introduced the dog and 1 button combat but not much else plus everything seemed centralized and accessible I could finnally own property and all I do love fable 1 though and hope fable 3 will become the next big game cant wait to be king!
what was wrong with the 2nd one was it got easier after the spire- when it should have gotten alot harder. It took out any depth- there was nobody you struggled to beat, also you should have woken up where you got shot and had to fight your way to the spire- fighting a boss just before (a hard boss)
in every game it should get harder as the game progresses, because the player gets better thats when you can put in the challenge. after the player has got to grips with the game and has fully upgraded the skills they use

@danzinnyman maybe but its a big maybe, they areant working on it now, and they always say they areant planning on it. The fact that most games get torrented is probably a big concern. Who knows though I wasnt expecting fable on the pc but it did happen.

I adore this music. The tune makes me think of the music box a little in Fable 2.
I'm sure this theme was written by Danny Elfman, whilst the rest of the game music was composed by Russell Shaw.
It sounds very typical of Elfman's extraordinary work.
