  • And think that is Thurl Ravenscroft (Tony the tiger) singing that song, a breakfast mascot never sounded scarier

  • this was my favorite song from The Hobbit :)

  • the ponys!! the ponys!

  • I find it funny that they run right to the Goblins.

  • Thumbs up if you feel disgusted that South Park nearly butchered this beautiful classic.

  • @SgtR3ynolds; Thumbs down, because no, they didn't.

  • What are the lyrics of the song?

  • "You go my lad. Ho ho my lad"

  • @SoxxOnTroxx Forgive me being a perfectionist and all but I'm pretty sure (because I've read the book of the Hobbit and all) that it's "Ticke my Lad" even if it sounds gay :)

  • Frodo looks so fucking high.

  • @Panzervagon er... Frodo's not in this one, mate. That's Bilbo you're looking at. Hobbit, not LotR. :)

  • aaaaaa rape?

  • @herpescookiemoster In what way?

  • why does this remind me of lord of the rings

  • @NOLANRYANHOSKINS becuase the hobbit is the startng story of lord of rings

  • Yeah... Down down to Goblin town ! I remember it from the book :)

  • The songs are of this movie are deeply ingrained in my head, from watching this a ton as a kid. This was like my favorite movie.

  • sucks

  • You win all the internets if you knew this song before South Park did it.

  • @MBirn277 YAYZ

  • They'd better put this song in the new Hobbit movie, or I'LL take them "down, down, to Goblin-town"!

  • @ilovemuslimfood666 they already ruined gandalf's reflection judging by the trailer. I hope the soundtrack is still good and FUCK southpark.

  • SOUTHPARK!

  • Go away South Park junkies. You're in the realm of the epic stories now.

  • @BADDRAGONgames Time to live in the present, as in the 21st Century! I suppose you tell all the video game players out there to shelve their PS3s and XBOX 360s and pick a Dungeons and Dragons game board...the past is the past, the future is now!

  • @grizzlytomahawk Not at all, I just tell them don't bother with random stupidity, such as the jokes and plots in South park ^_^

  • when i first saw this as a kid this scene gave me nightmares but I loved it for some reason. it's actually one of my favorites to this day.

  • The goblins looks so goodXD

  • Awesome song

  • I swear, if this song is not in the new movie ...

  • @Morkoth3 My thoughts exactly!

  • Thank you R and B. The only Dwarves I've seen that are pussies.

  • @Rensune everyone is a pussy when it comes to goblins with god like singing voices.

  • oh look, ganons family

  • ahaha love this song

  • "Hey guys, let's sleep in this strange cave without setting a watch, and then let's chase our horses without bringing any weapons!"

  • @Zwei4815 As Dwarves they have different natures from humans, material possessions are more important to them than they are to humans(and that is really saying something)

  • YIKES!!! Terrifying guys with a song to match

  • Memories....

  • This always freaked me out as a kid.

  • ;)

  • Run, run, the battle's on, Wikileaks and Lemmiwinks!

  • I didn't know this but the animators of this cartoon were a Japanese studio...

Technically making this an Anime. I always thought the character design; Especially for Biblo...looked kinda Anime-ish.

  • @Mikeanglo Actually, the designs for Bilbo, Gandalf, and the dwarves come from Tolkien's own drawings.

  • @Mikeanglo Well, the animators of this cartoon went on to work at Studio Ghibli.

  • this the best song ever ahahh gotta transpose this to 7 string guitar

  • Just saw south park bass to mouth, reminded me of this song!

  • I wish the DVD for this movie didn't suck ass. Most of the sound effects are missing because some twat rocket at Warner Bros. forgot one of the audio tracks during the restoration.

  • ADD ME ON BBM I AM A GOBLIN

  • Does thorin say "Crap the goblins have us!"

  • Comment removed

  • I loved smog as a child

  • This has remained my favorite movie since childhood. I particularly enjoyed their take on the goblins, wood elves, Smaug and Gollum. And the goblin songs. And Gandalf. And, and, and... Thanks for uploading!

  • i like how in the cartoons, the goblins and orcs arent these scrawny little brainliess creatures without a spine. they are big and look more like monsters rather then creatures, and they can actually think on their own, even to the point of establishing a monarchy (in the goblins case).

  • -_- why are so many comments on such a great movie about freakin southpark.

  • @NegaZxyz because its freakin hilarious....

  • "dwarfs have a strange notion of perfection."

  • Wikileaks disliked this.

  • I'm so happy my dad owned a VHS of the movie years ago or else I wouldn't have gotten the reference from South Park

  • I got this reference and I'm 16! Back in my younger days this was my favorite movie on VHS!

  • I remember watching this in class a long time ago x~X

  • These goblins seem more like TROLLS to me.

  • Anyone between 28 and 35 was probably brought here by Lemiwinks.

  • @Rompcom Nope, don't even watch South Park, the only reason I even know what that means at all is from looking at the related videos. Ended up here after watching a bunch of other videos from the Hobbit/Lord of the Rings movies (after seeing the Lord of The Rings ones, but not this, as a kid).

  • Looks like South Park brought everyone here.. I just had to search for other people talking about it because that song is so cool :D

  • I freakin love these goblins!, best part of my childhood was wactching this movie

  • One of my favorite movies of all time.

  • catatafish... made a salmon suck asshoooole

  • OMG when I saw the new South Park episode, I found the Lemiwinks vs Wikileaks music vaguely familiar. Then for some reason I remember The Hobbit, a movie I have not seen in about 10 years. I was right! It was The Hobbit! That's the fastest I have ever found the source of a song that sounded familiar. It usually annoys the hell out of me for so long!

  • I am proud of everyone that got the south park reference. Although most of you that did are probably my age of 30 The Hobbit to this day remains one of my favorite books. I hope that the songs are included in the live action version.

  • @JonGee420 well i'm only 16 and i got the reference. I've been watching this since before i could walk, and i've read the hobbit twice.

  • ah, that sp ep brought back so many memories, i grew up with this movie

that reference (plus the return of lemmiwinks) made me love that ep

  • fuck me retards stop repeating the same shit you all look like sheeps.

  • GO LEMMIWINKS STOP WIKILEAKS :))))

  • ahaha i thought i was the only one who got the sp reference. Was raised on this movie

  • hahaha so awesome they pulled that out for SP. Trey and Matt brought me back about 20 years with that theme song

  • Go lemmiwinks! Stop Wikileaks!

  • It's good to see so many people got the South Park reference.

  • Thumbs up if the Southpark episode Bass to Mouth brought you here!

  • by far the most hardcore goblins ive seen in fantasy.

  • Good to see I am not the only one who caught this. Looks like there is hope for us yet!

  • Go Lemmiwinks!

    Stop Wikileaks!

  • It's so cool to see that Trey and Parker are fans of this film too.

  • Down down to Goblin Town! Nice Soutpark resurrected this!

  • Love every bit of this movie! Music is aces.

  • Go lemmilinks! Stop Wikilinks!

  • I really wondered if it was just me who caught this on South Park. I had to watch it twice just to verify I heard the song correctly!

  • Go South Park! Haven't thought of this song in a long time.

  • Fuck yeah Lemmiwinks!

  • These goblins were forced by Cattatafish to do bass to mouth

  • @Ikilledjohnny catatafish made the goblins suck asshole...

  • I came here Because I saw this like 6 years ago and I love this movie and have re watched it numerous times. So I was watching South Park and they played this and I was like Fuck Yeah

  • Just watched the new south park episode, they actually stole this music and used it. The exact same music.

  • @cheeseintheair I was watching that too!

  • @cheeseintheair It's called parody, dude.

And I'm sure if you contacted the makers of this this version of the Hobbit and told them it was still relevant in 2011, they would be thrilled!

  • @Ikilledjohnny Lol I don't care or anything, I just couldn't believe they actually referenced this. It really caught me off guard.

  • @cheeseintheair right on...me too.

  • @Ikilledjohnny It was pure genius. I'm wondering if it's going to be one of their 2%'ers. Where only 2% of people watching get the joke. All y'all who be seein mysterion say yeah! Yeah!!!!

  • GO LEMMIWINKS! STOP WIKILEAKS!

  • THE PONIES!!!!

  • 1:08-1:14 There are no words to describe how close I came to screaming during the goblins' first appearance when I first saw this.

  • @WunderWaffleman

Goblins show up... "Fuck this shit I'm out!"

    LOL!

  • What's this? A Tea Party rally?

  • If I were bilbo and saw that i would have said screw you guys im going home

  • Whats the different between goblins, and orcs?

  • @ied86 Goblins are orcs who lived in dark tunnels for too long. They became smaller, more agile and are commonly are ruled by the bigger(aka fatter) of the tribe

  • @Dalboni Huhhhh......thank you!

  • @Dalboni the are not fat, they are fluffy. - Gabriel Iglesias.

  • One throat is for swallowing, the other is for unleashing their epic singing voices.

  • @TheWaqmaz They are the same thing...... The same EXACT thing.

  • @TheDoctorofOdoIsland I always thought of the Orcs being the skinny ones and the Goblins the fat ones. It made sense in my mind as a little kid.

  • @neofire10 There are fat "Orcs" too, though.

  • @TheDoctorofOdoIsland Yeah I know. I was just saying that when I was little it confused me that some were called Orcs and some were called Goblins. So I reasoned to my self that the Goblins were the ones in this movie, the fat ones. They weren't called Orcs in this movie they were called that in the LOTR movies so I reasoned that the skinny ones must be Orcs.

  • @neofire10 In the book, Frodo and Gimli have the same discussion

  • Man I loved this song when I was a kid!

  • am i the only one who thinks it looks like the goblins have two throats? that annoyed me so bad as a kid, as well as freaking me out. still does, as a matter of fact?

  • @silverdrop911 One probably leads to their lungs.

  • It always frightens me to think of what the goblins did to those ponies. This always scared me as a child.

  • @dressupjesus

It scared me as a kid, too. Brace yourself: in the book, it explicitly says that the goblins ate the ponies. They'll eat any kind of meat (possibly including other goblins). They are evil, after all.

  • @zvermilyer3 They're not evil. That's just how they are biologically. Like a hyena. The dwarves were in their territory. Sauron and Saruman forced them into fighting. They'd rather just stay in their caves. Now the Uruk-Hai, those were freakin' evil. Bred for only one purpose: Kill people.

  • @neofire10

True enough. Remember, though, that the Goblins are descended from the Orcs that were created by Morgoth in the First Age, and he bred them to kill people just like Saruman bred the Uruk-Hai. So they might not be completely evil, but they certainly have more evil in them than Elves, Dwarves or Humans. Also, after Smaug died, the Goblins immediately tried to take the opportunity to steal the Dwarves' treasure, which could be considered an evil deed.

  • @zvermilyer3 Actually I did not know that about Morgoth. honestly I've only read The Hobbit and the 3 LOTR books :( Sorry.

  • @neofire10

Really? In the case, I highly recommend you read The Silmarillion. It's a great book because you get to find out the backstory of characters like Gandalf, Elrond, Sauron, and Galadriel. If you do read it and enjoy it, I also suggest you read Unfinished Tales, which covers some of the same stuff (and more), but goes into more material.

  • @zvermilyer3 I'll need to get some money first. :D

  • @neofire10 I thought they were corrupted elves. Hyenas aren't corrupted.

  • @altarush Orcs are corrupted Elves. The Goblins that descended from the Orcs are just hungry.

  • What happened to all the sound effects in the movie?

  • Can you get the soundtrack from this m ovie without all voices and other sound but the songs?

  • "I WISH I WAS A WIZARD"...me too

  • dwarves sure are deep sleepers if they can't hear the sounds of rocks moving and sliding and falling as well as ponies screaming in terror...

  • Thank God for Peter Jackson making the movies, this cartons were awful!

specially the cartoon's of Lord of the Rings what a crappy animation specially the Uruk hai! Peter Jackson saved the day making the movies!

  • @Alucardtube636 This was actually pretty good compared to Ralph Bakshi's abomination.

  • @Alucardtube636 Peter Jackson is a faggot, he shouldnt have butchered Lord of the Rings. These old cartoons werent great, but that doesnt mean the shit Peter Jackson made was any good. If you ever read the book you would understand why i say this, ive heard way too many people talk like they know LOTR just because theyve seen the movie. The movie may be loosly based off of the book by JRR Tolkien, but they changed way to many things for it to actually represent the book.

  • @joebob535 the movie is awesome, you can not compare a movie with a book they are always going to be different, that is why it is based off of the book by JRR Tolkien not the same! if you don't like it don't see them don't see any movie based on book! because you're are always gong to say the same shit its not the same a s the book! Peter did an awesome job! and don't go and see the Hobbit! just read the books!

  • @joebob535 Um, I love the books AND the movies of LOTR. I think you should 1.) watch the extended versions of the movies, not the theatrical ones, because they are in the original form and twice as good and twice as long and probably contain most of the stuff you miss; and 2.) watch the 6-hours-per-movie behind-the-scenes that comes with the extended edition. After that I would be very surprised if you could view the adaptations as anything but incredible, even if they have their flaws.

  • @Milky111wtf i watched the movies when i was younger, and i own all the extended versions, they were good as far as movies go. but they could have done so much more, like completely missing the scouring of the shire. the entire story led up to that point, and they left it out of the movies. it just means someone is gonna have to go back one day and remake the movies accurately. they could have made six movies, but they didnt really care about the book, just their fame and money.

  • @joebob535 Well I guess that's where we disagree. Yes, they didn't do everything in the books, but not because they didn't care about them. They put a huge amount of detail into the movies that never had to be there! That's why I told you to watch the behind-the-scenes. The level of craftsmanship was indescribable. That's why it's impossible to say that they only were in it for the fame and the money. Of course they were making movies, not a tv series, so it had to be edited here and there.

  • Thank God for Peter Jackson making the movies, this cartons were awful!

specially the cartoon's of Lord of the Rings what a crappy animation specially the Uruk hai! Peter Jackson saved the day making the movies!

  • Thank God for Peter Jackson making the movies, this cartons were awful!

  • You know it doesn't matter. Peter jackson is making the hobbit. the tolkien family are not stopping him. if they would have the lord of the rings would not be here if they wanted to stop jackson. And maybe he might make more movies about middle earth.

  • Lol, best part was where the cave door opened and the entire group just ran into there. I mean, no Goblins weren't visible yet. No one knew what was in there, besides that it stole the ponies and there was no threat from outside. But they just stupidly all run in.

  • this always scared me, lol

  • Swish, smack! Whip crack!

    Smash, grab! Pinch, nab!

    You go, my lad!

    Ho, ho! my lad!

  • @yakult244 You have the manners of a boy-cow's dingle-dangle!!!!!

  • @yakult244 What dog?

  • Swish, smack! Whip crack! Smash, grab! Pinch, nab! You go, my lad! Ho, ho! my lad! The black crack! the back crack! The black crack! the back crack! Down down to Goblin-town Down down to Goblin-town Down down to Goblin-town You go, my lad! Ho, ho! my lad! Goblins quaff, and Goblins beat Goblins laugh, and Goblins bleat Batter batter [...........] ho Below, my lad! Ho, ho! my lad! The black crack! the back crack!
  • Capturing, dragging down to a darkened pit to be tormented in ways beyond comprehension is one thing, but SINGING while doing so is just beyond the pale!

  • Has anyone yet called your attention to the fact that this was actually released in 1977?

  • Ravenscroft - wouldn't that be a great name for a Tolkien wizard?

  • I sing this every time I go down a set of stairs. Any set of stairs.

  • I don't know what the fuck is up with ponies lately, but I'm glad the goblins took them.

  • Them fuckers can sing. Gotta appreciate Goblin's taste for music. Remember Fifteen birds? XD

  • I wonder what happened to the horses?

  • @jeffreysnydr If you've ever played the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion... you remember that certain stigma orcs had concerning horses?

  • @jeffreysnydr they eat them

  • @jeffreysnydr The goblins take them to The lord of horses who turns them into ponies. Then the goblins sell them to MLP fans. Its a twisted underground trade they established to be honest but it gives the goblin community money.

  • "The Goblins are upon us! Let's run in there completely unarmed! Surely this won't backfire!"

In all seriousness, this scene is so awesome.

  • @AwesomeRaptor21 Well, the ponies did have their weapons and running without those on monster infested mountains wouldn't be wise either way.

  • @Gernam12 Touche my friend.

  • am i the only one who notices that the goblins have two throats

  • 1:06

That "Down, down to Goblin Town" Is the darkest and scariest in this video. lol

  • I'm surprised the dwarves didn't start singing along, it is really catchy! Ho ho my lad! You go my lad!

  • Between this, Fifteen Birds, and Where's There's a Whip, the goblins have the catchiest songs!

  • Thirteen dwarves and a halfling lost to half-a-dozen goblins?

Time to find a new DM.

  • @NephandiMan HAAAAA!

  • I wish I was a wizard

  • bilbo is like butters from southpark lol

  • I've got the Fellowship of the ring animation movie, but I need this one too.!!..
