  • LOL THE BAND NAME IS HILARIOUS

  • Yea, the album is great, who's Ass is that?

  • Reminds me of the KLF somehow - even more so on the Stuart Price remix

  • I can't help it....the first seconds sound a lot like Polarkreis 18 "Allein Allein" (Live at Huxleys). Thats why I always think of the german guys when I listen to the genius "Night Work"! Both great bands. btw: and WTF does Gandalf here !? I can't believe it.

  • wtf the guy talking from 4:02 till 4:40 sounds like Sir Ian McKellen aka Gandalf from lord of the rings....can he really like scissor sisters?

  • @pan0s95 yes, the voice is from Sir Ian McKellen :) I guess it's a gay thing plus you should agree that this song is pure genious

  • I WANT TO HEAR MORE ANA.

  • sounds like the b 52's and pink floyd ... work

  • Trent Fm Arena yesterday. This was awesome :')

  • @KLAXON163 loved these but also the hurts brill

  • The music video to this song makes no sense... sucks if they're trying to "go Gaga" with how it bares no relation to the song/lyrics.

  • play it loud in your car lar!

  • kinda reminds me of Duran Duran

  • This is the kind of leap forward Donna Summer made when she hooked up with Giorgio Moroder.

  • I love this sh*t right here! And you gotta love Gandalf at the end!

  • can't wait for this video for REALZ!

  • @keith930ful Its been around for ages....

  • Hey Scissor Sisters Fans, iht könnt am 22.10. 2 Konzert tickets zum Preis von 1 auf livedome.com ergattern. Diese aktion läuft nur am 22.10.

  • Has a strong 'Frankie Goes To Hollywood' feel with the beat

  • @kiltedking completely!!!!! And it's got a bit of Pet Shop Boys in the Verse, MJ's Thriller as well!!

  • thats one tight ass!

  • 1:36 very Bee Gees like

I love this sound and Scissor Sisters but most the Bee Gees

  • A perfect mix between the bee gees and pink floyd!!!

  • Jake has such a lovely voice when he's singing non-falsetto. I've never heard him like that before. Love this song so much!!

  • awesome song, brilliant singing/voice

  • who is singing in this song?this sounds so different than previous scissors sisters songs

  • great song of the year

  • Excellent song! Addictive :)

  • Ass for an album cover... strange...

  • why this isn´t a single? far more watch times than any which way..

  • sounds like: depeche mode, beginning sounds like thriller, modern talking, petshop boys, human league... its like an 80s mash-up

  • I fuckin love this song!!!

  • 5:04 = ear orgasm

  • reminds me of pink floyd too

  • Reminds me of Pink Floyd :D

  • If you stare it look's like it's getting closer >:P

  • This needs an EPIC music video. srsly. Someone call or email them already so they don't miss it!

  • Che culo niente male :D ahahahahaha

  • The cover image is a Robert Mapplethorpe of the ballet dancer (and founder of the Contemporary Ballet Company) Peter Reed. Like many other talented artists of that time, both died in the 80's during the hight of the AIDS epidemic before the first generation of anti-HIV drugs were developed.

  • sounds like floyd?

  • Ooops, I meant to say "La Isla Bonita," not "Erotica."

  • You can tell it's produced by Stuart Price. The percussion sounds a bit like that from "Erotica" on the Confessions Tour DVD. It still sounds great, and I can't get enough of this song.

  • Sounds very Pet Shop Boyish. If there is such a word.

  • @gharman19291 Omg, I actually thought I was the only one! :O

  • @Larmour

what about "almost trance maybe" ;) rofl <3

  • @0emmydee0 Chaat appp. :3

  • Great. Best track of the album. Why is it the last one? Hmm... Anyways - LOVE IT!

I have a feeling that this isn't gonna be a single. I could imagine an epic music video though.

  • Amazing. Takes me back to raves in Philladelphia about 1/3 of the way into this awesome song

  • I loved so much I just ordered it on Amazon

  • why that picture! im scared for life! ahh ! thanks alot youtube!

  • IS AMAZING!!!!

  • I love this song!

    Thank you, Scissor Sisters.

  • Epic !

  • Just got this today, The must have been doing a lot of listening to Animotion, Lover Boy and the Human League I didn't know it was the early eighties again, if it is why am I fat and middle aged?

  • LOVE IT.

  • @jbecker8082 Pitchfork: Best of all, the epic "Invisible Light" does for gay clubs what "Thriller" did for horror movie

  • Haha ian McKellen, a great collaboration!!!! I really love this song with all my soul, just i can't beat the feeling!!!

  • i feel love...

  • Hypnotic trance, like Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Almost perfect.

  • Phenomenal queer art a straight man can enjoy.

  • its not my taste of music, but i like it=)

  • "Pink Floyd vs the Bee Gees"

    Perfect description of this song!

I love it. I want to own the album. I don't care how different it may be from their earlier stuff. Loved that, love this.

  • @a2mark57 It doesn't really sound like the Bee Gees.

  • @Gibdo88 "It doesn't really sound like the Bee Gees." No, it doesn't sound just like the Bee Gees. The original comment was that it sounds like "Bee Gees vs. Pink Floyd." The song has elements of both: the Bee Gees' falsetto, disco beat, polyrhythmic drums; Pink Floyd's darkness, ambient sounds, polyrhythmic drums. "Invisible Light" could be the love child of a one-night-fling between "Saturday Night Fever" and "Momentary Lapse of Reason."

  • I feel like I need designer drugs, glitter, cigarettes and fishnets after listening to this. It's so dirty. Fucking love this shit.

  • I don't know why I like this song so much but dammit I can't get enough of it.

  • Ecstatic!!

  • @jbecker8082 LOL oh so true!

  • I think this album is just as good as their first and WAY better then Ta Dah!!!!!!!

  • that is the jake's ass?

  • @paralizher no, it's a picture of a gay ballet dancer, from the 80s

  • @jbecker8082 loool!!l

  • I have to admit, I'm not big into the Scissor Sisters, but this is amazing!

  • they did a song with amanda lear...great

  • Right On !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this track from the album..... the voice over reminds me of Richard Burton on War of the Worlds.

  • @Shamlay Maneto ftw.

  • It's a mans ass isn't it?

  • With ian McKellen, if I hear right ....

  • Good song, butt queer inuendo promotion!

  • What a great ASS!

  • @juustgirl2008 the QUESTION is how the hell did it get on their cover?!

and do i get any royalties for it?

  • woot fukin woot see ya cunts in the big top

  • My best track on the album.... However I like nearly all of them :)

  • Great Production, damnit - they've done it again.

  • HOPE THEIR PROMOTION IS WIDELY. REALLY NICE ALBUM.

  • Another awesome f*cking song from the new album. Anyone else here the similarity to Frankie Goes to Hollywood's "Two Tribes?" There's also some overtones of Pink Floyd in here from Momentary Lapse of Reason. A great song to be for sure and they make it their own.

  • the new scissor sisters album is 100% fantastic buy it down load it its fab

  • sexy ass! *_*

  • Awesome song

  • The whole album is excellent but I guess that some here will think it's a secret attempt on taking over the world ;-p

  • There is so much Illuminati symbolism in this track its unbelievable!

  • Yeah the album has to grow on you, well its deffo better than their second one. This track is my favorite!

  • I prefer their glam rock songs...

  • If this track sounds this good on my crappy laptop speakers... I'm so buying this. It's like the best dance remixes of 1983 through 1987 all over again. Except much, much better. This band never fails to surprise.

  • first time i disappointed

and then love more and more when hearing over and over

    - sex and violence

    - fire with fire

    - invicible light

first album and this album both great

    i hate ta-dah so boring

  • Return to oz was about The overpower of Crystal Meth in New York City.........

  • I like skin tight, kiss of France

  • i'll definitely buy the album and am a huge fan but this one track seems rather simple compared to the tah dah tracks. i'm looking forward to hearing the entire program.

  • @movitmovit

If you're a fan of the Sisters then...yeah, its worth it. Although I was disappointed at first, I never felt it was a waste of money. I just don't think its their best, that's all.

  • Cut Copy should totally remix this.

  • It really is Gay Thriller, heheh.

  • @mrandy hehehe I like that, gay thriller...how right you are-)))))

  • damn this song is awesome!

  • puts me in the mind of al pacino's movie, Cruising! nice , sleazy New york underground Disco......welcome back Scissor sisters!-)

  • come and visit this amazing music blog.......

    beatbeatblog

.......if you like what you read/hear then why not subscribe too - it's free!!!

  • The beginning sounds like momentary lapse of reason era pink floyd and the song is just so damn good. Scissor Sisters you've done it again!

  • this is hot and very good

  • Invisible light oooh oooh !!

  • Just bought the album, but I'm not really all that impressed with it. It might grow on me over time, but I feel like whole album is just gay-club-dance tunes(I don't mean that in a negative way), rather than a good variety of songs. There is sadly no "Return To Oz", "Mary" or "Land of a Thousand words" on this outing I'm afraid.

  • @SamusDrake

apparently they had an entire album finished but scrapped it so that they could do all dance tunes. the reason that they gave is that people who listened to the scrapped album were not impressed with how dark it was.

  • @movitmovit

Bit of a shame that. Still, I'm happy to say the magic has happened and I've had the album playing non stop. "Fire with Fire" is perhaps the best track and from "Skin tight" onwards the album is actually pretty good.

  • @movitmovit For the record, the reason the first album was scrapped because Jake Shears and the rest of the band were dissatisfied it - dark lyrics don't have anything to do with it, so far as I heard. He wrote the current version while going to clubs in Berlin, hence the techno / dance club feel.

  • @RiardoSvandel

i was reporting what i had read. i read that they thought it was too dark and that the people they played it for were indifferent and these were a couple of the reasons that they were dissatisfied with it. if you have the inside line on some other info, please feel free to share.

  • @SamusDrake I was thinking of buying the album, but after what you said I'm not so sure. The thing I always liked about them was the versatility of their style, rather than just "gay-club-dance-tunes". "Return To Oz" and "Mary" are two of their best songs in my opinion.

  • @Bree6801

I love Return to Oz. Brilliant song that connects to me as I am now. I almost know it word-for-word! ^_^

I don't think Night Work is one to miss out on if you like their music, but if you're not sure I would get it when the album comes down in price. I got it for £9 and despite my initial thoughts, I'm actually happy with it now(its grown on me). I would have been a bit miffed at paying the likes of £13, though.

  • The last track sounds like pink floyd. Our is that what they are going 4?

  • an invisible light, OH! and invisible light, I WANT!

  • Can somebody please explain the connection between the album title and (what I assume to be) a blokes' lycra clad arse on the cover.

    Just asking.

Maybe in my innocence I am totally missing something.

  • @lezzliea

    hahahah....

  • I heard this song on FTV for fashion week (Paris) and fell in love with it <3

  • So e simplesmente Perfeito e Magnifico! + uma vez as irmas tesoura deslumbram com a sua musica!
